Gale Insulation

We had them install gutters at our old house so we hired them again when we moved. They installed the gutters but failed to water test them. They are have been back once to rehang them and they are still leading causing damage to our landscaping. We have emailed and called but cannot seem to get them to return promptly to repair the work they have been paid in full for since July. Disappointed on the follow through....

We have a 1pm appointment. Rep shows up an hour and a half later. He was supposed to call when on the way since I have dogs that need to be put away. No call, he knocks instead even after reading the blatant sign on the door that says "Don't knock, we have dogs." - I do not answer the door since I have a conference call that I already pushed back assuming this was a professional company and they were going to show up on time. He calls and when I ask why he wasn't there at 1pm he said they go the time mixed up and it was 1:30pm on their sheet. I said it's 2:30 so even by your error, you're still an hour late. He thought that was ok since he assumed he could get in the backyard if we weren't here. He said he would come back later in the week. This company was recommended by a friend, but I would not use them strictly from the lack of courtesy to either show up on time or at least have the respect and decency to call a potential customer and tell me you are running late.

The initial contact and work was done extremely fast and the price was reasonable. We used a certificate from TECO to offset $200 and paid the remainder. After the work was completed they collected the certificate. Fast forward 6 weeks and we get a call from Gale stating that we own them $200.00!!! They had no records of the TECO certificate. We explained that the certificate was handed over to their employee when the work was completed. 2 weeks later we get a letter from a collection agency stating that we owed $200.00 We contacted TECO and they confirmed that Gale Insulation had indeed cashed in the certificate 2 weeks after the work was completed. Repeated calls to Gale were not returned. Its a shame that the good experience with by their installation team has turned sour by the atrocious behavior of their Account department.

I received a credit from TECO for $200 to install insulation in my attic. I called several companies on TECO's list and Gale insulation was the only one to actually call me back and schedule/keep an appointment. They arrived on time and completed the job in about 30 minutes. The techs were very friendly and explained everything they did. My attic space it tiny, but they were still able to crawl around up there and get everything done well. With the TECO credit the out of pocket cost was only $200.

Simple process. Gale gave me a price quote over the phone based on my square footage of my attic that I provided. I paid 1/2 down and they provided an install date/time. The installers arrive at the very beginning of their time window. They were both very friendly and professional. They were efficient for sure. They quickly had the blow tube running into my front door, up my stairs, and into my attic. The whole process took 20-30 minutes. When they were done they handed me a flashlight and let me take a look in the attic. Everything was perfect.

Their price and the expediency of getting it done stood out.

Gale insulation was recommended to me And they are on Duke Energy's provider list. The workers were on time and very friendly. They completed the job in about a half hour and said they didn't see anything in regards to the duct work that needed attention. I would recommend this company..

They came out really quickly; within a couple of days after I called them. They weren't going to be able to come out until the next week, but they had a cancellation. I thought it was going to be a mess, but it wasn't. They did a good job. The price was competitive with everyone else. I went up in the attic and everything looked fine. He told me he was going to put about 8 inches of insulation in, and it was 8 inches or more. I haven't had it through the Summer yet, so I'm not sure what my electric bill will be.

The experience was excellent. They were very good all around. They were professional, clean and neat. They knew what they were doing from the beginning to the end. I will definitely call them again.

Donn Ruppert, and company agents, were excellent at communication, punctuality, and showing strong interest in working with us. He weighed all options, discussed relative costs and trade-offs, and explained estimated lead time before project completion. Our personal timeline was the only thing that held us back from employing this company.

The work was fine, they did everything as quoted and showed up on time.

Holy cow this company was great. We went through the electric company to get blown-in insulation in our attic and their standard contractor was Gale. The contractors came out on time, took just 30 minutes to blow insulation in the whole attic, and cleaned up after themselves. But the kicker was this -- The electric company offered a $100 rebate for having the work done, but was late getting us the certificate, too late to hand over to the guys at the house. When the certificate did arrive days later, I called Gale and asked if they could cut me a check even though the certificate was late. "Sure," they said. I was doubtful, but after mailing them the certificate, I got a company check from Gale for $100 -- something they really didn't need to do. And our house is sooo much more comfortable, the AC works better and we're hoping the heat does in the winter too.

I called Gale Insulation in the morning and received a quote that afternoon. On the appointed day the field representative and crew of 2 arrived promptly. They determined the least disruptive route to run the blower hose and completed the job in about 30 minutes. They cleaned up afterwards although there was very little mess.
