Description of Work: I hired this company for lawn care - fertilizer and pest control. It was a complete fiasco. I called to have someone come out to see the lawn. He attributed the problem to sprinklers. I had already called the sprinkler co. out twice and at the second visit, I was present to make sure the sprinklers were irrigating properly. I met with one of their managers. I wanted answers at to why the lawn was in such terrible shape. He was NOT honest to let me know that Drake screwed up. He simply said he was going to have the lawn treated again. I consulted with another lawn company shortly after that - he advised me that my lawn was infested with Chinch bugs, Sod Webworms, fire ants and had broadleaf weed present (dollar weed, buttonweed, dallis grass etc) and weedy grass present ( crabgrass etc).

+ -1 moreI feel like this was deceptive and that I didn't get my money's worth. They came out to spray for weeds. It's supposed to work for two months. It's been a month, and I still have weeds. The technician was a very nice guy, and very understanding. I felt like i didn't have to do anything on my end, but I'm not seeing any results whatsoever. I have beautifully green weeds. I called them to come out to spray an additional time, but I am still not seeing any results. He showed up on a Wed when our appointment was on a Thursday for the correction. I also had them spray for insects. I've noticed a decline in mosquitoes since he came back out, but I'm still seeing lawn moths around. They asked me to give 3-4 weeks for the weeds to start to decline. I am still not seeing any results. It feels like they're helping me get weeds.

+ -1 moreAfter hiring Drake I can honestly say I've almost had to upgrade my lawn mower. My yard is lush, green and thick. In the year since I've hired them, I can't say I've had one negative experience. I would high recommended Drake to anyone looking to improve the quality and appearance of their lawn.
Description of Work: I hired Drake to fertilize and treat my lawn. I had another company doing it before and they couldn't keep up with the high demands of the Florida summer. I had spotty areas of growth and a very thin lawn.

After a week or so there were a few small burnt areas due to uneven treatment I presume. Overall I am satisfied with the results so far. We'll see after the next treatment in July.

+ -1 moreThe initial in-home contact with Craig (General Mgr) was great. He explained all that would be done by his tech (Gabe). His company does way more than other pest services I have used in the past. For example, Gabe surveyed every inch of the outside walls and removed a ton of mud dauber nests. He also opened all the outlets and checked for bug droppings. Unfortunately, he did find bug residue behind one plug in the kitchen. Not to worry. He put extra treatment and told me to look for any activity within the next few days. I was very impressed with Craig and Gabe's professional attitude and thorough service. I would feel confident in recommending Duck Pest Control to any person not happy with their current pest control service.

+ -1 moreAfter months of Pest Control inside and outside for fleas, the flea population never diminished and the manager is refusing to do a refund saying no fleas jumped on him when he came to my house. Their money back guarantee is a sham. I read reviews on Yelp and their own website with pet owners stating same complaints and quoting managernsaying "no fleas jumped on me" I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am thinking about suing for the bills I accumulated over $500 when their supposed treatment didn't do anything and we are,still getting bit daily. I pay $61 every other month for indoor service and $40 a month for lawn treatment. Our vet believes the Pest Control is not really treating for fleas or not treating at all.
Description of Work: I have been using Drake Pest Control for over a year with monthly service. About 6 months ago we added treatment for fleas both inside and outside. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Never had fleas before. All these months later, after multiple visits to the vet, flea baths, medications etc we still have fleas. We were told we had to stay out of the house for 3-4 hrs after treatments due to toxins in air and initially they wore masks. A couple no shows I contacted manager who came to my home, suggested a couple extra treatments. Each time we paid for a hotel as we had no place to keep four pets for 3-4 hours. We have no carpeting. We asked for furniture to be treated. We ended up throwing out a couch we had because we thought maybe it was infested. Hundreds of dollars later between vet bills, medications, and hotels fleas persist. They state a money back guarantee. They came last weekend and the guy was in my house for less than ten minutes. I went back inside, there were no aerosols, just a few puddles of white fluid in two living rooms and kitchen. The bedrooms and garage were not treated. The manager said my house was not infested because when he came out no fleas jumped on him and refused to give a refund. Three out of four people in my home have been bitten daily and the pets are still getting flea bites. Cats are indoor only. Dogs only go outside for bathroom purposes and never sit in yard. My one dog has so many recent flea bites he now has to be treated with antibiotics despite being on flea preventative and a seresto flea collar. I will post picture below.

They did offer extra service, but I didn't opt for that because we already subscribed to another pest control company, but I told them that we are going to try them out next year because we were still contracted with another company. They were good. They probably used their service. I will give them a good grade, but I remember I told them if they can spray the attic, but they say they don't spray attics. The ones that services our house for pest control, they usually spray the attic. They say they don't spray the attics. That is the only thing, but generally they are great. The price is very good.

Description of Work: We had rodents in our attic, (Roof Rats) the initial company who was my service provider came and performed an inspection and subsequently quoted me $3800.00 to eradicate the rodents, clean and disinfect the area, seal all entries to ensure no further problems. I contacted Drake for an estimate and they performed all the aforementioned for approximately $1000.00, needless to say I hired them for the job as well as fired my other service company and hired Drake to do my periodic lawn and pest control.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job on helping us get rid of a roach infestation in the kitchen area. Subsequent visits were prompt and thorough. The price for bimonthly service was a bit on the high side, so we didn't keep up with the service, but the cost for eradicating our roach problem was very good and we would use them again if need be.

+ -1 moreThey came to the house and placed some traps in the attic. They said that they did not find any entry for the rats along the outs of the house and left. The trap caught one rat and they said it probably was the only one. I heard noises in the attic again and called another company. They found 8 entries and at least 2 nests in the attic. Now I am hiring them to take care of the problem that Drake totally missed out. And they charged me 336 (!) dollars for that terrible service. Never recommending them or hiring them again.
