The salesman came out, delightful man. He said that the servicemen would put baffles (?) around edges, then blow in insulation. Servicemen came, blew in insulation. They were very nice, but knew nothing about baffles. I said that I preferred not to pay them until I talked to the salesman as they didn't do the baffles and didn't even know about it. I felt that if they hadn't been paid the problem would be resolved sooner. They said they would have him call me. He never called. I called the company. He still never called. I had company from overseas for a couple of months so I forgot about it. Then the corporate office called. Again, very nice. I explained the situation. I told them that I wanted very much to pay and that if they could resolve the situation for me I would pay immediately. They said they would have the salesman call me. He did after several weeks and a call from me as well. I explained to him. He eventually came out, climbed into my attic and said that I was correct, no baffles and that he would talk to the service department and have them remedy the situation immediately. No call from them. Eventually, several weeks later, corporate office calls again. Same conversation, I want to pay, but nobody will do anything or call or come out, etc. He said that the salesman was no longer with them and that he would take care of it and that someone would be giving me a call. This is now seven months later and still no call. I really, really want to pay them. Do they not want my money? This has to be a VERY quick fix. I liked the salesman. I liked the servicemen. I liked the company. I was happy on most fronts. I only want to job finished and to pay.

The end result was ok. Getting the thickness to the level that they set was difficult. It took them three or maybe four trips to get the thickness stated in their estimate, and fill in the air pockets. All-in-all, we are mostly satisfied with the insulation but feel we paid to much for the work. It seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. To their credit, they didn't stop till we were satisfied, or maybe tired of asking them to come back. And they were professional, polite, and eager to fix it.

I was very pleased with every aspect of this experience. I called the company for an estimate early in the week which I received within a day. I notified them to proceed as soon as practical and they called within hours to schedule the work to be done on Friday morning of that same week. The two man crew arrived mid morning, showed and explained what and how they would proceed, and completed the job in less than a half hour. Though they made very little mess (stray insulation) while doing the job, they swept up what there was prior to leaving. The job appears very well done with no noticeable 'thin' or excessively 'thick' areas of insulation.
Description of Work: I purchased a new house last year that had no insulation in the garage attic. I contracted First Choice to install blown fiberglass to an R30 value.

The job went very smoothly. The guys that did the work were excellent. The work was finished earlier then expected. Afterwards there was immediate noticeable improvement the temperature within house being more even and i expect energy saved to be significant. In fact before the insulation was added, there used to be places within house that when it was very hot out if you put your hand up to the ceiling could feel lot of heat coming down through the ceiling. The insulation added fixed that. Also received the JEA $250 discount which brought the price I paid to just $488 that was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend this company. For later this year, I am thinking about having insulation to my house's crawlspace and this is definitely the company I will be calling for that.
Description of Work: First Choice Supply added blown in fiberglass insulation to my attic. Beforehand there was only very little insulation which was also very old that couldn't have been more then r10 (but probably less) In addition, they also added r38 bat insulation over the access doors to the attic. The result was the attic insulation was brought it up to R38.

They work really had that day. We cannot yet compare on the electrical usage from last year and this year. We are feeling that we're using less power this year. Not only they were professional they gave me an up to date on everything they were doing. August Pehlke was the person we dealt with from a homeshow.

Found company in Money magazine with $120 coupon. Had Kyle come out and give me an estimate (also had two other companies give est.). They were not the cheapest, but we felt that they were the most thorough. They called for a reminder time day before, came 30 minutes early. The insulation guys were very friendly and even talked to dogs and baby:) Only complaint is thatI wish they would have put a tarp down before dragging the dirty insulation blower hose all over the front rug. I paid with a CC at the end of the two hours (we have a large attic) and they emailed me a receipt. Very pleased with customer service and job completion.
