There wasn't anything that we liked or disliked about Smd Builders. We just felt more comfortable with the other company. They really didn't do anything to impress me and that's the reason why we probably went with the other company.

His price is lower than the other company. He was also responsive and came back very quickly within twelve hours of the other company. When I had questions about one thing or another, he revised things. He has also come up here. He was a very nice guy.

I had a roof leak that became much worse after a tree limb fell on my home. The original leak had been there for some time and with all the rain we have been experiencing this summer I was in the process of getting estimates to have it repaired when a tree limb fell on the roof. SMD Builders was the last contractor to come out and give me an estimate on the leak and it just happened to be the day after the tree limb hit the roof. It was raining that day so the ceiling and laminate flooring in that area of the home was getting ruined. I was very overwhelmed and stressed out over what to do. I was impressed with how knowledgeable Mr. Davis was and he assured me that it wasnt too bad of a situation and that calmed me down. His guys cut the limb off my roof, then installed a tarp to keep the rain out. After jumping through hoops with the insurance company SMD Builders replaced my entire roof, repaired the ceiling, and even replaced some water damaged wood flooring. It all looks great. I feel like I had the right contractor there at just the right time.

SMD Builders Inc was one of several companies that my husband and I contacted to come to our home and give us an estimate on remodeling our kitchen. We wanted a complete kitchen makeover. In order to work around our schedule Mr. Davis made time on a weekend to stop by and meet with us. Mr. davis provided us with a sketch of a new kitchen that we just loved, he even added some great ideas and details that we had not thought of. SMD Builders came out and completely gutted our kitchen and even relocated plumbing to incorporate the new changes. The next day they showed up with the new cabinets, had them installed and tiled the floor. They were thoughtful enough to re use our old counters as temporary countertops while we waited on the granite to be fabricated. The following day the granite arrived and was installed. Our new kitchen was complete. My husband and I were impressed with how efficient the process was. Overall it was a hassle free experience. We will not hesitate to call SMD Builders for our next home improvement project.

From my experience, Chad has all the qualities you would want from someone working on/repairing your house. He is dependable, reliable, knowledgeable and from our brief interactions, seems extremely trustworthy. He has been great to work with: calls right back when he says, quickly gave me the quote I asked for... quickly revised the quote when I told him that I wouldn't mind paying more for stainless steel, and takes his work (and my house) seriously. Shawn did a great job and was also extremely pleasant to work with and seemed very trustworthy. We have some water damage/stucco issues, hardy board problems and a few other things that need repair around the house, and because of my good experience with the chimney, I will be using Chad/SMD for the rest of the repairs, as well.

We contacted SMD Builders who meet with us and provided several different options of what we could do with the home given the current market which was really helpful. The work started and finished on time. We have heard horror stories from other people dealing with contractors, but we are pleased to say that SMD Builders was very easy to work with.

The overall experience was easy from start to finish. SMD Builders handled everything and made it a point not to disrupt our every day activities as we were still occupying the home while the work was going on. We couldnt be happier.
