THE EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND COSTLY

Examined the granular lawn application after the technician left the property. The company did not treat the entire lawn and I canceled the service. I am going to fertilize my own lawn. It's the only way to ensure it is properly done.

We fired ChemLawn because even though we have a sprinkler system and have taken very good care our our lawn, it has been destroyed by chinch bugs. It took us more than 6 months to stop receiving applications from ChemLawn even though we had fired them 5 times over the phone and once by mail. Ray, a phone solicitor for Leisure Lawn talked us into trying their solid fertilizer and chinch bug service. We told him about our terrible experience with ChemLawn. He assured us that Leisure Lawn was a completely independent company. We agreed on a month-by-month basis. Today a ChemLawn Truck showed up and started spraying our lawn. When we complained the driver knew nothing about this. We called our sales rep and a few minutes later the technician received a call. He put his sprayer away and pulled out a spreader and solid fertilizer from his ChemLawn truck. We immediately called the sales rep back and told him to cancel our service, which he said he did. However, when we phoned the toll free number, the operator said that we were enrolled for a year's contract and that no cancellation had been submitted. The operator called the sales rep, Ray, directly and got a cancellation number to verify that our contract has been canceled. Meantime, we've had a lawn treatment from a company that we did not want to ever do business with again. The Leisure Lawn sales rep denied any relationship with ChemLawn, stating they are completely independent and have their own trucks.
