C&S refinishing

had my 4 poster red maple bed refinished and repaired crack in leg. Love the new brown color instead of RED! It's done beautifully. The only "small" annoyance was that it was difficult to get a call back to check on status. I had to stop by until they were open... a stain color needed to be chosen. They also did a wonderful job on repairing an antique gilded French mirror.

I called Chris and arranged a time for him to come over. Beyond providing a simple estimate, he took the time to find out exactly what I wanted and spent several hours with his son, Michael, offering ideas I had't considered that were, hands down, more attractive than what I had in mind--which caused me to believe his caring, expertise and determination to "do the job right" ultimately spared much disappointment and expense. He left a side table and a color wheel to help in selecting the paint and, at several junctures, checked to make sure we were on the same page--a meticulous approach that exposed several discrepancies between what I attempted to communicate and what was actually said. Not only did he excel in establishing and documenting what we decided and the best means of achieving it, he provided the names of several glass companies, fabric stores and upholsterers for the supplemental pieces, then delivered them at no extra charge. The workmanship he provided along with wife, Samantha and son, Michael, exceeded all expectation, which, as a detail-oriented person, proved formidable. The premium placed on excellence, communication, service, and artistic integrity made working with CS Refinishing a truly gratifying experience. P.S. Because I have never had anything refinished and did not get any other quotes, I did not feel qualified to comment on the price.
