It went good. I'm very happy with what they did. I think they came on time.

We had had a problem with mold growing in our duct system. A firm charged us $900 to clean and sanitize the system, only to have the mold reappear in a month. We called Certified Climate control and they were out quickly. They found the mold and as I suspected suggested replacing the duct work completely. They not only replaced it, they rerouted the ducts to remove bends and added a second supply to one room to balance the system. They sanitized the air handler and sealed around the air return area. All the personnel were extremely polite and professional, they cleaned up afterwords. After they left they checked back to make sure everything was all right. We waited 4 months to see if the mold would come back, it has not. Not only that but the terrible noise we had in our bedroom when the furnace was on is gone. A result of rerouting the ducts and adjusting the heat pump correctly.

We have been using CCC for several years. They have always been great. Very professional, punctual and thorough. Our previous contracted (the BIG company that installed the HVAC for the builder) was in-and-out in 45 minutes for two units. CCC takes twice that time but the tech takes everything apart, cleans everything, uses digital thermometers to document temperatures, etc. The techs call 30 minutes before arrival (they are always on time) and they are all very professional and explain everything to you. They go over the areas your units are okay and go over potential problems down the road. There also seems to be an attention to detail (or professionalism) like the initial and date when they put a new air filter into our unit so we know how long each filter lasts. And--they do not automatically replace our $30 filters on each visit (like the old company did) but rather show each filter to me and then replace on an as needed basis. We have had to use their weekend service last year when our HVAC capacitor died on the July 4th weekend. They were great, on time and effected the repairs without an outrageous weekend or after hour charge (we do subscribe to a maintenance plan). Overall they are very well managed and I am very happy with their service.

CCC made the whole process very smooth. They scheduled the installation and follow-up inspection and were always on time. They also pulled the permit and coordinated the city inspector check. Kevin and Johnathan were exceptionally professional. They explained in layman's terms the installation process and any issue that arose. They used drop clothes and cleaned up after they finished.

Our unit died; it was 13 years old. For the last several years CCC had been doing our annual maintenance on it (Thanks Angie's List). They've always been prompt, courteous and HONEST, not selling us something we didn't need or something that would waste our money on an old unit. So, when our unit died the choice for who would be replacing it was obvious. Greg White, the General Manager inspected our equipment and duct work. He took photos of any problems in the attic to show us, showing us what could be re-used, what needed to be replaced. He gave us numerous options as to the efficiency of the units and the rebates that coincided with them. The rebates were from the manufacturers and Duke Energy. The Angie?s List discount was proportionally larger for the costlier units. Armed with some knowledge gleaned from a church friend that does commercial A/C work I realized quickly that Mr. White wasn?t trying to sell me what we didn?t need. For our 1225sq. ft. house we chose a 17.5 SEER unit with a heat pump. (The heat pump now makes the heat strips the backup heater.) A new slab replaced the now too small one from the previous outside portion. The air handler is in the attic. All work was permitted and done in one day. The only downside to all of this was that once it was finished there is no evidence that what you spent your money on is doing anything, other than the new digital thermostat on the wall. Ah, such is life. The "B" price is not a complaint; we are pretty normal people and want everything for next to nothing. We are very happy with the sales and service and will continue to use CCC for our maintenance.

I had done my homework and buying an AC/heating unit is so expensive that I decided to join Angie's List.I picked this business because of the great ratings and many customers. They exceeded my hopes . Everyone associated with the company was friendly and professional and punctual. The bid was lower than 3 I already had and we upgraded from the 14 seer required to 15 seer. The estimate included a rebate from DUKE that paid the difference in costs. The job quote inlcuded permitting and registering our warranty. The boss came out and checked everything the crew had done. The crew cleaned up very well. We are very happy and will use Cert. Climate Control for all our AC needs in the future. So glad I joined Angie's list.We even got a discount as a member.

Representative was punctual and extremely thorough. He explained what he was doing and what was wrong. Unit was low 2lbs of freon which he added, recommended that I get a quote for a new unit as mine was in its last legs.

The Certified Climate Control technician Billy was very professional and thorough. He spoke with me about the work he performed and he took the time to review/discuss his system evaluation of our A/C unit after the repair and tune-up were complete. He also provided recommendations and gave me price quotes on those. I was beyond pleased and impressed with the technician. ADD'L NOTES: I've had several dealings with Certified before and in all but one instance (miscommunication issue) I've been very impressed by how professional the company is. I recently had the opportunity to personally speak with Greg White the general manager of Certified when he came to my home. He is a true professional and he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers. I plan to continue to do business with Certified in the future.

