I had a very good overall experience with them. After the work was complete, we felt the pricing could have been better.

Great On time, finished on time. Left no mess. Polite. Didn't waste time

They were on time and did what we asked for, they did in with in the estimate they gave us. They did a fine job.

It was all very good. Everything was an A. He did a very good job.

The reason I hire a handyman service, is that they are handy and flexible for small miscellaneous jobs. I'm not going to replace a whole ceiling fan for a couple hundred dollars (plus the outrageous hourly labor rate), for a $5 switch that should take 15 min to swap out. There has to be some level of repair capability, not just replace everything because we have no skills to do anything else. I didn't even get to tell them about the toilet that was a little loose and rocking in the bathroom. Instead of tightening down the bolts and re-caulking it for me, I wonder if I would have been told I needed a new toilet...

Mr. handyman sent out Jeff, to perform requested work. Showed up on time at 8 AM. We walked The house and survey requested work. Started on the floor approximately quarter after 8 AM I went to get hardware for bathroom and closet doors returned approximately 930 was still trying to perform repairs on floor but it made no headway. We then discussed different things at options that could possibly be done with the floor which Jeff declined to do. I've been told it to discontinue the work he was performing on the floor which was nothing. I've been advised him to continue with the closet doors in adjustments and install which I brought back two new Doors with hardware and tracks to install. We then discussed the needs for hardware for the other doors and I return to Lowe's to pick up those items. I returned approximately 1050 Jeff had completed the install of the two doors in the bedroom and master bath I brought the hardware for the other doors to complete the install and repair. I proximately 1145 Jeff and pleaded the work and was performing cleanup. So I checked the word found that one of the doors have been corrected and advised him of that he stated he had forgot that door. Event went back to get his tools to do the work. 1220 Jeff and completed the work taken his tools back out to his vehicle no cleanup at the job site or area big it worked it been done I did at that time take out the refuge swept floor from where he had attempted to put the flooring in. Event came back and presented me with the bill which was my signature block stated he would send me the bill in an email which I did receive 10 minutes later. Found he charged me for $485 worth of work Time but did not break out the time schedules as to what area stores or floors. Total charge was 4.5 working hours. I mediately called the office and discuss the times shown on my bill and ask for an accounting because I felt that the hours for the flooring could've been less. After a discussion with customer service which I was advised they would return my call within an hour after speaking with Jeff The customer service rep seem to be concerned that I wasn't given a bill when work was completed to review. After a review of the bill it was reduced by $100.

Excellent job performed in a professional manner. Damian arrived at the scheduled time and completed the job in an expedient manner. Kathy and Brandi were went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. All were customer oriented.

1. Install of the cabinets, counter top, kitchen sink and garbage disposal was fine. 2. The wall replacement was fine, except they cut holes for the outlets and switches much larger than should be and they have ragged edges. 3. Wrong screws used to partially secure dishwasher and had I not noticed, they would have come through the top of the counter when they were screwed in. 4. Main drain not secure and it leaks in 3 places and the faucet was not tightened enough and it moved around. 5. Outside wall not secured after replacing the studs in the inside. Far too expensive. At $96 an hour plus a trip charge of $52 every visit, I thought there job would be perfect, but this was not the case. No detail on materials they purchased and they up charge on top of that. I was told to warrant the materials. Why do wood studs and drywall need another warranty. And how does 5 studs, insulation, a few nails, and drywall need a warranty above the manufacture? This was four days of work.

We would call them again if we required their services.

Good communication, before and after. Responded on time did a good job within estimate provided. Cleaned up after finished. Price was not cheap but guaranteed and job was completed as promised. Had to provide my own door and have on site so cost is for labor and other parts.

So because my house was going up for sale and there was a lot of things needed to be done including the tiles so I called them to see what their prices were in general because there was a lot of things needed to be done and they were just beyond the price range I was willing to pay, they were nice and responsive but they were hourly and that was not effective for me. they were responsive very professional, the prices were just inflexible so it was pretty simple job, it only matter how long it would take and there is somethings that is built in like wait for things to dry and that you have to wait that time and I had to pay for it.

This is the second time I've used this company. The technicians are very professional and efficient. They did exactly what I requested. I was presented a verbal estimate over the phone and a written estimate when the technician surveyed the job on-site. Final costs were slightly less than estimated in both cases. I liked that my appointment window was only 2 hours. When he began the job he inventoried all the parts of the new toilet and noticed I had forgotten to purchase a return line. He told me exactly what I needed to purchase and continued his work while I ran to the hardware store. I could see how a different company may have handled that situation differently and charged me for a return visit. He uninstalled the old toilet and installed the new one. He hauled away the old toilet and disposed of the packaging for the new one. Everything is working perfectly and I was very satisfied with the job. I will use this company again.

The Mr. Handyman technician arrived on time ( a little late the first visit but his office called beforehand to tell me he would be late because of traffic) and quickly went to work. In both cases the estimated time to complete the projects was a bit shorter than actual completion times. The work was done well and the technician was polite and professional throughout. The payment system is automated so credit card processing onsite was quickly done.

