The technician thoroughly checked my garage door, and told me that sunlight was causing one of the sensors to stop the door from closing. He gave me a trick to block the sunlight to close the door. There was no charge for the visit! It was great to have an honest technician visit my home without trying to overcharge me. I strongly recommend Discount Garage Doors!

Technician Robert arrived exactly on schedule and came prepared with all parts and tools needed on hand. He explained the various options, from simple spring replacement to comprehensive door refurbishment, some with extensive warranties. We chose a mid-level refurbishment, with new springs, bearings, cables, and door rollers. Job was done in pretty close to 2 hours, and the door is now nearly silent (motor whirs).

The quality of the service was great. They replaced everything, truck, motor and door. They did a great job.

Great. We called on a Sunday afternoon and got an appt for Monday 12-3. The service persona came on time, replaced several old rollers, made sure everything worked well. It is like new, working great.

This provider was prompt to answer the call, pleasant to speak with and scheduled the estimate/ project review promptly. Then, it went downhill. They called the day of the appointment to share the time may be late. They called again later to share the time would be later. Then, they no call no showed :/ I called them the next day to inquire about the no call no show, rescheduled another appointment; again very pleasant on the phone. The day of the appointment, they called to say they would be a little later, then called later to say it would be later, then called to say the technician would not make it to the appointment. Yes... two (2) different days, no technician to repair or to provide a quote for a new door. Please do yourself a favor and consider others on Angie's List. If they don't show up, their work cannot be that good.

Company was contacted at 1 PM on Friday and door was fixed by 9 AM Saturday. Very efficient and professional. No upsell pressure.

The operator service was very friendly and provided multiple service date opportunities. She even mentioned the 35.00 service fee would be waived because we were Angie’s List members. The technician Eric was fantastic. Showed up on time called 30 min prior as promised. Eric was very friendly, promptly reviewed the issue with the garage door opener. Estimated the cost almost to the nickel including tax. He was done in about 30 to 40 min. I would highly recommend this company and ask for Eric.

Technician deduced problem from my description and was able to complete the installation of the new springs on the same visit.

Excellent, Matt came and replaced old rollers with plastic rollers. Tune up and rollers replaced took about one hour. Very efficient and excellent service. He explained what he was doing and results were great. Door works fine and quieter.

Called the company, a person answered and took down my info and told me a tech would be contacting me. Well that was at about 9:45 pm, it’s 6:15 am the next morning and no call from a tech. If you state that you have 24 hour service, then you should have 24 hour service. All I wanted was to schedule something for this morning, I wasn’t expecting someone to come late at night.

not good, be aware of new installation big garage door mechanism not required! I think they may have a quota to meet, selling new openers. I told him I'll think about it. I called the previous resident of the house, he said unlock from the wall switch and pull the cord on the rail. it worked and still working after 4 months.
