I had a sugar ant problem that I was unable to correct with home improvement store insecticides. The Drake technician was prompt and courteous. He explained what he was doing and why, and recommended a follow-up visit to ensure the ant problem was corrected. Since we were about to enter the colder weather season, where insect activity is reduced, I declined to set up a follow-up appointment. The ant problem slowly cleared up over the next several days to a week. After that, I had no more issue with the ants. It is now early May, and I haven't had a problem since.

It went very well. The service man was pleasant, polite, and courteous, and performed his duties in a very inconspicuous way. We really appreciated the good service.

One of their reasons for running the special, is so that they could have a chance to sell you a termite contract. They were very high in this area. Angies list has run several termite deals that were cheaper. I feel that the whole termite contract is a scam. If the products are as good and as long lasting as they say, why not just pay the labor and materials for the install. I can buy Termidor on the internet for about $50 a gallon. They want $800 to inject it around my house. Seems like a very high profit item to me.

I thought this deal was too good to be true. It was a thorough treatment inside and out. Very pleased. James was excellent and explained what he was doing. He was courteous and pleasant.

The cost was great for the quality of the spray used. They were so friendly on the phone and were able to get me an appointment within a few days of me calling. They showed up on time, and were extremely friendly. They sprayed the inside and outside of our home-every corner, nook and cranny. He even took a broom and got rid of all of the cobwebs around the perimeter of the house. He did a great job, however a couple of weeks after having our home sprayed, we started to see bugs again. As nice and professional as they were, I don't know how I feel about the chemical they used being strong enough and it definitely did not last very long.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There were no additional charges.

Richie took the time to ask if we were having specific problems. He completely explained what he was going to do. After he completed the work inside and out he asked if we were satisfied. I was so satisfied with his performance I signed up to continue their bimonthly service. Richie was knowledgable as well as professional.

They contacted me very quickly and came out within a few days to complete the work. There were no additional fees for the work beyond the prepaid cost. The technician arrived on time to the appointment. They answered my questions and were very prompt with the appointment time. It was great! They guy did a good job. I have signed up for additional pest control treatments with them.

I guess the prices are in line and I will use them again in the future.

See my rating for each categories above. I would use them if they were above and beyond my other company. Their price was actually higher but the deal breaker was that they do not make flexible service schedules. They want to come on preset dates/times to keep the contract valid(?). I often business travel and have a fence with locked gate so I requested to be called a day before so I can arrange for gate to be unlocked. However, they only offered a head-ups call the night before and said they would come on the scheduled date regardless. And if the gate is locked, I have to call in to reschedule the come back. Not sure if I understand this "keeping the contract valid" philosophy but yes, the gate will be locked if they come without me. UPDATE 6/1/2014: Few days after I posted a review per Angie's-List's request, Vanessa - Drake's district manager - called and offered to give me a heads-up call as early as I'd like. I thanked her and only asked for 1 day before so I can arrange as I often business travel. Thus I decided to give them the business as they showed as they are willing to take care of their customers. Their price is still higher than what I currently pay, but to me it is secondary to the work quality and superb customer service. Thank you, Vanessa and her crew! I am upgrading this review as well.

These guys are pros. They covered all the house from top to bottom and treated me like a friend. Would recommend.

The company was very punctual, professional, etc.. I am not completely sure the date I submitted was correct. It has definitely been a while (+7-8 months) since they sprayed my home and there are still no bugs.. The product they use is very good for keeping bugs away... The only complaint would be the product they use took the finish off of my new door handles when sprayed around the door entries.. I would hire them again to spray my home, I would just make sure they don't over spray onto my door handles.. Very nice technician and schedulers..

I was having a problem with ants inside and outside, so I purchased Angie's Big Deal. The company responded quickly and set up an appointment. The technician arrived on time and performed the interior work, but it was raining so he was not able to do the exterior that day. He was very professional and I felt comfortable with him in my home. Because he was not able to do the outside, he did some extra spraying inside until he could come back when the weather improved. After a couple of weeks, I had not seen anyone return but before I could call, the company called me to follow up and see if I was happy with the service. I mentioned that the outside had not been done yet. They were very apologetic and sent someone out the next day. It took a little while for all the ants to stop coming in from the outside but they died as soon as they came in the house, and eventually all the ants disappeared. It has been about 6 months with no recurrence. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and happy that my ant problem disappeared after only one treatment. I would use this company again.
