Cool Energy Plumbing Today

We have been using their services for about three years now. The service people who have come out have been efficient, on time, neat, friendly, and seem to know their job. We are happy with their service.

They arrive on time. Every time they come they seem to find some thing more than service that needs repair.

I am not too thrilled with them. I have an annual maintenance contract with them.

They were okay but I would look for somebody else next time, honestly. He was not rude, he was friendly and he did another work for us and it was okay too. When I told him that my bathroom is still leaking, he told me that there is nothing else that he could do unless he rips the whole thing out. Now, when you turn the water on, you really have to put something at one point or the water is dripping all the time. He did everything good and he cleaned up after himself so that was okay.

Cool Today have been competitive and responsive. I must admit I had a complaint with what they charged me for a service while they were on the service call and I didn't really get much of a resolution on it, I don't know what is right or wrong, I talked to the salesman and he confirmed that is what they charge, but that charge doesn't seem fair to me. They are a good company, they do a good job. The work that their workers did has been very good.

The service representative arrived at the scheduled time and was very professional. The work was done on May 5, and the system has been performing as advertised for the two-week period since then. I will no dought continue to use "Cool Today" to maintain the AC system in the future.

Absolutely fantastic! Dennis was outstanding, he was fast and efficient, respectful, helpful, and he cleaned after up after himself. I really enjoyed Dennis' kind heart and great workman ship! I would recommend this company to any member of Angie's List, I was very impressed with him!

We found N&M on Angie's list after using less reputable companies in the past. From the moment I contacted the company to the quick response and service completed I was very happy with this company! David our tech was awesome, very knowledgable & friendly! He did a very thorough job of checking our AC unit cleaned it and serviced it as needed! His recommendations seemed very reasonable! Especially since the last company who came out said we need a new unit because one coil wasn't reaching the correct temperature! David agreed with me that isn't true! And we both agreed companies like that give the business a bad reputation! We have several options as to what to do for now and will certainly use N&M from now on! From the first person I contacted to the last person who contacted me today I've been very impressed with their awesome customer service and friendliness! Thanks to Angie's list I'm a happy customer and not sure why I haven't used Angie's list sooner then this year!!

It was an excellent experience. My AC stopped working on Friday morning, an hour later or so, they sent the salesman out to give an estimate on a new unit. Later that afternoon they sent a technician out to take a look, he fixed our AC enough to make sure we had air for the weekend while waiting on the new unit to arrive; without even charging us for the service call. He came back Monday morning to install the new unit! Great customer service!

The work was completed on time and carefully. Edwin, the tech explained the work and pointed out areas of potential issues for the future. April in customer service was very accommodating.

As we were in he process of buying our condominium we hired a professional home inspector to find the problems. He found very little wrong but did find some mold in the plenum of the heating/air conditioning unit. The inspector suggested we contact CoolToday to remove the mold as they were a certified mold removal company. CoolToday sent a certified technician to clean our heat/air conditioning unit and duct runs. A filtered vacuum system was attached to our duct plenum. With all registers removed a high pressure air head with air jetting in 360degrees was passed through our ducts, blasting all dirt loose to be vacuumed into a filtered vacuum machine. All ducts were sealed at their wall exit and the registers re-installed. The HVAC blower unit was disassembled, taken outdoor to be cleaned by blasting it with high pressure compressed air jets, then was re-assembled and re-installed. We also had a Honeywell programmable thermostat and Honeywell humidistat installed. A simple but special thing CoolToday employees do impressed my wife and I. Every time a technician from CoolToday enters our home they slip a fabric booty over their work shoes! We are pleased with the work and highly recommend CoolToday

After being ripped off by the company that advertises in the coupon booklet whose initials are AA, it was a pleasure to have Cool Air inspect my mobile home. They were fair and reasonable and I purchased a service contract. I have had three service calls that were all done on time and most professionally. I highly recommend their services.