This is the second time I have used Mr Handyman (www.MrHandyman.com or Jax@MrHandyman.com) located in Orange Park. I had the same technician, Paul. He was wonderful. Prompt, very professional, personable and fortunately he is dog friendly. His painting skills are wonderful. He was able to hang a heavy plaque over a huge entertainment center without having to move it. It wasn't easy but he got it done and it looks great. The first time Paul came to the house we needed outdoor painting done and he was very honest in what he felt actually required painting. He could have said the entire back of the house but he didn't. We really appreciated his honesty. The staff at Mr Handyman makes it very easy to set up appointments. They explain their billing practices and are happy to answer all questions so there are no misunderstanding. What I love about Mr Handyman is that if you have other items that come up and the technician has the time he will tackle those additional jobs and you just pay for any additional time. That is so convenient. Mr. Handyman has always been meticulous in cleaning up debris. Wonderful business!! I will continue to use them and recommend them to friends.

The handyman sent out to my residence was timely, knowledgeable, and very eager to make sure that he provided excellent customer service. He had a wealth of expertise.

The worker was professional and arrived on time. The only issue I have is with the price. The cabinet was the width of the refrigerator so it was not long by any means. To change a handle takes 10 mins. I would expect the price to be around $145 which is what they charge for the 1st hour. I think they are over priced.

He was great!!!! I was very impressed and felt like a queen every time I thought of a new project that I had forgotten about and was worried he may not have time but he was very accommodating. I felt a load off my shoulders as I no longer had to worry about my mounting To Do List that I never seem to have time to tackle!

Right from the start, this company was very professional--from the office staff to Paul, our assigned handyman. Appointments were kept to the minute or early and communication was timely. We opted to have the plaster reapplied rather than put up drywall. Paul did a beautiful repair job, including matching the plaster texture to the existing other walls. He explained everything at the beginning and end of each day and if there were any changes to the plan. The project came in under budget because it didn't take quite as long as estimated. Paul was always pleasant and professional. We recommend this company and will definitely use again.

The company called back very quickly and stated that she would contact her installers to find out about pricing. Comes down to it, we have the tile, 18x18 and 12x12, all grout and materials. The area of floor we are looking to tile is about 300sqft and the present flooring has been removed to the slab. They contacted us back and told us that they don't really come up to North jax to give estimates, and that it could cost us 275 (which is the charge for their 2 hour minimum) to come give us an estimate. I had also told them that the previous tile people said that we would need to level the floor a little bit to tile on top, using an auto leveler product (tile company recommendation) to level the floor which appears to have some low spots. All other contractors we discussed with stated that it is standard practice before installing tile, to level low spots in the floor. The Mr Handyman representative informed us that this process is not the normal for what they do. If there are low spots, they typically use the base grout to level ?!? I am a software programmer, not a tile installer, so I have no clue if this is normal or not. As it is, they stated that they do not want to do the job. By the way, they do work based on a per hour charge, not a per-job. Cant make a full recommendation on this client because they would not even come out to estimate, but for what its worth, they did call back quickly.

From my first call to Kathy for scheduling a visit for quote, to Matt's professionalism and "aussie" personality (who did the quote and the work), I can not say enough about how pleased I was with this experience. Matt came for the quote and as we walked through my issues, he was quick to explain his recommendation for repairs and answered all my questions. Originally Kathy wasn't sure they would be able to handle the screen room roof fix, but Matt was on the ball and once he saw what was needed, he knew he could handle the repair. The work took 6 days and I felt bad for Matt as it was in the hot, grueling Florida temperatures all week, but he was a trooper. Showing up each day on time and never slacking. As things progressed and minor issues (old termite damage, leaky faucet, dryer vent) were found, he promptly addressed them with me to see how I wanted to handle them. We even collaborated on a finishing trim solution I preferred for the cross cut sections of the siding repair. Not once did I have anything go wrong or not meet my expectations. And I was pleasantly surprised on the second day of the job when they owner made a visit to check in. Mike- Matt is a true value add to Mr. Handyman.

I Had an appointment set up for today, locked my day down and was called and hour before my 2 hour hour window when they were to be here and told the guy was staying on a previous job to do more work so he was not coming. I was furious as I have an autoimmune disease and it takes so much energy just for me to get up, get dressed and lock up my dogs. I also had cleaned everything away from the areas that would be worked on, I had gone and bought everything needed so I could not be told I did not have it, cancelled another job I could have lined up for today so I could accommodate them, and to think they don't even have a back up plan is ridiculous. Called me back and left a message saying someone could come Friday, but as I had told them, I have company coming in on Friday and now nothing will be done thanks to them. It's just rude to cancel a set appointment without having any other options such as another handyman on call for such situations. I was never told there could be a possibility that no one would show at all. People plan their entire day around these appointments and just to think it's acceptable to say "well we allow people to add extra work so he can't come do your job" is hideous. I found them thru Angie's List, but called them on my own as they had no deals running at the time. Lesson learned and anyone knowing that you want your job done when your told it will be, find another company that has better work ethics than this one. Offering to come 4 days after a set appointment because you have the opportunity to make more money off the person in front of me and then to think I would still use you at YOUR convenience is not how a good company treats it's customers.

I can't say enough good things about Brandi, who replied to my email within an hour covering all of the repair items found in a home inspection. She provided an estimate for repairs and recommended repair service companies for any items that Mr. Handyman could not do. Brandi is one of the main reasons that I chose Mr. Handyman for my repairs because she was so efficient and helpful. The repair tech Pete arrived on time and inspected all of the items on my repair list. He left to pick up all supplies needed and returned promptly to complete the repairs. Everything was completed in less than 4 hours. Pete did a great job on all repairs and met all expectations. I would recommend Mr. Handyman and will probably use their services again in the future for any repairs that may be needed.

Spoke to rep she said they don't do drywall work and I should call another company that specializes in that. Also says for any type of reconfigure of the bathroom I would need to design it myself before giving a quote.
