They are very professional. Job was done in a timely manner. Neat and attentive to detail. The employee was really great.

Overall did a good job. Clean-up afterwards could have been better.

I called Mr. Handyman on Monday, 05/12/2014 to see if they had any openings to replace and wire a new kitchen light. They tried to work me in on Monday but was unable to do so because of a full schedule. I took their earliest appointment which was Tuesday at 7:30am. The work was done by a man named "Pete" who showed up on time, who was very polite and professional. The job only took him 30 minutes to complete and I was well pleased. If I had additional work (which I didn't) he would have taken care of it at that time. I will give Mr. Handyman an A+ recommendation. Many Thanks!

It went good and it went fine. There are some things that they can do and some things they can’t. They were very friendly and very customer service oriented. They had expertise in some things and some they didn’t. He could do the things that I needed to do. This guy was good with carpentry. He is very nice and I am satisfied with him.

They didn't pressure us to do anything right away. We were able to get other estimates and call them back.

Mr. Handyman Serving Greater Jacksonville was responsive and local. The person did a good plumbing. I guess he has experience and follows through the work.

They were very professional. The guy was very nice, they showed up on time, they are really great in terms of the estimate; it just ended up being a little bit of our price range. We will not able to go ahead with it.

I would recommend as the company was polite and professional and job well done. The only drawback was because they give estimates and then come back and do the work. For a simple job like a fan installation, they came out, gave an estimate and then came back another day for an install. I can understand for more complicated jobs doing this but simple items like this make it cumbersome. Luckily I am a stay at home Mom but having to set up and appt for estimate and then another appt for the install was more work than it should be. If I worked it would be even more difficult. Perhaps they could have a "menu" of costs for small jobs or an hourly rate. For example, Ceiling Fan (replace exisiting) $75. Otherwise, I would highly recommend!

Follow Up Mr. Handyman's management was deeply concerned with the complaints I expressed and followed up to address them. They dispatched an alternate worker to clean the paint off the fence and correct the items that were overlooked. While I was unhappy with the original work, I do appreciate the effort and time put into rectifying the situation. The owner was exceptionally professional throughout the process and made no effort to dismiss or excuse the mistakes. I was impressed by this and have adjusted the ratings to include it. Review of Second Job Let me start with, "I should have known better". I had hired Mr Handyman to complete some repairs around the house earlier in March and was satisfied, if not happy, with the service. You can see the review for that job below. Apparently it was posted to a different "Mr Handyman" that is now out of business (11497 COLUMBIA PARK DR W 5, Jacksonville, FL 32258). While the handyman was still at my house for the first job, I had him look around and identify some other maintenance projects that should be taken care of. We scheduled time for him to come out to take care of the items we found. Unfortunately, I decided I could trust the guy to work without my supervision and did not take time off of work to be home. Without someone there, the trim work as done poorly, and he dumped the excess paint all over my backyard fence. The ceiling is "good enough" that wouldn't have faulted him for it, but in light of his other work, I'm sure it's probably shoddy too. My neighbor informed me that as soon as my girlfriend left, the worker went to his truck and sat there. . . I have taken pictures and will be forwarding them to the company. I will update this review again when they respond. Review of First Job I usually do home repairs myself but the work was covered by our home-owners insurance and I wanted to keep everything on the up-and-up. So I sought out a licensed contractor. Turning to Angie's List, I found Mr Handyman and scheduled them after reading their reviews. Scoring Overall: C Explanation: The experience was satisfactory. I am not left feeling that my money was well spent. I don't necessarily believe the hourly-rate was too high. Instead, I suspect that the worker did not manage his time well and that I was overcharged for materials. I did schedule Mr Handyman for additional work but I intend to try my luck with another company in the future. Price: C Explanation: This is probably the heart of my unease. I supplied most of the required materials but was lacking a quick-drying Spackle the contractor preferred. I offered to go get it, but he seemed set on going himself and asked for the location of the nearest Lowe's or Home Depot . I told him, but he disagreed and said the one on Atlantic Blvd was closer (Google places it five minutes further out). The result was a $160 trip for spackle and KILz spray-on primer (which I can't find, so I suspect he may have taken it with him . . .) At $96/hour, I was hoping for better time management and communication from the gentlemen. There should also be more clarity on the charge for "materials". No receipt was supplied, but $60 for spackle and a can of KILz seems . . . excessive. . . Especially when placed on top of the hourly fee. Quality: Despite the cost, the work was completed to satisfaction. The bottom of the kickboard does look like it needs a seal though. Responsiveness: The worker completed each task he was asked to do. Punctuality: The worker arrived on time. Professionalism: The worker conducted himself respectfully and had a professional appearance. I was comfortable having him in my home without supervision.

He did an excellent job. He was very efficient and a really nice guy. He was on time and cleaned up perfect. We were very happy.

Explained the procedures thoroughly. Was very informative regarding other projects (prep for painting). Flashing had to be bent away from roof to get to rotten wood. Neglected to bend flashing back in place.

The technician was very prompt and got the work done. He had everything he needed in his truck so I did not have to worry about him going out to get parts. He was very courteous and polite. The price is higher than others but I had a discount from going to the Home Show. I will use them again.

He came to my house to give me an estimate, and ended up leaving and having his secretary call me to tell me that he didn't think I could afford what he needed to do. He gave me a very poor impression, and was not at all professional.

Sent them pictures via e-mail, they said it would be no problem. When the worker cam to do the work he said it was beyond their capabilities. I ended up just fixing it myself.

He came on time, inspected the work to be done, left with the understanding that he would call back with an estimate, never called back. Ignored my calls to contact him. I was surprised because he appeared to be very interested , checking the project and what needed to be done, and then never got back with me. He was surprised when I told him I found him on Angie's list, He said he never registered with you!

Marty was prompt, polite and efficient We are doing a kitchen remodel and required some damaged drywall to be replaced. Marty did a very good job. I do wish the mudding would have been a little tighter/cleaner. It required a lot of sanding on our part. Now not being experts, when we painted, we could clearly see we had not done enough. He also replaced some shut off valves and did a very good job with that. Overall, we are glad we had Mr. Handyman take care of our repairs.

Pete arrived on time with all the tools and supplies to get the job done. He described the scope of the work, cost and time to do the job before starting. He was willing to add other repairs to the list if I thought of anything else that needed work. He was pleasant, careful, professional and respectful of my time. I felt the price was more than reasonable. Mr. Handyman deserves the A+ rating! Thanks Angie's List!!

It went very well. The technician was so easy to work with. I bought all the stain, nails, and paint then the technician fixed up the deck like new.

The work was performed on rental property. My tenant said they were punctual and professional. The work was performed in a timely manner and they were impressed with them.

They arrived on time. The gentleman had an excellent attitude. He left to shop at Home Depot to purchase the supplies. He did everything we requested, professionally and joyfully. We were very pleased with the work. The only footnote I would make is that they didn't provide the invoice from Home Depot so I don't know what the supplies actually cost. The next time, I would request that.

They did a very good. Mr. Handyman sent two workers and did a great job. This was done in two separate jobs. I believe their names were Jason and Pete. They both had knowledge of the jobs needed to be done and just overall did the job well. Their work looks like its good and it is staying fixed. I was totally pleased with the service. They were very nice people to work with.

Mr. Handyman was great. Pete showed up on time and did a great job. He was very friendly and professional. I will call them again when needed. I purchased the materials and he did the installation and repairs. It only took him two or three days to complete since it rained a lot. Overall, I was very pleased with the job.

I was very pleased with the outcome. Getting in touch with their reception was pretty easy and we did not have any scheduling issues that I recall.
