Generx Generators

When a hurricane hits, we are on our own, and that is the sad reality! My generator ran for a while and broke down. I called at least six companies, and NO ONE answered the phone, so people trashing this company are not being fair. All generator companies are overwhelmed right now. Generex was the 1st company to call me back. Tim took his time and thoroughly explained everything that went wrong. He explained how he was fixing the issue, leaving me feeling confident that the issue was resolved. I know what to look for in the future and how to avoid this from happening again. Thank you, TIM!!!

This company is too big and is not able to deliver responsive customer service. They do not believe in you calling to talk to a live human to schedule appointments which is extremely frustrating as a customer. The company also has zero capacity to respond during a major event such as a hurricane. While we all have families and empathize with the impacts hurricanes have on our community, you cant have 50% of your staff evacuate and then take 36 hours to set yourself up to respond to the emergency created by a hurricane. Their only business is generators when the storm is coming you need extra resources to be able to respond to help you customers as soon as the storm passes. What would happen if our brave first responders, doctors, emts, and utility lineman all evacuated the area when it is in the path of the storm? Utilities bring in resources ahead of time and house them in safe locations to be able to respond as soon as the storm clears. If they did not prepare we would all still be sitting in the dark. Storms are the reasons people by generators in a place like Florida. To not be prepared to support your customers post storm when your business is only generators is malpractice. Do yourself a favor and hire a smaller local company with better service. Bigger is not always better and being the national largest undisputed generator dealer as Generex claims dose not equate to quality customer service. I also would recommend buying a brand other than Generac if you are in the market for a generator. They are great at marketing but the quality of their product is not there.

Years ago, someone told me The most important part of a home generator is being able to get service They did everything: pulled permits, installed the generator, installed the electrical change over panel, and provide annual preventative maintenance. They are 5 Star!

When the job was completed, every screw, bolt and nut and been replaced in their original location. It was obvious that Rick had performed this procedure before, but Erica was right alongside him working diligently and confidently as well. Since I am a strong advocate of team relationships, it was a pleasure seeing the two of them working together harmoniously. Please forward this note to your top management as I we, as customers, were most satisfied with the professionalism the three of you displayed as you worked through this unusual situation. I cannot even give them 1 star. WE were promised the world before and during installation, last June. Now in March, the generator failed during a power outage. Everyone else had power in 3 hrs, I did not for 2 days because of an issue with the generator. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK TO ON THE PHONE. You must fill out a service ticket and they may come by in the next 3 days! Furthermore, they show up, ordered parts and never updated or told me anything. Almost a week later and no communication whatsoever. If we wanted emergency service it would cost almost $300.00 They dont belong to BBB. Stay away from this company and use a reputable installer. Please check all reviews before living thru my nightmare.

Lightning hit the generator in 2022 and it took about six months to get the new part. Unfortunately the replacement part had to come from China - a good reason to purchase equipment made in the U.S.A.

Very professional outfit. Installation is excellent and included a cleanup. The generator works perfectly and I have had absolutely no problems but enjoyed the peace of mind when it came on while the electricity was down. Iâ ve contacted the agent a year after the sale and installation and he was still able to help me with questions. Highly recommend this firm.

I asked the company to come to my house to do maintenance on my generator. Eduardo came, serviced the generator and answered all (and there were plenty) questions I had. He was very patient with me and now I now, how to actually handle the generator. He did a great job and was so very pleasant. I would and will absolutely recommend this company and will be calling them if I ever need help with my generator. Thank you so much!

Received bids from both Lowes & GenerX. The field engineer, Rob, from Generx was very knowledgeable & personable. He came up with a very good solution to our unusually shaped yard. The Lowes representative, while personable, didn't even realize that the location that they were suggesting the generator be installed on would have been against building codes in Hillsborough county. Both the team that ran the lines and the team that connected the gas & electric were really great. They cared about what they were doing and did a professional job. The generator was delivered, installed, and passed inspection in less than two weeks. It was a good experience for an expensive purchase.

Great service, very knowledgeable and professional. On time and excellent at explaining issues and repair.

Installed today. Impressive professional team, both at my home and in their office. They got the install done in four hours, including my tutorial. GenerX has some of the friendliest, most responsive people I've ever dealt with. I may never need a backup generator, but with all of the potential threats to our electrical grid, having it is a secure feeling and adds value to my home.

Unit had issues that required several updates that took a few months to get fixed. They were good and followed up but it was frustrating to have a new unit that needed replacement parts due to factory error

Professional efficient and prompt. The team was great all the way from sales to installation wanst an easy task as the county started putting the permit through crazy.needs but in the end they got it approved. The install team were the best operating team I have seen in a long time they all had they own role and did it well. I will definitely suggest them to any of my friends and family looking for a generator.
