2013 storm damage, repairs made, 2015 new storm and same interior damage resulted repairs made as it was under my USAA policy warranty. 2017 I notice same damage, called Howard Construction again, two representatives arrived, one stated he was part of team that did repair in 2015. He confirmed exact same damage in the exact same location. Then said Howard Construction no longer works with USAA. Then said I had staples in some of the shingles (that was not issue) and not the cause of the exact same problem three times! Adjustor arrived and examined previous repairs and stated the original repairs were not done to standard construction practices resulting in these repeated matters, (no kidding). Howard Construction does not do quality repair work, and to deny this and treat me like an idiot is absurd. Dont use them!

There were several delays with the project and one worker that became upset and walked off job. He did not cover shower drain well when working on shower and drain became clogged. I have had difficulty with maintaining a seal around shower floor and have recauked multiple times. I finally had crew come out to check shower and after removing tiles we wound that they had not caulked sill of window (only grouted) and that water from shower had been draining behind wall . Needless to say I now have to redo the entire wall with new wood and repair wood damage. I was advised that this could have been prevented if Howard Construction would have simply caulked sill. I would not recommend this company for any remodel, particularly if it is a bathroom area.
Description of Work: Howard Construction remodeled my son's bathroom in 2010. There were several delays with the project / They redid shower pan, retiled floor and shower and walls. They installed block glass window.

Description of Work: My renter drove into my rental property. The insurance company sent out Howard construction. I had the damaged siding, frame, door, and sheetrock that was no longer attached to building removed. The only thing they had to do was a quick frame up. (5) 2x4x8's and (2) 4x8 plywood. They left a hole at the bottom corner that was big enough for a medium sized dog to get into the house. They billed 7 hours for 2 guys 1 hour of work each. I guess 2.5 hours of drive time for each guys was added. That may be standard, I don't know.

Description of Work: We had two major water disasters, one after the first within 4 months. Neither was related to the other, but both were in the same space. Days after the first job was almost finished another water damage occurred. USAA, our insurance company recommended Howard Construction to do the repairs. This involved total water remediation to avoid mold issues, replacing extensive drywall, tile, bathroom cabinetry, painting, new carpet & installation of new wood flooring. | Mike Galaska, was our project manager. He was so professional, responsive & above all so caring. This job was tedious due to the fact that basically it had to be done twice because we had two separate water problems. We had no idea that Mike Galaska, as representative for Howard Construction, would go the extra mile as far as our wood flooring was concerned. We didn't expect that. He found a company in Georgia that provided lumber from an old cotton mill that looked even better than what we originally had. We did not expect or ask for that. He had seen that our floor was "seasoned" & had a beautiful color, but sadly was ruined by the water. Everyday we walk on it & look at it we our so grateful to Mike Galaska & Howard Construction for going way beyond the extra mile in putting our home back together. Recommend them? Without hesitation!!!!

Description of Work: They repaired & rebuilt a detached garage that had fallen victim to a giant tree limb. The work was very professional. The only drawback is that they are quite busy and at times, difficult to respond. However, I did call them back the next year for additional (separate) work, and was again pleased with the work performed.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. They re-did my roof 7 years ago. Two years later, an overhang above my front door had to be completely rebuilt. They refused to take responsibility for their poor workmanship. Now I need new flashing around two skylights and the entire seam where my roof meets the nextdoor neighbor’s wall. I wish I’d never called them.

The Owner of company came to my home within 48 hours as i had a bad leak - Questionable workmanship by previous roofer. He seemed very confident of what the problems were and within 3 or 4 days work was done. however, the roof continued to leak. this went on for about 2 months, and it was finally fixed by a roofing company named Shelton i think. i had planned on suing the first roofer but after all the drama with this repair, i hesitated. i wrote an email to Don expressing my disappointment, nothing more... owner wrote a LONG email about all that they did for me with a no-guarantee repair. he also demanded a letter of apology from me . i immediately called their office to let him know that there was definitely a miscommunication as the email he wrote was hurtful. i was told he could not take my call then and would call back. i called twice again in as many weeks and have never heard from him. I truly did want to talk to him and explain there were NO hard feelings. I was courteous and polite on the phone and the lady who answers the phone always took my information but seemed to be protective of the owner which i found to be rather odd! i told her that i was calling about an email that i had received, she then resent the email stating that i had informed her that i had not received the email. SO much misinformation going on which could have been avoided had he called me back and listened to me on the phone! It was reiterated that the work was done with "No warranty" in the email. I still think to this day that the work should be completed first time with all that $$. That is all i wanted. The events he advised me what were done - i didn't see them as i was very very sick. The workers did not knock on the door and i had no calls from Don or his staff. I am still disappointed that the repair took so long. i now have to replace the kitchen ceiling area from the chronic leak. i am an older person and understand the ins and outs of warranties/guarantees/policies etc. this type of behavior made no sense to me whatsoever. my neighbor was with me when he came out for the estimate and agrees with me that he was certain of the problem and solution. who knew?! I actually fear retaliation from him when he reads this. I just want "buyer beware."

The job was done very well. This company had a very reasonable price for roof replacement on my rental property. All the details were accomplished over the phone and Anthony, the Project Manager was very easy to talk to and got everything arranged in a timely fashion. He explained the whole process and I was very pleased with the results.

All went well. Roof was replaced to my satifsfaction. Only issue was the skylight. The wrong one was ordered and it took a bit longer than originally scheduled. We did not know that was the reason we still had roofing materials on top of the house until I called to inquire, but they confirmed it was the skylight and it was replaced. All work performed on the roof and the replaster job was nicely done. I would consider them for additional remodeling on our home and recommend their service.

I had a serious flood in my home, crumbling ceilings, walls and ruining my hardwood floors. I had been out of town for two days, so you can imagine the level of damage incurred when my hot water heater sprung a leak in my attic. I chose Howard Construction to work with my homeowner's insurance, State Farm. I fully expected a draining experience, but I was completely surprised. Howard Construction assigned a Superintendent to my job who was amazingly thorough, honest and actually "on my side". The quality of work was truly wonderful and they fixed areas of my house back to its original condition. What they promised me was, my house would be put back in as good, if not better, condition, and that is exactly what happened. I don't know who offered the better service; State Farm or Howard Construction. For something that could have been absolutely horrible, it ended up being inconvenient, for sure, but not once, contentious or frustrating. You can hire Howard Construction with complete confidence.
Description of Work: Wall reconstruction Ceiling reconstruction Hardwood floor refinishing and in some areas, replacement Kitchen pipe correction and replacement Complete renovation of bathroom, including new floors, walls, ceilings, tub, sink and w/c Drying, repairing and reconstructing floor joists 3-month drying and monitoring of all hardwood floors They repainted all the rooms, stippled ceilings and replaced lighting and fans Replaced deep baseboards and crown moldings; matched them perfectly They also re-hung all my blinds and drapes, certainly not required of the job.
