Certified Climate Control

Dan came out and did an excellent job. I have used Dan in the past and he is always very professional and goes above and beyond what other service providers do. He diagnosed the problem and explained the time frame in which I would need to have this fixed and was not high pressured.

The technician Dan make the most comprehensive servicing I've ever experienced. He thoroughly examined both units and suggested replacement of the contact mechanism for both and for a condenser in one. He backed up the recommendations with photos. This was not a hard sell. The contacts were not malfunctioned but were showing scorching which he said indicated wear and potential trouble ahead. The condenser was below manufacturer recommended efficiency recommendations. Both units are 10 years old and his recommendations seemed reasonable. He showed me the parts he replaced after repair. I felt Dan was very competent and I trusted his judgement. The initial servicing was about $100 and the repairs were and additional $424.

Dan showed up on time for our scheduled 9am-12pm window and got to work right away inspecting my filter, coil, capacitor, blower wheel, etc. He then flushed the condensation line and cleaned it with an antibacterial solution. He then went outside and checked the board, capacitor, etc. and found one cap was out of spec and recommended replacing to avoid future issues. He also added 1lb of freon as per the contract. The cap replacement cost was going to be $185 but from a previous experience with a cap gone bad I know that this is overpriced and opted out of getting it as its a pretty simple diy job that I'm confident I can do. Overall for the services rendered it was a good deal but after hearing how much a simple 3 wire connection to a capacitor was going to be I decided to not even bother asking how much to replace my condenser coil on my downstairs unit(it has a leak and needs to be replaced) as I had a feeling the amount was going to be just as bad(over an $1100 job that I didn't even bother getting a quote for). My advice would be to charge so much on 5 minute jobs as it can turn off a potential customer for larger repairs which I am one, not everybody just opens their checkbook, I myself investigate the costs & determine if its something the avg homeowner can do himself then determine which things I want to tackle & which I do not, usually its those big jobs where hundreds of dollars in flat rate labor that I end up not doing and leaving to the pros.

When I called, dispatch sent someone out to do the work. They showed up when they said they would. Everything was done professionally and there was no mess of any kind. My experience with the deal was good.

It was a special found on Angie's List. We just moved into this house and wanted to make sure the equipment was in good condition. The company was very quick to make contact and schedule the appointment. The service person who arrived was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time going over the system checking everything thoroughly. He also was patient and spent time answering all our questions. We were very impressed with the company and service. We purchased the service contract and part of the price included a surge protector for the unit, however he did not have one on the truck. Before we could contact the company to schedule the return visit to install, they called us. The person who came on the second visit was just as knowledgeable and patient. We would highly recommend Certified Climate Control.

My 10 year old air conditioner had stopped blowing cold air. I was not prepared to replace the unit, so I was hoping it was just low on coolant. They performed a complete tune up and diagnostic. It was low on coolant but there were some other issues that I would likely need to take care of sooner rather than later. I was not pressured to make immediate repairs. He simply provided an estimate which included an Angieslist discount, and told me to call if and/or when I needed. After the tune up, my A/C is still functioning just fine and I WILL call Certified Climate Control again.

The experience was all right. The replacement didn't fix the problem as it wasn't the problem, so it tripped again. I had to call somebody else. It was actually the wiring that rubbing with the outside a/c unit and another company was able to fix it. I am sure on a regular basis, Certified Climate will be fine. The guy was very professional. He may not have had enough experience to check for the wiring. I told another guy who fixed the problem that it happened three times already. Certified Climate control was the second person, I had out and they both did the exact same thing. I asked him why it was tripping breakers and he didn't have any answer for me. The third guy that came out, went immediately to the a/c unit and he said anytime that's happening then it would be a wiring issue. I don't really know. I didn't have to wait too long for the time period they gave me.

From the initial meeting with Mike Mason and the installers that came out , Jason and Joe, the choice to go with CCC was the right one! Very professional, courteous people. Mike helped us pick a system that wouldn't break the bank but has all the bells and whistles. Jason/Joe installed in 5 hours and left no trace of their presence (except the broom they forgot! I will give it to Mike when he comes back to inspect). Awesome! Totally helpful...WILL USE AGAIN!

My 6 year heater stopped working in early Jan. I called another company, rec by a neighbor. The guy told me the system was mold invested and that I needed to replace it all for about $9,000.00. The 2nd contractor, rec by my dog walker, said the first had overexaggerated the mold issue to the point of being FRAUD. He agreed my AC/Heating needed to be replaced, only because another company had installed it incorrectly, causing a slant w caused a leak. Cost: $5,400.00. Certified Climate Control had far and away the most number of good reviews on Angie's, (300+), so I waited two more days for their input. Within 30 minutes, Grant had the heater working!!! He'd gone into the master panel and re-directed the heater! He then performed a $110 leak test, found two, showed me and I approved fixing. He also found a connector problem in the outside unit, ordered the part, and installed it the following week. He rec a UV light to address what he called "harmless level" of mold in ac, and got me on the CCC maintenance plan, $21 monthly, so that I could have priority service in the future. A UV light installation comes free with the maintenance plan.!! So, for less than $1000, he fixed everything he found wrong!!! I couldn't rec Grant at Certified Climate Control more highly!!!

He knows his craft and is very enthusiastic about his company and his people. After reviewing several proposals, I decided to hire Certified Climate Control to replace our heat pump and air handler. The installers were professional, hard working, and neat. The entire job was completed in six and one-half hours including the time to train us to use the new thermostat. I will continue to business with them.

