Excellent!

Very well. I love the cabinets! They allow a lot of space and look beautiful. The technician was very nice, cleaned up the area and did a great job installing. He was on time and at the start went over the order to make sure he had the information correct and exactly where we wanted the cabinets and shelving. My husband and I are very happy with the company's customer service and the cabinets. The cost was very reasonable too!

I contracted with Closets By Design in install a custom closet totaling 3500.00. The designer and myself went though and both signed my drawings and measurements of what the and quot; finished closet would beand quot;. I told the designer i was ordering a piece of custom granite for the top on the closet island. Est. 60 days later the installer comes and installs the closet. The next day, my granite island top is being installed and once installed the granite is way too small. My husband and i measured the island and the granite to see why this is happening and we find that the island is 2 inches all the way around bigger than what my 3d signed drawings from Closets by Design show. At this point i have paid for both the closet and the granite. I called Closets by Design and spoke with the and quot; managerand quot; whom i have been going back and fourth with for 2 weeks. He tells me and quot; those measurements that are on the drawing and contract you signed for our just estimatesand quot;. My answer is, No way, There is no where in the contract or on the drawing with measurements that I signed and the company signed, does it state that this is an and quot; estimated measurement? I was told that my closet was custom built to my order and drawings. His response was, Well we are working on adding a clause into out contract that states that, I said okay, again, where does it state that these are just estimates on my drawing? why did you even bother giving me all these drawings and measurements if this is just an estimate? Why didn't they tell me that when i told the sales rep and quot; designerand quot; i was ordering a special granite island top? On my signed contact and drawings, the designer actually wrote on there that i was ordering the granite top, why didn't he tell me that it is just estimated measurements? His response, well the designer does not know these things? I am thinking.. really?? This is supposed to be custom?? Closets by Design is not standing by what the contract was, I am stuck with a closet with an over sized island ( that is way bigger than my meaningless drawing shows with measurements)and with a piece of granite on it that does not fit at all and out of pocket over 4500.00. Closets by Design has done nothing to fix this, Oh, wait, the manager did call and ask if i wanted to split the cost of a new island that is the original measurement of the drawings 48x24. So, let me get this right, I paid to have a 48x24 island installed, I get a island that is 50.5 x 26.5 and now i have to pay half for a new island that will be a 48x24? where is the logic in that? I would never use this company for anything again. Oh. PS. The owner call me 2.5 weeks later after i file a complaint with the BBB with no care of compassion oncesoever. I will never use this company again, i ask that people do your homework on this company. Please the truth speaks for its self. I will be more than willing to send over pictures of what i was left with to whom ever wants them.

Christina, the sales rep, is prompt and very responsive, and very professional. She arranged for us to have our master bedroom closet organizer installed and now arranged for the pantry and another bedroom closet organizer. The installers are very professional, very quick and very thorough in cleaning up afterwards. We are pleased with our new closets.

I was very disappointed with CBD across a number of fronts. While everyone has been friendly, I really feel that I was misled regarding the quality of these shelves. This is frustrating because I paid a significant premium for these shelves. The Sales person Laurie was again very pleasant, but she completely trashed the quality of IKEA shelving and highlighted the 'Lifetime warranty' from CBD. In fact, everyone in the company as I escalated my quality issues with what was delivered mentioned that their quality was better than IKEA. Additionally, they mentioned that the thickness of the shelves they make is greater than that I IKEA. Well, I had the manufacturing manager (John) come to my house to review the quality and showed him some IKEA shelves that have a 25 year warranty and are just as thick as the CBD shelves. Let's see if they change their tune! (I doubt it). Specific Comments:- The shelves do not have recesses for the pegs that prevent slipping. So, the shelves could actually slip right out of the cabinet (and did!) - Because of the slippage and because CBD did not recommend a back panel for my particular installation my corner shelves fit horribly into place and slipped constantly when we put items on the shelf and they also slipped off the pegs entirely - The shelf edges were uneven and not straight. Very shabbily cut edges and not very professional - Yellow glue on the laminate - laminate with small holes This product is definitely NOT WORTH $1,833. I would suggest that you consider some other provider other than Closets By Design if you want good craftsmanship.

Janet Lemmen took the time to see what we had in our closets to understand how to meet our needs. She offered us different levels of materials to consider for our needs/budget. Although it seems a bit pricey, we did not feel comfortable trying to figure out how to use the space or install a system ourselves. It took only 1 installer who completed the job in 1 day. We were very happy with the results and there were no hitches along the way. We plan to expand our master bathroom/closet into an extra bedroom and I would consider hiring them again to help me plan and possibly re-use our existing closet system and add to it to fit our expanded space.

We hired Closets by Design to install a closet organizer in our bedroom that we use as an office. This included shelving, drawers, a built in lateral file cabinet and some hanging area. We also had them work with us to design, build and install an entertainment center that would accommodate our TV, speakers and components. The work was done right and on time. The installers did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. We are very pleased with the quality!

They arrived on time and they were very easy to work with. The price that they gave me was very reasonable and I would highly recommend them in the future.
