This company came out 8 times in the span of 6 mos, each time finding a different issue to charge for without ever actually finding a solution. We hired a different company who came out in an hour on the weekend after calling and promptly had the problem fixed on the first visit. Do not recommend.

Horrible. My initial call to American Home Shield was 6//17 and I am still without AC on 7/24/17. Technician #1 arrived at my home on 6/7/17. He was able to tell me that there was no coolant in the system because there was leak in the condenser. Most likely this could not be repaired, but he would have to call in the diagnosis before telling me more. He did also go up into the attic to get some part numbers from the air handling system. I ask about the compatibility of a new condenser with my old air handler and I am told that it will not be a problem. A week goes by and I have still heard nothing, so I call AHS for an update. After 2 hours on the phone. The technician has not even submitted his work order. It is another 2 days before I am finally called to schedule the condenser's installation. I ask again, is there a compatibility issue and I am told it will not be an issue. Technician #2 arrives on 6/29/17 to install the new condenser. I ask him again about the compatibility once more and he says it is not an issue. He does not even go upstairs to look at the air handler. I come home from a week long military training trip to find my house 80 degrees. No cold air coming from the AC. So I call AHS to have Total Air come back out to check the AC. Technician #3 comes out on 7/17/17. He tells me that the coolant is not getting to the evaporator coil due to a kink in the line outside at the condenser. Even if the coolant could get in, the evaporator coil is not compatible with the new coolant used so it would have been working anyway. He tells me that he has to call it in, and someone will get back to me. After more than 10 hours on the phone I am told that the owner personally requested that my case be expedited and he sent a technician #4 to my home on 7/22 to install the part needed and repair the kink. Technician #4 realizes quickly that the part he was sent with is wrong, in fact, it is for a different type of system altogether. He has to call in the work order and someone will get back to me. Unbelievable!
