Certified Climate Control

As a property manager I am always looking for ways to prevent problems for the tenants, save my property owners money, and stave off costly repairs. Since HVAC outages always seem to occur and often at the worst possible times, it only makes sense to me to be pro-active especially. I purchased 20 A/C Tune-ups thru Angie's List Big Deal program. I worked with Certified Climate Control (CCC)'s scheduling office and they contacted the tenants directly in most cases to schedule the service. The office staff was great - - letting me know of any scheduling issues and sending me follow-up copies of the technician's work sheets with their notes for each property. In most cases, the tune-ups went smoothly but in a handful, more work was needed. The Certified Climate Control (CCC) technician always called me directly to let me know there was a problem and the suggested fix. If it was a critical issue and I OKed the fix, they immediately corrected the problem. If it was not critical but definitely recommended, the office contacted me with an estimate so I could follow-up with the owner and then schedule the work accordingly. One of the 20 tune-ups was for my own house. The technician was prompt, courteous and checked my system over thoroughly. I heard the same in terms of experience from my tenants. I will definitely plan to do this again next year.

Because of the hurricanes we have had over the last several years, they now require a separate concrete slab so the unit won’t blow away. He answered all my questions and the estimate was right on. They completed the job in one day and thoroughly cleaned up. He did come back in 10 days for a follow up. They also did put in a new thermostat. This is by far the best experience I have had with a company.

First off we knew we were in good hands when the appointment was scheduled the very next day and the promptness of contact was near immediate! Dan called to say he was on his way (great touch / communication), I wasn't going to be at home so I told him a couple of our concerns as one of our units (both replaced by another company 18 months before) wasn't cooling very well at all. Dan listened completely, repeated back to me the concerns (wow!!) and said he'd be arriving in 40 minutes or so. My mother in law who was at home for the service called me and I honestly, took a deep breath expecting the worse. I was impressed yet again, she was calling to compliment Dan for the service, communication, thoroughness, and highly professional manner that he exhibited (again, not a normal reaction from my Mother -in law). Dan left detailed notes, was very thorough, made a couple of minor changes that he didn't need to make - I had told him to fix whatever he needed and they could bill us separately as we had purchased a "deal" from Angie's list. He did the repairs, tune-ups, and didn't charge anything extra. Amazing, yet again. I need these guys at my businesses and look forward to recommending them to anyone I run across who needs service. Simply incredible and honest hard working and professional people... Fantastic and many thanks to Dan and the entire team for running a great company.

My 14 year-old a/c unit stopped working. I called another company. They said repairs would cost well over $500 and advised me to buy a new system for about $5,000. I called Certified Climate Control for another quote. They said they were busy but would try to get someone to my house. Within two hours, they called back and said someone would be at the house in 45 minutes. They showed up on time, checked out the a/c and said they could make the repairs for $375. I understand that within the next two years or so I will need to replace the unit, but Certified said that it makes sense to do the repairs now and then shop for the best price on a replacement unit. The a/c unit runs great now. I also signed up for their service plan, which included not only regular maintenance but also a $300 discount when I buy a new unit. I am very satisfied with Certified and recommend them highly.

The service was good. I just paid the price of the big deal. They were good. The quality of the service and their responsiveness were good. Their punctuality and professionalism were also good.

Great experience from beginning to end. The salesman, Greg White, was very professional, friendly, punctual and willing to meet in early evening after I got off work. Their estimate was cheaper than the competition for the same general equipment, too. The installers (his name is Lucky) were on-time (early actually) and clearly very experienced and good at what they do. Also very professional. Everything went very smoothly and works perfectly. We are very happy with them and the quality of their work, and got the best price. What else can you ask for? I definitely recommend them.

Went through system with a fine-tooth comb. Cleaned all coils. Explained everything as he was working. Refilled the "liquid gold" (aka freon). Excellent quality.

The service was outstanding. With the value we got, it was definitely worth it. They were very professional, and always on time. The workers were very skilled, and you could tell that they knew what they were doing. I would recommend them.

So far so good, lasting through the summer with no complaints. The new ac did lower my electric bill.

The cleaning of the air conditioner was done and some other little items taken care of and it was once again cool in the house! However, our unit is getting older and may have to be replaced in the next year, but it was certainly worth having the cleaning done to make it last as long as possible. And the repairman was very professional. I certainly recommend this company.

