Cool Energy Plumbing Today

Repair was handled very well, however the cost was astronomical. I could buy the disposal at any local hardware store for less than $100. The repair took one hour and fifteen minutes. Tech's comment that "all plumbers in Florida charge the same for basic procedures" was not true. This firm responds very quickly and did good work, however their prices are outrageous.

I've had them for tuneups and stuff. They're going to come back probably in the next week or two for just a regular tuneup.

They do a lot of different utilities and services. They are wonderful.

I have been using them probably for the last 7 years. I had some issues with them over the years. There was one situation that was bad so I contacted Angie's List, but then I decided to resolve it myself which I did.

A year ago, in the first part of October, we had a new air conditioner installed. They did real good work. They installed it and it has worked wonderful. We had a service call in March and then we had another one at the year mark. They did excellent work for us. They've been excellent, I would recommend them to anybody. They do more than air conditioning too. We have free filters for life. We have two division cooling, three speed heat. They checked everything. I think they did a great work.

Rich W. not only did the maintenance and repair items, but provided me with a lot of helpful information on the AC system. He was very professional, prompt, and provided great service on time.

Very well, everything was taken care of carefully and thoroughly. We bought the unit through them 2 years ago and were very pleased with the quality and experience.

I think their pricing and subscription structure is a complete scam. I originally bought their subscription service and I had it for a year. I had bought it in 2014 that carried over into 2015. They're very responsive. I would welcome anyone of their tech with open arms. They're a delight, absolutely without doubt. They're knowledgeable. Every good thing I could possible say about them but they charge you an annual subscription, you pay that. I just don't think it's a good value for what you're getting. If I were to go off and hire any other air conditioning company, it wouldn't cost me that to maintain my system for what they charge me. For as good as their techs are at being knowledgeable at their business, they are also really sleek sales people.

They do twice a year maintenance. We had both of our systems replaced in the last five years. The first one was four years ago and the second one was two years ago. They did a very professional job. I had to have them come back and re-do one air handler because the box wasn't filled correctly. They came out promptly at no charge. They sent the best crew out and made sure that everything got done correctly. I think they are very responsive. I would give them A's across the board both for installation of the system and for the every six months maintenance that they do. I have recommended them numerous times to neighbors.

They were fine. I had number of people come out to sell me a new air conditioner but they were the only ones who went in to the attic to check the vents.

It went really well. Technician was there early, waited for me to get home, as he was there early. Installed it, Tested it, explained to me all their service options and left. Couldn't have gone better.

Miles was our electrician. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. The techs from Cool are always professional and they treat us as though we are their only customer while they are in our home. Miles did a complete diagnostic analysis and in doing so discovered the root cause for our problem and had us on the right path in short order. We have become accustomed to having the Cool guys suggest ways to save money, improve comfort and safety. Miles was no exception and he represents his company in a very professional manner. Kudos as well to the dispatcher who answered our call promptly and set the wheels in motion. I should add this was a Saturday service call. It really does pay to be a Plan A customer.

Noel, the service technician, called me about 30 minutes before his anticipated arrival. He looked very professional and told me what needed to be done. After showing him the thermostat control, the ventilation unit, and where the compressor and water were located, I went back to my own work on the computer. Noel did all the readings, tuning and servicing of the unit in about 1 1/2 hours. He also changed out my old filter with a new one I left out. Since the trash had already been picked up, he put my old filter in his truck for disposal. I have had my AC serviced by Cool Today for 2 years now and could not be more pleased with the results. It's a pleasure having them for my AC needs.

This company is really good. All the services they provide are excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The tech checked all the systems. He discovered a wire & capacitor in the exterior disconnect wall box next to the A/C compressor had burned up & scorched the inside of the box. He replaced the box, wire & capacitor. The only item for which there was a charge was the new disconnect box as the capacitor was covered under warranty. He checked the rest of the A/C system, which was in good working order, flushed the lines, changed the air filter, etc. The tech checked the water heater & our toilets & made a few adjustments inside the toilet tanks so water wasn't running. He checked our electrical circuit breaker box & GFCI outlets. He also checked what I thought might be a wiring problem, but turned out to be a defective bathroom light fixture & recommended its replacement. New smoke detectors were also recommended.