I was shopping to have my a/c and heat pump replaced and came across Certified Climate Control on Angie's List. They were highly rated, so I contacted them with an inquiry via email. I got an automated email confirmation which promised that they'd contact me, but never heard anything else back from them. After a week or so of waiting, I ended up choosing another contractor. I paid a little over $6000 for the job, so I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a bid from Certified Climate Control to consider as one of my options.

Tech was professional and courteous, explained problems he found and suggested repairs. He found a coolant leak, topped it off and suggested some very expensive repairs, which we opted not to do. He indicated the leak could continue, but so far, no issues with cooling several months later.

CCC responded promptly with quality service and staff. I could not be more pleased with the product, the service, and the experience of working with CCC.

On the day of my call they showed up and gave me a decent price along with options to the unit I was looking for. Installation was prompt and professional. I will definitely use them again soon since I have another home in need of a new system soon.

The service went great. The guy was very nice. He also taught me a few things. Scheduling was very easy. I was happy with the service.

It was the best service I have ever experienced. From the moment I called Kristin at the office, to Greg coming out for inspection and quote, Lucky and his assistant installing the unit, professional attitude, punctuality ( even came before they were supposed to) which was great. Follow up inspection after installation by Greg. Sending me an affordable service contract that I can pay monthly, and calling to remind me of the service and when it was due. Mike was also great. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. I have recommended them to several friends and relatives and tell everyone I talk to. Thank you CERTIFIED CLIMATE CONTROL.

I moved into a new 3-level condo last fall, and then was not happy with heating when the weather turned cold. Certified Climate Control had a $49 Angie's List coupon, so that's all it cost for them to come out. They spent about 3 hours going over every detail of my system including air flow analysis to diagnose poor upstairs heating. They recommended a relatively inexpensive fix to a duct, but I postponed that work due to other home renovations that would interfere with their solution. Then, the heating stopped working entirely on all three levels two weeks later during the nationwide deep freeze. I was happy with their work the first time, so I called them again. This time they sent their service manager, who came out immediately and took only a few minutes to locate and show me exactly where a tiny Freon line had snapped due to repeated freeze/thaw cycling during the deep freeze. (I now had no Freon left in my system for the heat pump to work.) But since the emergency heat should have come on to help the heat pump, he then diagnosed and fixed why the emergency heat was not working properly, which was a combination of incorrect thermostat setup on when/how emergency heat turns on plus a separate incorrect choice by a prior owner to disable 2 out of 3 emergency heat stages. As soon as he fixed these setup errors the emergency came on full force to bring our condo up to a nice warm temperature. Then, going back to the Freon problem, he talked me out of repairing it -- even though his company does not sell or install new systems. Instead of spending $1,000+ on repair he said I'd be better off taking my time (now that emergency heat is working) to research the best company to install a new system, who would also routinely resolve the earlier airflow problem. He then refused to accept any payment for any of his work, even when I offered the nominal cost of their Angie's List coupon to diagnose problems. He said there is no charge for a second visit so soon after their first visit. Bottom line, I give this company an A+ rating.

I contacted them by email after purchasing a deal on this site. Jodi was courteous but said she could not find a record of my order. I called two days later and they still could not find my order. They called me back shortly thereafter and said they were able to locate the order. I was slightly concerned at this point. I set up an appointment for today and they gave me a time frame of 1-3pm. I received a call from Dan around 1:30 who gave me an ETA of 2:30. He showed up about 2:20 and was very polite. He spent about an hour servicing my unit and then went over all that he did afterward. I was pleased. He was quick to tell me what a deal I received by letting me know that they would normally have charged $40 more for the same services. I was pleased with that also. He then went over a small list of offers his company provides like service plans and surge protectors, etc. He was not pushy, but I would have preferred he just leave some information and be done. Instead, I had to initial that I was declining any of the extra services. Again, he was not pushy about it, but it was a bit awkward for me. Overall, it was worth it!

It worked out great. They did a very thorough job and we were very pleased with them. Each service took about an hour and a half. A friend also had it done and she said they took almost two hours working. That is very unusual. I am pretty sure we will use them again sometime in December. The price was excellent; they said they would honor that price too, each time we called them.

Jason did a wonderful job of explaining the tune up process. He did it in a very professional manner.

They were punctual and worked all day, even skipping lunch to get the job done in one day. Very professional, explained how to program and work the new thermostat. Showed me how to replace the filter. This was for a homepath renovation loan and the office staff prepared all the paperwork ( 20 pages) in a timely manner. I would recommend them, as I had gotten 3 bids and they came in the lowest for the same exact work. We are very satisfied with them.

In terms of being very prompt and getting back to me, they were fine. They came out and didn’t charge me anything extra. They said they did a couple of things to it and it was working fine. So in terms of that, it was fine. The problem is then 3 months later, my AC went out so I called them and told them that they said they certified that it was correct. They said they don’t guarantee any of that and if I got a problem with it, I just have to pay their standard service calls and everything. They are not honoring the fact that they did the work and so I thought that was very unprofessional. I got another contractor and they sent a contractor out and looked at it. They said my motor went and nobody could have actually gone in and looked at it because the screws are all rusted. So obviously the people for Certified Climate Control never actually did the work they said they were going to do or at least not all of it anyway because the guy told me that there’s no way they could have got in there and did what they said with the screws rusted were with the fans. They weren’t willing to come out and look at the work they just certified that it was fine and it was tuned up and there’s no problem. That was really unprofessional as far as I’m concerned.
