They did an excellent job. The crew that did the specialty work, like the run-off of the eaves and special areas took extra precaution and time to get those areas done correctly. They didn't take any shortcuts so we haven't had any issues with the roof since. Keith Stern was so professional and did exactly what he said he was going to do.

I went with Keith after getting 5 estimates following Irma. I chose his company because of the personal attention Keith (owner) gave my project and his competitive price. He personally did the the estimate and explained every step of the job, including replacing some previously rotted facia board. His crew did a great job cleaning up every day and were respectful of my home and family. My final cost was only $175 over his estimate which made my day as my roof was way over due and I anticipated a lot of extra charges for plywood and rotten wood replacement. The Stern crew don't drive fancy $60,000 pick-up trucks around like some of the other guys, but they do a great job.

Stern roofing is a quality roofing company who is fair and easy to deal with. Keith is on every job and ensures that his customers are satisfied.

I was happy with work at the time. The shingles started bubbling up and showing significant signs of wear after 12 years. Called him several times to come out and inspect roof to give me his opinion on remaining life. He said he would come by but never did. I finally gave up trying to get him to come by. I was not trying to get him to honor a warranty, just give me a professional opinion. Very unprofessional conduct on his part in my opinion. I am in process of getting estimates to re-roof my house, but you can be sure I did not call him.

Keith Stern is very professional and his work is top notch. I would recommend him to anyone asks me about a roofing company.

Impossible to review a service when you can't them to respond to a request for a roof repair. Stern replaced the roof on our house about 15 years ago. We had a leak about five years ago that they repaired. We found another soft spot over a month ago and have been leaving messages and being told that he would call us back. Then the holidays, so we figured we'd hear after but we never did. We've found a different roofing contractor who has been much more responsive and who has fixed our problem. We will call them instead of Stern when our entire roof needs replacing. Such a shame to have a local contractor not care about their previous customers. It would have been better if they would have just told us they weren't planning on coming and we wouldn't have wasted weeks with our roof leaking waiting on them!

I have contacted Keith Stern Roofing THREE TIMES now - and THREE TIMES I have been told someone would come out and provide an estimate for a small roof repair - and THREE TIMES no one has come. Sadly, I live very close by to Keith Stern Roofing. And so SADLY, Keith Stern Roofing WILL NOT be on my short list to replace my roof. If you can't trust a contractor for the small things - then how can you trust them for the big things!

Contractor did very well, and was on-time for all appointments. Change Order for a roof drainage correction was fairly priced. Contractor was the highest of three proposals. Picked Stern because of what work was included for the price , what resources he owned, and a real sense of professionalism. Also because of some discussion we had about the management of his work crews and how they conduct themselves on a project site. You get what you pay for and he costs a little more but I'll pretty sure I won't need to call him.

Absolutely top flight start to finish. Even helped me take care of some issues with bad flashing and poor attic ventilation that were "built in" by the original builder. Started when he said he would and finished likewise. Cleaned up every day and dragged the yard and beds with magnets every day - multiple times when finally finished.

They did a fine job. They put a good roof on. They were punctual. However, the second time that I called them for an estimate, they only called me back about a week later and I never heard from them again. They just left me hanging. I will never use them again in the future.

He did a very good job in terms of customer service. However, he made a few mistakes on the house and his follow-up has been nonexistent. There were some issues with the skylights. He damaged the inside of my house while replacing the skylights. He came out two weeks later after my calling and did not bother again. I just stopped asking and did not bother him again. He gave me a good price and the roof was awesome but it was the little things he messed up on in terms of responding to my inquiries and after sales service.

They started the job on 10/20/2011 and had the old roof off and dried in with new felt waiting on the inspector for 10/21/2011. The inspector came 10/21/2011 and they completed the job the same day. On the rear of the house there is flat roofing on the porch and shed which required roll roofing. The roll roofing was left hanging over and not trimmed. I was informed it needed to stay that way for a couple of days until dry so it would not curl up at the edges. They would be back the week of 10/23/2011 to do the trimming. They did not show up. It is now 11/15/2011, three weeks later and they have not been out to trim the role roofing. I have called them on three different occasions. On the last call I was promised it would be done over the weekend and it is now Tuesday , the weekend is long gone and I am still waiting in it to be done. I have other work scheduled (rain gutters) to be done with another company and they can't do the work until the roofing is trimmed. Keith Stern Roofing does not seem to care.

Keith and his team accommodated my schedule each time I was required to be on site. The recommendations were explained in detail in such a manner that I understood the how and why of each part of the estimate. The final cost did not vary from the estimate. Keith called me after they completed to make sure I was satisfied and there were no outstanding questions. He even fielded questions from my home owners association representative. I can't tell you how many times I have been asked who completed my roof. I hope my neighbors have used him for their roofing needs. I am very satisfied with their work.

Excellent job overall, good estimate with nothing left out, work team showed up on time, roof was done in a day and a half and the carpentry work on the chimney was done the next day. Quaility of the roof installation is very good, job site left very clean, uses a box truck to haul away the old shingles so no container sitting in the driveway for days. Could not have asked for a better experience even though buying a new roof is never fun.

I rate them highly. I picked them because they answered the phone.

He came and did the job and it was perfect. I would recommend them to others.

Keith Stern cleans up after the job and is very professional. He is in and out in a timely manner. If there is follow up work he makes sure it is done.

Keith Stern Roofing was excellent. They replaced the roof in only two days and cleaned everything up. There was not one nail or shingle in my yard. The rows are straight, and I have more expensive, better quality shingles.
