Called at 11am after my A/C unit was blowing warm air. The person on the phone walked me through resetting my unit before sending out a tech. After that didn't work, she let me know that the next available tech would be calling me when available. Less than 20 minutes later I received a call, the tech arrived shortly after, quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced my broken part, and had my unit running again. Quick, professional, and affordably priced.

The technician was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He suggested some things I could do on my own to extend the life of the system. Rather than try to run up a bill, he volunteered that my unit was still new enough (we rented a new townhouse 3 years before buying it from the landlord) that I probably would not have to worry much about annual maintenance for the next few years. So I'm sticking with this family-owned company as my AC system ages.

I had a system that was 15+ years old that was in desperate need of replacement. I had been putting a band-aid over it for years, adding Freon, while I saved for a new unit. I contacted seven A/C contractors. One never called back. One tried to quote me $10K for a new unit (I live in an 1100 sq ft condo and have a 2.0 ton A/C and this wasn?t a quote for a Trane or some other high-end model). Two didn?t even look at the unit, just quoted me a price. The other three (including Cool-Rite) were competitive, but it was Joe who took the time to address my concerns (it is always hotter upstairs than downstairs), walked me through the permitting process, walked me through different models, and examined both the inside unit and the outside unit as well as the electrical box. It was because of Joe?s recommendation that I went with a variable speed unit and I couldn?t be happier. The unit works great and my place is nice and cool. Installation took one day with Joe and a team of two others. And just as a side note, Joe got word that my mother had passed away and his company sent me a sympathy card signed by him and all his employees. This is a company that cares. I would definitely recommend Joe Rudd and Cool-Rite for all your heating and a/c needs.

They are very friendly and responsive. They have been here a couple of times when I've had other questions and it was with no charge. They are down-to-earth people and I like them.

We have used Cool Rite Before so we contacted them along with several other companies for a quote. One company took two days to call us back, another didn't call back at all. Cool Rite was very competitive in price with a better model than the other companies were quoting and even provided an upgraded air handler at no additional charge when the quoted air handler wasn't available to complete the job. Cool Rite arranged financing for us through the Trane Company and we received a discount on the job and financing because of the Trane program. The whole project took 3 days from start to finish, which at the time with 100 degree temperatures seemed like forever, but Cool Rite preformed the job quickly including sending a truck to Lakeland to pick up the system so the job could be completed as quickly as possible.

We have been using them for about three years. They do a nice job. I would recommend them to others.

I called them and within a few hours they had JR to my home. He was very professional and quickly (about 20 minutes) fix the problem. He also took the time to answer my questions even though it was a Sunday and he had other calls to get to.
