The project took over two years from start to finish. That should tell you everything. The quality of work and personnel they used were great. However, they were never working and contacting them was unbelievably difficult. Our constant inquiries regarding when work would be performed were met with promises that were never followed through on. The only time they were semi-responsive is at the time they wanted payment. Unfortunately, they failed to pay several subcontractors that left me having to pay some invoices twice to avoid foreclosure. I guess I only have myself to blame but you would like to be able to trust people especially for this size of a project. Unfortunately, my experience is that this company is not trustworthy. In fact, it seemed like they were using the money we paid them to pay other subcontracotrs on other jobs. Ryan Hughes constantly indicated things would be done and never followed through with them. In order to move the project along, I purchased supplies and spoke with subcontractors. After 18 months of being in construction, I thought that I had provided them enough time to complete the work. The empty promises and excuses were starting to get ridiculous. Again, the overall quality of the workmanship was great. The design was just what we wanted but having subcontractors only work on weekends or every two or three weeks on a project this size and expense was unacceptable. I would not recommend this company. I would be afraid that any jobs involvong these individuals would result in them taking your money to pay off debts they have rather than performing work for you.

It went very slow. The project took 6 weeks, rather than 2-3 weeks. We had to constantly watch the work and make sure they were doing what was requested. There were many days they didn't come and I had to call. The salesman, Andrew, was good, but didn't feel the project manager did a very good job. One of the reasons we picked them was to manage the project, so we didn't have to. I had to stay on top of them. We've also had trouble with a subcontractors not getting paid. This is still not resolved. We had high hopes to do additional work with them, but that didn't seem to phase them or make them work quickly to resolve our issues. The only time they reacted was when it was time for us to pay them. I also wouldn't rehire them because I'm afraid my deposit will go to pay someone else's outstanding bills. Our pool looks great, but just don't think I can recommend this company since they are not very organized and really don't think they will be around very long.

OUTSTANDING!!!! I spent hours trying to find the right company to execute what I wanted to invest in our backyard. New from Atlanta, I found OutdoorNation on the Internet after running into every possible problem with other landscape businesses: contractors who didn't do design work, contractors who showed up to give an estimate then disappeared, contractors who cancelled at the last minute, and contractors who would not travel from Tampa to St. Petersburg. I found the entire organization of OutdoorNation to be knowledgeable, responsive, professional, timely and set a standard for themselves that equals that of their clients. As the designer, Ryan was receptive to my wish list and worked within my budget. During implementation, the project manager consistently sought my feedback to insure the end result would meet my expectations. I was most impressed at the final walk through when Ryan addressed a couple changes to the design plan by adding more plantings and didn't charge me any more than was originally stated on their contract. They spent hours making certain the sprinklers ran correctly. Six weeks have past since the work has been completed and the result is beautiful. I can't say enough good things about the experience and I look forward to working with them again in the future.