First, on Jan. 27th I called Cool Today around 9:30 AM and they sent out a repairman, Edwin, who arrived around noon and took a look at our system. He discovered that there were several problems, including that the emergency heat unit was not functioning and that the compressor's electronics lacked a diagnostic function to determine what might be causing the system to keep shutting off. He mentioned that some of the electronics on these 2-stage motor compressors had a tendency to fail. Since there wasn't anything that he could do to improve the immediate situation, he reported back to his office and they called us to set up an appointment with Rick, who would come out several days later to assess our system and make some recommendations. Rick came out as scheduled on Jan. 31st. He looked at everything - all of the equipment, where the vents and air intakes were, where the thermostat was located, the ductwork in the attic, the configuration of equipment and ductwork. He said we did not need a second AC unit on the other side of the house - the reason that it didn't get the cool or warm air was that the ducts were too small. He also mentioned the whistling noise he noticed coming from the vent in a bedroom closest to the AC unit that could be fixed by adding a damper in the duct there, as well an another at the adjacent guest bathroom. Rick said the thermostat was located too close to a vent and it shut off too soon as a result, accounting for it not cooling off or heating up enough. Additionally, the air intake was on the ground next to our pantry and was pulling in air from our garage - he suggested relocating the air intake up high on a wall in an open area in a hallway to get better efficiency. Finally, he mentioned that because of the way the ducts coming from the air handler were configured, the system was not working as well as it should. Rick gave a written estimate for two units he felt would work well for us. We thought about which system was right for us and the next day called Cool Today and told them which option we wanted and scheduled the installation for the following week. On Feb. 4th, Cool Today sent two installers who removed the old system and ductwork and replaced them with the new equipment. Then they installed a new air intake high up in the wall in the hallway and moved the thermostat to the hallway wall. Finally, they tested the cooling and then the heating. Installation took most of the day. When the installers left, everything was working well. Unfortunately, a few evenings later on Feb. 6th when we tried to switch from cool to heat, although the thermostat showed the heat as being on, it didn't turn on. Neither did the emergency heat, and the humidistat didn't seem to be working. The corresponding fuse in the electric box kept tripping to Off. We called Cool Today in the morning on Feb. 7th and they sent a repairman out, Josh, who checked the low voltage connections on the system and discovered a short in the electrical box where a wire had a bare spot. He was able to fix the wire and made sure the wire was repositioned so nothing would rub against it. The rest of the system was in good working order. The system has worked very well since then. As a matter of fact, for the first time since we've lived in our house we are comfortable in our master bedroom and bathroom and we found that it works so well we even had to turn down the heat a degree or two. It's nice to be able to take a shower on a cold morning without needing to use the space heater. Finally, about a week later, another Cool Today tech came out to make sure everything was working okay. He went all around the house adjusting the vents and he made sure there was no rattling or noise coming from them and the air intake. All in all, the entire experience from start to finish went pretty smoothly with the only glitch being the problem with the electricla short, which was found and quickly fixed. I would highly recommend Cool Today to anyone who needs their AC system either repaired or evaluated for improvement or replacement. All of the techs were professional and very good at what they do. Their rapid response is also a big plus.

Knew exactly what was wrong with A/C unit. Repaired quickly. Part seemed expensive but vital to system. Very small.

Even the owner of the company promised he would see that she go it but she never did. Will never use them again, refer them to anyone, and if I find that someone is getting ready to use them, will discourage them. There are so many other companies out there that do a lot better and charge half the price.

It went really well. They were great.

Have used these folks twice and been happy with the service, arrival on time and the cost. They are true professionals.

Sorry, I just cannot give Cool Today/Plumbing Today a good review. The first plumber came to do a multi-point check of the plumbing system and broke a toilet cistern. The next installed a new tankless water heater and filter but took so long to complete the work and did a less-than-satisfactory job. Several of our neighbors use this company, but we won't be using them again. One plus for the company, however, is that the owner is extremely responsive to issues such as these. I just don't have the confidence to use them again for future work.

Very professional and left the property clean. Two man team was very diligent and I have nothing but good things to say. They are sending out an inspector which they do on every install, to make sure my units are done right. This company has been a pleasure to work with.

Toilet drain was intermittant. Pretty much the same after repair. .Tool plummer used scaped the white porcelin coating and left a dark area on the bottom of the bowl. Was supposed to get a camera inspection of the drain which never happened. When the plumber returned to verify the damage and continued drainage problem, he scheduled a camera inspection which again never happened. He proposede that he would paint the damaged area which would still show and I felt was not acceptable since the damage was to porceilin I called the company and asked to speak to a manager about the problem and prepared to propose a discount for anew toilet as a solution. I was told the manager was not aailable but would get back to me on this issue . The call back never happened. I guess my solution is to bit thebullet , go t5o Lowe's or Home Depot and hae a new toilet installed.

Was so happy with this company, I purchased a one year service contract for my aging central air conditioning, something I have never done previously. The technician was scheduled to arrived between 2 and 4 pm today, a Saturday. I received a call from the technician asking if he could arrive early. Of course, I said yes. Darby, the technician, fixed the problem quickly, and stayed to make sure everything was working properly. Darby knows what he's doing, was thorough, pleasant and polite. He mentioned the maintenance contract, but was not at all pushy about it. For the price, it was definitely worth it, so I broke with "tradition" and purchased a one year maintenance contract. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants prompt, honest, knowledgeable service. Definitely an A+ for Cool Today and Darby.

I would rate him an A straight through. After he fixed the drain they came back and a guy with a camera came and run it through my lines to make sure there was not anything that was clogging it or any roots because I have an older house. It looked great and they told me they normally charge $303 for that but they did that for them to guarantee the work. I don't know anyone else that does that especially for this price.

Install crew of 3 showed up right on time and got the whole install and removal job done by around 6pm. The people were very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. We were very pleased and they left the job site spotless.
