AAA Concrete, Asphalt and Sod

This company was hired by my husband to install a 400sqft patio made of pavers. Start date, groundbreaking and initial preparation began eagerly, by the owner, on 12/23/2017, which was within two days after received the quote. Per the contract language this project was to be performed "in a timely manner". We were told it would be completed in one week. The owner of the company has consistently not returned phone calls, texted instead of returning calls at times, said he would be there a particular day and not shown and given a plethora of excuses as to why he did not show up. I was also in contact with the company(middle man) that he utilized to order the pavers. He placed the order for our project but never paid, yet, we paid him $1200 for the pavers back in December. That company has since gone out of business, which I informed Mr. Sherman prior to their closure in the end of January. He claimed to not have any knowledge of the business closing as he was not returning their phone calls either. Per my lengthy conversation with him Friday March 9, 2018, he was to come Tuesday or call and inform us as to whether he would be delayed again because of another project he is currently provided services for. He did not show up, call, text nor has he returned our calls. We have paid $2000 of $2600 total. The area was cleared and marked in December. A base of some sort was laid down in January. And no work has been performed since. Timely manner has now been three months for a job he verbally stated would take a week.
