I find William to be very professional and responsive. He is up front about any costs and sends bills timely. His team does a great job on my lawn (front and back) as well as the swale. I like him so much I am going to hire him for some landscaping in the fall. I read the only other report on here and was quite shocked. I have the absolute opposite review and rating and have been dealing with his company for many months now and continue to receive consistently great work!

Our experience with Will Derousie left a lot to be desired. We live in a quad-plex and have a very tiny yard. The back yard is privacy fenced and a drainage ditch runs behind it. All we needed was the front yard and the strip behind the fence in the back mowed. (Really only the back strip was necessary since my electric mower can cut the front, but since the cost is the same we chose to have the front done too.) Due to having several dogs, when I made the appointment I informed him that I mow the back yard myself and told him EXPLICITLY we only needed the strip behind the fence mowed. Well, apparently he did not hear that and the person he sent was told it was supposed to have been cut. Now our fence?s gate does not open from the outside and is blocked at the bottom to keep the dogs from escaping, so common sense should have prompted them to call for instructions. Instead, he JUMPED the privacy fence to get into the back yard! He was then promptly chased out by my dogs. About 4:30 in the afternoon, I get a call telling me that they were not able to cut the back yard and that we need to pen the dogs up the next time. When I called him back, he could not tell me how his employee left the yard, so we had to cancel our evening plans and spend the next three hours, while waiting for quitting time at work, worrying if the dogs were still secure in the yard or if they had escaped. Luckily, they were still there as the guy must have jumped the fence to get back out. After verifying the dogs were all right we assessed the job that was done. We were NOT impressed! The front yard looked like it had been mowed with dull blades?very uneven with long scraggly spots throughout. All the grass trimmings were blown onto out neighbor?s driveway instead out to the street. But the thing that sucked most of all was that the strip behind the fence was still not cut! This was the PRIMARY reason for us hiring someone!! Needless to say that my husband was not happy that we spent $25 to have only the front mowed and that the job was done so poorly! He called Mr. Derousie to complain and left a voicemail expressing that (no foul language?just let him know we were not pleased and needed someone to come back out to finish the job). Will Derousie called back immediately and proceeded to tell me I had said nothing about him not going in the back yard (I know I did, and regardless?what about COMMON SENSE as stated previously???). He then told us to get someone else to cut our grass and that he was ?too busy to deal with? this. We felt this was EXTREAMLY UNPROFESSIONAL behavior?blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility for an error and fixing it! We considered stopping payment on the check we gave them, but decided to write a review instead to warn others not to do business with Will Derousie or his company. Hopefully this will prevent someone else from having this type of experience. BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU WANT A PROFESSIONAL JOB DONE AND WANT TO DEAL WITH SOMONE WHO LISTENS AND DOES NOT PLAY THE BLAME GAME, DO NOT USE GREENWAY LAWNS OR WILL DEROUSIE!!!!
