In June 2024, a Pest Bear sales representative visited my home, passionately requesting a chance to prove their service quality. I was upfront about my dissatisfaction with previous experiences with Massey and TruGreen, companies that failed to deliver on their promises of lawn care and left me with subpar results. Despite these experiences, I decided to take a chance on Pest Bear, largely because their representative confidently stated, "Give me four months, and your grass will look great." As part of this commitment, Pest Bear agreed to cover the cost of a soil sample for an area where I had lost two palm trees, promising the results within 30 days. A technician was scheduled to collect the sample the following week. Unfortunately, my experience with Pest Bear quickly began to mirror the frustrations I had with prior services. Despite raising concerns about the condition of my lawn, which seemed to deteriorate further under their care, and repeated assurances from their service manager, no actionable improvements were delivered. The soil sample was not submitted until September, months after the initial agreement. In response to my concerns, the manager reassigned my service to an experienced technician, who assured me of a plan to address the issues, including applying fertilizer in early November. I emphasized the importance of completing the work before I began setting up a large Christmas light display by mid-November. However, as of December 9, 2024, there has been no follow-up, no results from the soil sample, and no application of the promised fertilizer. Having researched St. Augustine grass care, I know that soil pH is critical for its health. Despite sharing this information and citing reputable sources, the promised corrective actions were never implemented. Calls to Pest Bear's headquarters yielded apologies but no real resolution. When I requested escalation to senior leadership, I was instead redirected back to the same manager who had consistently failed to deliver on his promises, demonstrating a lack of accountability and customer focus. Pest Bear markets itself as a company dedicated to customer satisfaction, emphasizing effective, reliable solutions and professional service. Unfortunately, my experience reveals a stark contrast between their advertising claims and actual service delivery. The persistent failure to follow through, coupled with unfulfilled promises, leaves me deeply dissatisfied. While Pest Bear may have the potential to offer effective solutions, my experience reflects a need for significant improvement in operational accountability, communication, and customer care.

They come out every other month. I have some weeds that are popping up. I'm considering changing companies. They need to do a better job getting rid of weeds. I don't see them when they come. They stick a sign in the yard and go. I'm not real happy with them right now, but I'm going to call them and see what they will do for me.
Description of Work: Sprayed the lawn for pests and fertilized.

Worst part is I'm developing weeds that shouldn't be there. Best part is price. But I guess you get what you pay for.