Full AC tune up on units - service tech was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Will definitely be using again

They replaced my inop system with a more energy efficient unit (3 ton, 16 SEER). I gathered 3 quotes before going with Certified Climate Control. Their quote was in the middle but the cheapest of the three companies never answered their phone and were late for the estimate. Certified Climate Control always answered the phone and were punctual when doing the estimate and the replacement. They guided me through the (city) permit and inspection. From the girl who answered the phone to the installer it was a great experience.

We had an intermittent problem with the system in that the heat mode would stay on indefinitely. We had come back to the house after being away for 48 hours and found both thermostats read 99 degrees and the heat was being pumped into the house from the air conditioner / heat pump unit. After investigation, the technician from Certified determined that the problem was due to loose wiring at the ZONE CONTROL unit. While working on the unit, he also determined that some of the wiring had been done incorrectly. He rectified the wiring faults and ensured that all connections were secure. He then tested the system in all modes to ensure proper operation. He wore shoe covers whenever he came into the house to ensure he did not track dirt into the house. Very considerate. He explained in detail what he was doing, what problems he found and how he proposed to resolve the problem. He also quoted a price that I thought was reasonable for the time he estimated it would take to complete the work.

I was given a two hour time frame when to expect the service technician and he arrived when promised. He also gave me a call when he was 30 minutes away to let me know that he was on his way. Billy, the technician quicky diagnosed that the system had lost most of the coolant. He charged the system with Nitrogen and was able to find the leak in no time . After explaining the potential cost, he offered to complete the repair. He was able to repair the leak and recharge the system and test its operation. He also taped down some insulation that had come loose from the access panels and checked out the entire system. I am extremely please with the professonalisim and care that the tech provided. I will be having this company service my AC system on a regular basis.

It went well. The inspector was on time, polite, friendly and professional. He was quiet and didn't disrupt anything in the house. He answered all our questions knowledgeably.

My brother-in-law referred Certified Climate Control to me & checked them out on Angie's List when I was looking to have my 1-1/2 year old ac unit checked out/tune up because I had noticed cycling on/off frequently. So I gave them a call & spoke with Kelley who was very nice & upbeat. She scheduled me & within 2 days had a tech at my house. Paul (tech) in my opinion did a thorough tune up & diagnostics which revealed my problem was a clogged drain line that was causing the frequent on/off cycling. Paul attempted to unclog drain line & could not get it open. Everything else with ac unit was given a clean bill of health, cost $49, cheap in my opinion. Paul gave me my options that they could come back out & blow the line out & that would cost $179 or I could do it myself. Naturally I tried myself unsuccessfully, so I called & spoke with Kelley who scheduled Charles (tech) to blow the line out at the quoted price of $179. Charles came & proceeded to clear the line by blowing it out & the drain line was free & clear. However, Charles noticed the drain line running from the pan located underneath the coils was not properly installed & proceeded to correct it. So now comes the time to pay the bill, cost for unclogging drain line $59 not $179 as quoted. Total cost $108 for ac tune up/diagnostics, unclog drain, & correct drain line. Kelley, Paul, & Charles were all very professional, honest, & very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend Certified Climate Control.

It worked out okay. I spent $10 more. He seemed like he knew his stuff. But at the same time, we still had some issues with the A/C not keeping up with the temperature. My interactions with them were fine. I just wasn't quite happy with the outcome with my A/C.

Good job with a detailed check-off list and gave "grades" on various systems. He went over the list. There was not pressure to do any immediate repairs and he noted that most of the repairs could wait. However, I decided to do two of the cheaper repairs which he promptly did.

He was not able to find the problem, but the issue returned a couple months later. I went to a competitor for a second time (second opinion) go around and it turned out that my water drainage line was clogged. He showed me all that had collected in the pipe and had blocked the drainage. I believe this was the problem the first time, but it was less severe then to be able to eyeball it on the first check. Shouldn't that be a default checking point for an AC repair person? He did not check this for me or at the very least offer to do a clean out as a precautionary measure. By not getting this corrected the first time around, I had a major water backup and it flooded water down to the bottom floor (AC upstairs). My excess water trip wire didn't trigger so the AC unit kept going. Seems like a good company, just for some reason they missed it on this call.

They changed a capacitor and a whole bunch of other stuff. They could have been a little more informative on what they were doing and why they needed to make changes. They were a little unkempt in terms of we have carpet on our second floor and they didn't remove their shoes when they were going in and out of the house. I thought the pricing was fair considering what they did.

Excellent service provided by the representative Josh. He was punctual, answered all our questions patiently and did a very thorough job with the A/C. There was no pressure to upsell other services and he gave very honest and open advice about future maintenance. We are very happy as first-time Angie's list users, and would definitely use Climate Control in the future for our A/C needs.
