From the beginning of my dealings with Dean, I made a point to emphasize that there was a specific deadline involved, by noon on Friday. (Due to the fact that our stucco person who was going to be doing the trim, was leaving town, and would not be able to return to the job site at a later date). There was no leeway on this deadline. After many calls, we never did reach him. He missed the deadline by a week. Unfortunately for us, the application of the foam trim was included in the price of the stucco job that we had sub-contacted. That worker needs to and should be adequately compensated according to the deal we made with him. So, when Hollywood Foam did not meet the deadline that we both agreed upon before making the deal official, he cost me money. Dean should not have taken my check, nor cashed it, if he could not make good on his word to have the product ready on time. I would have found a different alternative. Three weeks from the original deadline, Dean came out and did an installation at a reduced price. Although we are paying a few hundred dollars more, he did a good installation and we are happy with the final product. Even though the project took longer than we had anticipated, his responsiveness to make it right made up for it.
