At the beginning everything was good until I started to have leaks in the patio. When I called the office in Orange Park Florida, the customer service was rude and disrespectful. I never recommend their service ever again. I had to get someone else to repair the mess that was left behind. They over **** some aluminum and drainage to cover up the mess. ' Worst company ever, never recommend it. .

I had a complicated claim, they worked with my insurance company to get the claim paid, then their recommendations for the rebuild were spot on! Everyone involved did an excellent job, on time and I was provided with contact info for everyone involved. Great job done by all. My new lanaii is beautiful! Highly recommend BHI for any project!!

This is an excellent trustworthy company with caring customer service members that will treat you like family ! I had them install my porch cover and screen the patio in 2018 ,and decided to use them for my new roof this year . I highly recommend these guys ! We were looking to sell our house prior to this and wanted to add a sunroom. I am so glad we chose BHI because they exceeded our expectations. They were friendly and super responsive. If it wasn't for them, we probably would've sold our house. They were with us every single step of the way and it was well worth the wait.

We first discovered BHI at the Jacksonville Home and Patio Show three years ago while interviewing contractors to install windows and Patio doors. BHI provided the best price and the quickest installation date, and we were extremely pleased with their outstanding professionalism and spectacular installation results! Most recently we wanted three new windows installed, so we went directly to BHI. Once again we are extremely pleased with their professionalism and installation results! Robert is amazing in how thorough he is in installing all size windows and ensuring amazing results. We are very pleased and will certainly be going back to BHI when we have additional home improvement needs.

The crew at Better Home Improvement was great to work with. They put new Hardie siding on our house and had to deal with a ton of rotten wood and water damage. The workmanship was excellent! Steve and team were responsive to our questions and flexible with our changes. We would definitely use them again. We practically have a new house!

Very professional roofing crew, Chris was excellent in his knowledge and making me feel comfortable and understanding what was going on, Billy was wonderful in his communication and keeping me up to date with updates. No delays!! Roof done wonderfully within timeframe stated. Roofing crew very professional, quiet (I work from home on the phone and could not hear them) and very courteous and concerned to make sure everything was cleaned up and no roofing nails around. Would use them again if I need any other roofing work done.

The company Better Home Improvement, Inc. did an excellent job ! I am please with the outcome. My house is beautiful and looks great in my neighborhood. I couldn't ask for a better company to handle the job. They were very professional and polite when conducting business. I am getting a lot of compliments from my neighbors and relatives that my house looks good on my street. I am so happy with their job performance and agreed on the great improvements. The GOOD: The product is truly awesome. I have no issues with the sub-contractors that performed the work. They were professional and very kind. The finished product is definitely worth the higher than normal cost. The BAD: (1) When signing the contract, they initially wanted 75% up front. I re-negotiated to paying in thirds. The contract process is not professional, hand written and they wanted money on the spot. Have a contract written that will hold up in Court. BEWARE: In the contract, it will state: Final payment is due on substantial completion of construction. What does that mean? They basically want the outstanding balance before all work is completed which means the remaining work will be at their whim. I was told not to worry, that I could pay when I was happy and the work was done. I was wrong. I RECOMMEND if signing, to change the contract to read final payment due AT COMPLETION of work and Owner acceptance. (2) Contract was supposed to be completed in 3 months. They took 5 months and were very slow to respond to inquiries about the status. I went a month without hearing or seeing anyone. (3) The contractors were not very good at cleaning up after the work was done. Many caulk tubes, nails, screws, wood scraps and paper trash was left on the property (4) The company aggressively demands payment and threatens law suits if you resist (NOTE: Payment on substantial completion of work) . In my case, I had 3 items that I noticed BEFORE construction was completed, one being a leaking roof at the seam. They wanted to cover it in Warranty and they would schedule it when they could. Read the reviews from other customers who filed complaints about Warranty work. I resisted and said no final payment (I offered 90%-keeping the final 10% until issues were resolved) until these items were completed....I didn't consider them Warranty. In fact, Steve (Sales) stated the roof repair was complete and I needed to pay; but when I spoke with the roofer after Steve's statement, the roofer had no idea where the leak was, let alone the location, and was never contacted about the leak. The staff, namely Steve, Dave and the owner Kevin repeatedly called and texted with very unprofessional and hostile threats to go to an Attorney, invalidate their lifetime warranty and left numerous angry messages stating I needed to pay as THEY considered the work completed. Shouldn't the customer determine when the job is complete? To be fair, Billy is awesome to work with and will work with you. Despite the absolute high quality of work (at a high price), I could NEVER recommend this company to friends because of the hostility received from the staff regarding payment before all services are completed. All I wanted were these items to be corrected which would take less than a day to accomplish. To me, customer service makes or breaks a company and how this customer was treated was very poor.

They did a fantastic job. They cleaned up well. I was very happy with the service. They're cost was $2,000 less than some of the other companies that I got quotes from. I found them though a home and patio show here in town.

The best find in all of North Florida! After interviewing multiple companies, contractors would not show up, not call back, not answer the phone...horrible! Kevin, owner of BHI, not only kept in contact, but made several trips out to meet with me and check on progress. His crews showed on time and completed the work, working with my accelerated time schedule! I've been a contractor in California for 23 years and I can tell if subcontractors know what they're doing. Both crews worked competently and professionally, especially the guys replacing the siding. They were experienced, with an eye for detail that is hard to find these days. Thanks to Kevin, Billy, Serena and Maya at BHI, for making these projects successful and my house beautiful!

I cannot speak more highly of Better Home Improvement, Inc. They recently added a porch to my home. First day they came out and installed the forms. Second day, they laid the concrete ? it rained that day and the concrete was messed up. Before I could even call them to see what could be done, they were out and repairing it. Their employees were very respectful and went out of their way to be helpful.

My wife and I bought a 1950's house and spent 6 months remodeling the interior before moving in, replaced the roof and landscaping, but the exterior was stuck in the 50's. Kevin gave me some options of which way to go and I threw in a few curves with things I didn't like about the original design. While completing the contract, Steve and I talked about these changes and he told me they can handle all the items I wanted to do, and in addition to the original cost, the added items were a lot lower than I expected to accomplish. They got started in a few weeks and transformed my ugly exterior into exactly what I had hoped my home would look like. My chipped, peeling paint, and bad wood was gone, my roofline was straightened, and the pitiful excuse for columns were replaced with hand made columns that are spectacular!! The construction crew were extremely thorough and clean. They were very conscientious with feedback about each step, very friendly, and best of all I didn't have anything left to do. Everything was done right the first time and everything was cleaned up as they went along. My house is the first one on the block and was empty for 3 years it was so bad, and the neighbors have stopped by telling us how much they love what we have done in the last 4 years, and now it's not only complete but absolutely beautiful once again. I can't thank you all enough for ALL the work you saved me, but also the transformation I was hoping for, you accomplished in such a short time doing everything you told me would be done, with no add on's or hidden cost's. Again to everybody at Better Home Improvements, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH. You guys knocked this one out of the park.
