Description of Work: Dr. Jack's evaluated our yard for both pest control and fertilizer. The horticulturist was very thorough and explained all of the different plants in our yard and recommendations for pest control as well as fertilizer to help the lawn thrive. I would definitely recommend them.

THEY WEREN'T THAT GOOD OVERALL. MY HUSBAND STILL HAS TO TREAT THE LAWN HIMSELF IN ADDITION TO THE WORK THEY DID. I GAVE THEM LOWER GRADES BECAUSE IT DIDN'T TURN OUT TOO WELL. OTHER PEOPLE WE KNEW HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES.

OUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT WE WERE NEVER GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLAIN WHY THIS CUSTOMER'S LAWN WAS NOT PERFORMING TO THEIR EXPECTATIONS. ALL LAWN CARE CUSTOMERS OF DR. JACK'S RECEIVE FREE VISITS FROM ONE OF OUR HORTICULTURISTS, AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, WHENEVER THE CUSTOMER CALLS TO TELL US THEIR LAWN NEEDS ADDITIONAL ATTENTION BETWEEN ONE OF OUR REGULAR BI-MONTHLY APPLICATIONS. WE STATE THIS ON OUR AGREEMENT. SOMETIMES LAWNS NEED ADDITIONAL ATTENTION AND IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S OR THEIR AGENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY US WHEN THAT NEED ARISES. A LOT CAN HAPPEN TO A LAWN BETWEEN ONE OF OUR EVERY OTHER MONTH APPLICATIONS, AND WE NEED TO BE INFORMED WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM. ST. AUGUSTINEGRASS IS NOT A NATIVE PLANT TO FLORIDA AND IT CAN REQUIRE A LOT OF ATTENTION TO PROVIDE AN ACCEPTABLE LAWN FOR SOME PEOPLE. SOMETIMES WE NEED TO MAKE ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED ONES, SOMETIMES THE EFFORT HAS TO COME FROM OTHERS, IN THE CASE OF IMPROVED IRRIGATION, IMPROVED MOWING PRACTICES OR RESODDING DUE TO UNCONTROLLABLE WEEDS. WE OFFER THIS FREE, PROFESSIONAL ADVICE WHEVEVER REQUESTED. IT IS DIFFICULT TO COMMENT ON THE SPECIFICS OF THIS FEEDBACK NOT NOWING WHAT THE SPECIFIC ISSUES WERE. IN ADDITION, THIS CUSTOMER WAS WITH US FOR OVER 2 YEARS AT THEIR CURRENT RESIDENCE AND REHIRED US AFTER USING US AT ANOTHER LOCATION FOR SEVERAL YEARS.

THEY ARE NEWLY HIRED, AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE SO FAR. SO FAR THEY'RE GOOD. THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT TO DO THE WORK WERE VERY FRIENDLY, AND ON TIME.

WE DID HAVE DIFFICULTY KEEPING COLOR IN THIS LAWN AT ALL TIMES DURING THE 3 YEARS THAT WE SERVICED IT. THE SITE WAS MUCKY AND WET DURING OUR INSPECTIONS AND THAT MAY HAVE AFFECTED THE RESULTS FROM OUR APPLICATIONS. WE DO NOT CONTROL THE IRRIGATION. EXCESSIVE IRRIGATON CAN LEACH FERTILIZERS PREMATURELY BEFORE THE GRASS CAN ABSORB THE NUTRIENTS. ALL CUSTOMERS RECEIVE INFORMATION ON PROPER IRRIGATION PRACTICES AND ARE PROVIDED A FREE IRRIGATION GUAGE. SOMETIMES IT CAN ALSO BE DIFFICULT TO KEEP A GOOD GREEN COLOR IN ST. AUGUSTINEGRASS, DUE TO OTHER FACTORS, INCLUDING SOIL PH AND SOIL MICROBE LEVELS. ALSO, A ST. AUGUSINEGRASS THAT IS GREEN ALL THE TIME IS BEING OVER FERTILIZED AND WILL ULTIMATELY BE DESTROYED BY EXCESSIVE THATCH. WE APPLY THE RECOMMENDED RATES AND UNFORTUNATELY SOME LAWNS DO NOT RESPOND THE WAY SOME OF OUR CUSTOMERS WOULD LIKE THEM TO.

Dr. Jack's is great. They always provide prompt and courteous service. They have moved from house to house with us over the past thirty years. We tried switching, but always went back to Dr. Jack.
Description of Work: They sprayed for insects on lawn and ornamentals. They also fertilized both. The treatment included front, back, and lakeside.

They are very good. Dr Jacks has been performing quarterly pest control service for us for more than three years. In that time we have never needed to call them for any extra service. They continue to keep our home bug free.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON A MONTHLY BASIS. PAPERWORK IS LEFT TO EXPLAIN THE SERVICE PROVIDED AND WHAT WAS FOUND IN THE LAWN. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM BETWEEN SERVICE DATES, YOU ONLY HAVE TO CALL THEM AND THEY WILL COME OUT AND RE-TREAT AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.

THIS LAWN ORIGINALLY HAD COMMON BERMUDAGRASS AND IT WAS EXPLAINED ON OUR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE TO BE AN UNCONTROLLABLE WEED. WE HAVE NOT PERFORMED ANY EXTRA SERVICE CALLS TO THIS ACCOUNT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. BERMUDAGRASS MUST BE SPOT KILLED WITH A NON-SELECTIVE WEED KILLER LIKE ROUNDUP, AND THE AREA RESODDED IN ORDER TO REMOVE THIS WEED FROM A ST. AUGUSTINEGRASS LAWN. THIS TYPE OF WORK FALLS UNDER LANDSCAPING WORK, AND IS NOT COVERED BY OUR SERVICE. WEED CONTROL IS AN ONGOING EFFORT AND LAWNS WILL NEED ADDITIONAL ATTENTION AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE YEAR.