I have had a maintenance plan through Cool Today where they come to service my house twice a year and so when I had a thermostat tripping to a "Wait" mode on Thursday March 24th and not cooling the house, I gave them a call. A service tech came out the next day (Friday, march 25th) and when I returned from work, the tech greeted me with a sad face and that there was bad news. The tech said he detected one leak and then 2 leaks from my evaporator coils. He went on to say that since he found 2 leaks, he did not bother to look for anymore because it told the story. He also said the system was original to the house (1995). The tech also informed me there was no gas left in the system, that the system was rotted out, and that I would "be in for a warm weekend" until I was to get a new AC system. I asked if he could top me off and the tech said that would be very dangerous and could cause a fire. Also, it would cost about $1,000 to do so because there was ?nothing left? in the system and the ?new types? gasses are extremely expensive. I asked the tech to get the ball rolling on system replacement. The tech called the Cool Today office to arrange a Sales person appointment. Rick, the Sales Associate, called me to arrange an appointment the next morning at 10:00am. Rick did not arrive until 10:45am and he looked at the system. Rick confirmed that the system was no good and needed replacement. He also said the compressor was from 1995 and it was beyond time to replace. I asked him to put together some proposals and Rick did 2 of them for me. One system proposal was for $6,080 and another for $6,100. There is a push for the Carrier brand, which through research shows them as a mediocre system at best ? clearly there is a financially beneficial situation with Cool Today and Carrier. I then asked Rick if these were his best proposals. Rick responded in the affirmative and said he could install first thing Monday morning. I said ?great?, but there was another company coming in the afternoon to take a look. After which, I would let him know. Roughly 3 hours later, Rick left me a message that he could take off $500 of the Carrier bid (the $6,100 one) and could install Monday morning. A better proposal I suppose. The night before, I contacted another AC contractor of whom I was recommended by the Longboat Key Club. The company arrived in the afternoon and was baffled as to what Cool Today was saying about leaks, lack of gas and age of the system. They isolated a fault low voltage circuit in the handler and voila-the system works perfectly. System was full of gas, had no leaks and was from 2006 (not 1995 as I confirmed with a housing inspection done in August of 2014). I regard my business dealings with Cool Today as borderline criminal. To lie to me about the leaks, lack of gas and age of the system, is unconscionable. Furthermore, to charge me exorbitant rates for their services is shameful. I wonder how many people have been deceived by this practice and victimized by Cool Today.

My husband dealt with the price but I know they were a little on the high side. What they've done in the last couple of years is that they put in 2 new units for us that needed replacing and they've put in thermostats for us. This last time it was the problem with the thermostat and the wiring and a bunch of other crazy stuff. It was a repair of some kind, it got a little complicated. T o me professionalism means, courteous when they enter your home, showing up on time, not trumping around your house and making a lot of noise while they work, speaking to you and having their act together when they come in to do the work at your home, able to discuss with you what they are doing and what's going on.

it included all of the following: A/C included: inspect air handler, inspect filter, inspect compressor, check refrigerant, install surge protector on power at air conditioner compressor Electrical included: inspect all breakers, tighten all connections in breaker box Water heater included: drain sediment from tank, inspect valves for operation, look for corrosion Plumbing included: rebuild 3 toilet tank mechanisms which included replacement of tank flapper valve cover; inspect all sink and toilet shut-offs for proper operation, tightened shut off caps to assure no leaks; replace one bathroom sink faucet assembly, replace one kitchen sink faucet assembly with sprayer. Both faucets were all brass mechanisms, not plastic. They guarantee the faucets for life. Arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule; wore booties to avoid soiling the carpets; completed all work in approximately 3.5 hours. Price included all parts used. Professional, fully licensed and competent. Have necessary insurance coverages This organization installed my A/C and hot water tank. They warrant the parts and service. I have an annual service agreement. While I consider them on the high side of price, you get what you pay for. I use the same organization for a condominium rental owned by my son.

They were unwilling to come out and look at the unit any sooner then (2) days because we didn't have a service contract. (seriously). Since moving here 3 years ago we've always used Cool Today. Now they have become terrible at all aspects of their core services. Our air conditioner was replaced by another company the day after we called. It appears that the last time they were at our home they didn't lock the door to the exterior unit and subsequently a squirrel got inside the unit and fried all the electrical connections. They will never see me again.

When one of the two parts of my two-zone system stopped working, the Cool Today representative convinced me that the second zone also was reaching the end of its normal life-span and that I'd be well-advised to install a completely new three-zone system. I agreed, notwithstanding the cost. The work was done promptly and efficiently, and the Cool Today people were professional and cordial. On two subsequent occasions, the system stopped working, but Cool Today sent a technician out promptly who worked diligently to resolve the problem. The company also arranged interest-free financing for one year. I'd use them again (though my budget and I hope that won't be necessary any time soon!).

Company provides HVAC, plumbing and electrical services. I have a full service contract which provides semi-annual HVAC inspection and annual plumbing and electrical inspection. Company offers a 4-hour response time for urgent issues. Technicians are always call when they are on their way; they are prompt, courteous, professional and neat. Clean up is always thorough. Recommendations made at the time of periodic inspections are usually reasonable and necessary. Costs can run a bit higher than some other companies; however, I have found this company very reliable and I receive a discount on parts and free labor with my service plan. Overall, I am very happy with the service I have received over the past 5 years.

Techs that came both times were professional, and arrived on schedule. Maintenance service cost $1000 ish, performed clean up of one unit ( needed), added a kick starter to another ( not sure if needed) installed UV light in one and did standard MA stuff. 2 days later, I had no heat in one unit. Different technician came out, said wired " fried" and fan would not work. Question - HOW could that not have been seen in MA 2 days before???????? To fix, a new part had to be ordered( on Thursday). I called Friday ( no part yet) , I called Monday twice and finally was told part was in, but she could not reach technician. I asked to have a manager call me both times that I called. Finally at 2pm ( now 5th day with no heat), dispatcher called and said tech would be there late pm to fix. He did arrive on time, and fixed the issue for another $200. ( he was able to get warranty coverage for some parts which I appreciated) My issue is....why wasn't this issue found when the unit was inspected ? If my memory is correct ,this happened a few years ago with same company - I needed a repair immediately after MA was done. Having to call multiple times to see if part was in was also a concern.... BUT most concerning...I have today still not received a call from a manager, after asking the dispatcher twice and the on site tech. I question this company's customer satisfaction commitment.
