I'm very happy with them. It went perfectly fine. They order a part it was rather late getting late but it was here so I have no complaints. It was a reasonable price.

I always ask for one specific tech when I call them, because I've had good and bad experiences with them. The guy that came out is excellent, love him. His name is Scot, he does a great job every time, honest, I feel like I can trust him. If he tells me something is broken then I know it is actually broken. We had someone from the same company come out, took the panel off one of our A/C units, pulled the transformer out, and told us we needed a whole new system and quoted me about $600-800. So I had them send Scot over and it turned out to be just the transformer for $100 bucks.

They were prompt, polite and cleaned up all work results when finished. PLEASE SPELL MY NAME RIGHT - IT IS SARA

Curt is a total professional. He went through all of his diagnostic procedures and ended up in the attic (hot place and cramped) only find spaghetti for wiring and that this is where the problem was. Yeah. Curt fixed it and was on his way. Good job Curt.

They were prompt and very thorough. Very professional. Came into the house. He knew his business. He checked out to see if there was anything else that needed attention while he was here. The system worked before he left. I would highly recommend him.

He was really good. They did a very good job, they tried one thing, and he couldn't fix it, and then they had to get the whole control thing, and they got that, and it is fine now. They were very competent. I would certainly use them again.

We have had 3 prior AC companies come do service on our unit. Each one giving different reasons for issues and expenses. (We have spent around $1500 so far on our Condenser/capacitor. This technician located the cause of most of our issues that we have spent hundreds, almost a $1000 on. A loose wire that overheated and melted a variety of things. Seriously, don't mess around with any other (even Angies List A rated) companies. Use Air Dr.

The technician arrived on time and began the installation process. During the installation of the humidistat, the thermostat quit working. The tech felt horrible that the thermostat had to be replaced as well. It was the original thermostat and it was just one of those things. The tech told me what the usual price of installation would be but stated he would not charge me that rate. When I was presented with the final bill I was very surprised, but pleased with the total. I was only charged for the price of the thermostat cost and the humidistat costs as quoted. I appreciated this gesture of excellent customer service. I will use this company again!

Technician came out to perform PM/tune ups on 2 HVAC systems w/heat pumps. Told me one system required upgrade because of leaks, which another HVAC provider confirmed did not exist on the following day. This other provider said that the tune ups were not performed. Tried to sell me a new heat pump but told me not to use the sales people @ Air Doctor who would charge me a lot more than he would. Tried to sell me 2 more UV lights @ $700/each for each system. Told me the one that I had in each system was in the wrong place, both were installed by Air Doctor in 2010. His service manager later told me that they were not in the wrong place but did not make promised follow up phone call. I believe that this was an attempt to sell me a product that I didn't need, and the company has done nothing to rectify after I complained in a fax to the company. 4/27/13 I will do a final analysis after the follow up service.

This company is used by our home warranty company, so we figured they must be OK. We called them out for a routine spring service call. Our unit was 22 years old and the technician recommended that we replace it rather than spend the money cleaning it and described in detail what was involved. . He gave us prices and descriptions of different heat pumps and didn't pressure us to buy anything. We decided on the mid-priced one and they installed it within a few days. The entire experience was a pleasant one and now we don't have to worry about our unit failing in the middle of the summer. Their technician Scott was knowledgeable and very patient while we made up our minds. The office staff was pleasant to deal with in spite of it being their busiest time of the year. I'd recommend them highly.

Very horrible experience. It is still not resolved. Both the company and AHS are saying that they are not responsible and have not reimbursed me a penny for the job that was completed by another, more reputable company.

Vince did a great job on the install and service set-up. I found both Vince, and the company overall, very professional and friendly. Everything from the install to the final details we are very pleased with. I did not appreciate the high pressure, fast talking sales approach of an individual with this company. I did not buy because of his "pitch", but fact-checked his info with consumer reports regarding the American Standard equipment. This was the only dissatisfying part of our experience with the Air Doctors. I didn't find the need to have one person reflect poorly on my evaluation when overall I am very satisfied with my experience with this company. I hadn't previously heard of the Air Doctor's, but it is the company that our home warranty company (American Home Shield) uses. Then I checked on Angie's list and the reviews were for the most part positive. The real proof of the efficiency of the American Standard equipment will come this summer with our FLA summer heat.

