+ -1 moreIt started out fine, but ended horribly. Justin told us numerous times that we did not need to pull a permit because it was not higher than 30 inches and was not connected to the house . Needless to say It is connected to the house and we do need a permit according to the building inspector. Now Justin is going back telling us that we were responsible as homeowners to pull the permit! We have numerous text from him telling us that we were not required to pull it. We trusted what he said and now its a mess not to mention the left over wood he left in the middle of the yard
Description of Work: Free Land Handyman came in and built a deck for us. They told us that we did not need a permit. After building it we found out from the building inspector that we do need one. The extra cost is in the thousands because we need a structural engineer to draw the design and, sign off on the deck. In addition they left wood in the middle of my 82 years old mothers yard and when we asked them to come and move it, they told us it would be two weeks because they were on another job. Very disappointing.