This is the second time I use there services. Mike was excellent. Very knowledgeable and quick. Same great service even for a warranty.

He was excellent. I was very pleased with them. He left it better than how he found it and he didn't try to sell me any extras.

It went very well. We will most likely make them our permanent service company.

Came home to a house after vacation that was 95 degrees. Went to Angies list Selected based on reviews, came quickly on a saturday afternoon, quickly identified the issue. He said $89 for showing up and $200 for the part. They might have said $89 for weekend visit, $100 labor and $100 for the part which is $28 online. Just seemed a bit high and left me feeling I would not be calling again.

Ralph the technician arrived on time and was so courteous as to remove his shoes before entering the house! He quickly identified the problem and blew out the algae from the clogged drain line. He made several recommendations to upgrade the unit, including adding a flow switch which would have prevented the unit from flooding the carpet. Ralph however did not pressure me; he just gave me the information and the related benefits. The price was extremely reasonable, especially considering I received next-day service and the temperature outside was over 90 degrees. Ralph was one of the most efficient and personable servicemen I've encountered. Of course he made my day by restoring me to air-conditioned comfort. But he also he also made my day with his consideration and heart.

I was very pleased with them. The manager went in and explained everything to my tenants. He didn't charge me anything extra for this work even though could have.

I was very impressed with the company and technician Dan. He called to request coming EARLIER than the scheduled later time which was fine with us. Dan arrived and I immediately took a liking to him. He definitely knows his air conditioning as he diagnosed the problem with in minutes of arriving! It was a bad capacitor. It felt like a "friend" was coming over to help out as Dan seemed to enjoy my company as he worked. Replacing the capacitor and adding some Freon to the system made our air conditioner go back to working fine! Having a house at ninety-degrees inside is not something you want to endure for too long ! The company responded in a very timely manner. I was "holding my breath" before the visit as my air conditioner is rather old, I was VERY impressed that there was no high pressure "selling" to upgrade me to a new air conditioning system. I know I will have to do that in the future so I will start saving some money now for that but for the present I was able to get by with a reasonable repair bill. When the time comes for a new unit Certified Climate Control will definitely be the company that will be installing it! Dan gave me a quote for that and it was a reasonable amount. I would highly recommend this company.

They were pretty good. We used them through a big deal on Angie's List. We spent more than the big deal which was for $49. We needed several things fixed so it was $300 or $400 more. We bought a foreclosed home, so we didn’t know what could be wrong. The company was fine. They are reliable, and they seem like they are telling the truth. With regard to price, I don’t have anything to compare it to. With regard to quality, everything has been fine. With regard to responsiveness, I don’t remember having any issues.

We called after hours, and reached a human being who was very nice and accommodated out appointment time needs. The repair man showed up on time, worked outside in unit in pouring rain without complaint, he was pleasant and professional. We were stunned at reasonableness of the cost!

The technician was on time and very thorough. Complete visit lasted approximately 3 hours. He made certain recommendations which we concurred with. He was very knowledgable and willing to answer all of our questions.

We purchased a 50% off coupon to have our Central A/C unit tuned up. This was supposed to include blowing out the pipes. The tech skipped blowing out the inside pipes although he did clean out the outdoor pipes. We had a flood of water in our garage yesterday and today and we were forced to call another company (one recommended by our friend) and spend an extra $150 having the problem resolved. When he took off the panel and showed us the pipes it was obvious from the build up and sludge that these pipes had not been cleaned. I guess you get what you pay for.

CCC was originally called in to evaluate why our unit wasn't cooling. They were able to recharge and get us going within a day. On that same visit, we were advised that our unit was on its last leg and that we should begin preparing to replace it. We were given an estimate for this, as well as duct work to increase airflow to our third bedroom. We are so glad we followed their advice and began saving, because three months later our compressor was completely shot. Our unit was original to the house and was 16 years old. The workers were at our place on time and had everything they needed to complete the job in just a few hours. The job was exactly as we had been quoted 3 months previous. CCC helped us understand all of our options, including efficiency rebates, and we felt confident in our choices. We cannot recommend this company enough.

I've used them in the past and like usual it went really well. They are willing to travel at no extra charge, and were punctual and provide great service at reasonable pricing.