They were hardworking. They came out when we had questions. They came out later to help us with the thermostat. The staff was very nice. Their price was high.

First, I must clarify that Air Doctor fixed our unit under our home warranty with American Home Shield, so price may not be relevant to this review. Jack showed up on time and was informative and polite. He walked through what he was doing so that I had a basic understanding. After testing the unit, it was determined that an evaporator coil sensor had failed which controlled the amount of freon flowing through the system. Jack wrote everything up and put in for the part. He then set the system up to work until the part could be replaced. Two business days later, he returned and had it installed in a few minutes. He then took the time to re-test everything to make sure that the problem was solved. I then got a little extra tutorial on how to self-diagnose some of the issues that may occur with my a/c. I have to say I often have mediocre experiences with a/c repair companies under my home warranty. However, Air Doctor stood out above the rest. Ask for Jack if you have a chance. He had the troubleshooting manual for my TRANE system on his truck!

They gave us a ten years parts and labor warranty. The price was very competitive. They were very professional and good and service.

This was a service call arranged by American Home Shield (warranty company). I have an older unit and have had it serviced AND maintained by various companies in the past. I had no expectations of greatness and THAT'S why I decided to write this review. In short, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the entire experience. I wasn't made to feel as though I was at fault somehow, nor was I pressured into purchasing a new unit. Curt, the area manager, came out and was most apologetic for being unavoidably detained (this is the ONLY reason I had to give a "B" for punctuality - in the interest of accuracy, technically speaking, but in fairness, I DID get a call advising me of the delay). After assessing the problem, he went ahead and fixed it and gave me tips on maintenance and my options, in the event that the same problem comes up again. I'm one to say it like it is. If I was unhappy, I wouldn't hesitate to give appropriate feedback. After all, that's the whole point of Angie's List. Due to the professional manner in which I was treated and for the "straight talk" as opposed to an anticipated strong arm sales pitch, I recommend Air Doctor Air Conditioning and Heating HIGHLY!!

Jim & his team gave me excellent advice & terrific service from start to finish. I was rehab'ing a Victorian house built in 1905 & the project turned out to be far beyond my skill level. Jim made sure that I understood his recommendations & assisted me in coordinating the trades that affected the HVAC system installation. Recently, he came out to assess my own HVAC & again spent a great deal of time explaining how it works & how to set it to get the best results from the unit. I felt like he really cares about me & my family & our welfare.

They tried to sell my elderly mother an $1800 air handler when all that was wrong, was that the drain line needed to be blown out. This should have been a routine service call for a routine situation. They did a bait and switch on her. I canceled the contract when I found out about it and called a reputable company to services the unit that day. The second company verified that I was correct.

The first time they came out they cleaned the mold out of our air ducts and installed a fluorescent light. Then they came out a few months later and told us we had mold back in the system. I told them they had just cleaned it a couple of months ago, but they just told me the treatment must have been ineffective. So then we are paying $2000 for a new system, which they installed without a permit. The new unit failed inspection, which was because of a minor problem, but I had to keep calling them to come out and do the work. To make things worse, the light they sold us to keep the mold out was left out of the new unit until the unit passed inspection, but they wouldn't do what was necessary to get it to pass inspection. Also we had paid for a service agreement that was part of the installation, where they are supposed to come out 6 months, and they have yet to come out. Over the years I have spent thousands with them over the years and they have not given me any credit for the terrible work they did. I had someone from the county do inspection twice, which they failed, and they wouldn't even call the county to find out why they failed. I guess they just gave up on the job and moved on, which is terrible considering I've been a customer of theirs for 4 or 5 years.

The office manager was very disrespectful, condescending and his tone towards us when trying to gather information from them for the home warranty company was very poor! We needed Air Doctor to give information to our warranty company to get authorization to proceed with the repairs. We ended up going with another A/C company on our own and out of pocket. The office man called us back a week later to ask if we still needed his service, acting like he didn't treat us any different than he would treat anyone else. Very disrespectful!

They had to come out 3 times to fix it. The installation was not done properly initially and this has been the cause for the problems. They have been responsive in addressing the problem.

The man was one hour and ten minutes late. The literature he handed me was pretty useless. I told him to mail me the estimate.

Price was not an object because it was under a home warranty. They detected the problem right away and took care of things immediately. Good overall.
