IT took almost a month to get a quote and when it did come back, it was $16,000 over two other estimates. Neither included appliances, electrical nor plumbing so the estimate should be similar. I was stunned to see a charge of $2577.00 for a Project Manager added to the quote. What?? I have done remodels over the years in a couple of homes and have NEVER seen this! I will take my hard earned money elsewhere!!

Let me note up front that the company gave me a partial refund of about 10% of the original costs because of the problems encountered. The finished product is adequate. However, from the first day of demolition until project completion was 22 weeks. There were a total of four weeks that the job site was not available due to travel we had scheduled long before the contract was signed. The first travel did not begin until 8 weeks after job start and other three weeks of travel were spaced out over the next 4 weeks. Below is more detail of my experience. The scope of work included demolition of the current bath, a ‘tub to shower’ conversion, construct wall to separate the vanity from the toilet/shower area, new drywall, install tile, cabinets, granite tops and three pocket doors. Move plumbing to new vanity and placement of outlets and lights. The lower overall rating is due to the poor communication, lack of timeliness, and some work had to be redone because it wasn’t completed correctly the first time. There were materials ordered two months before work began and we were advised 14 weeks into the project that our materials were no longer available. COMMUNICATION: Throughout the process I had to answer questions that a superintendent should be asked, or information that should have been provided to the workers before they arrived on the job site. I’ve had to detail what size cabinets were going to be installed, where lighting goes and even where the new wall would be placed even though this was in the design drawings. My wife said it was good that I had some knowledge of construction since she would not have been able to answer the questions if I wasn’t here. The person that handles payments contacted me 18 weeks into the project to collect final payment. She was told the job was complete. I told her that I would not pay since we had no countertops, no glass for the shower, one door was not on site, no trim carpentry and the plumbing and electric was not connected. The first week of April, we met with the designer and selected materials. We were told that the job would not start until all materials were received to avoid delays due to delivery problems. Work did not begin until the middle of June. TIMELINESS: The first four weeks of work, there were workers on site for a total of seven days. In week 2 a ‘problem’ was identified with the existing drain lines and current code requirements. It took about 3 weeks for resolution. After 8 weeks we had some personal travel scheduled long before the renovation work was started which made to worksite unavailable. When the work started, we were told our travel plans would not be a problem since the work would either be finished by that time or almost complete. We never received a schedule or anything that would let us know what would be happening next. I was promised, on several occasions, a schedule, not of dates, but a ‘timeline’ of what actions would be happening next but I never received anything. We would get text messages of who or what trade would be showing up the next day but that was sporadic and sometimes we would have workers arrive unexpectedly. We would ask the workers on site if they would be returning the following day but they said they never know what they’ll be doing until the start of a work day. Once drywall was hung, in week 14 of construction, tiles and associated materials were delivered. Based on the contract, with that delivery a payment was due. I noted to the delivery person that some tiles were missing, he stated that it must have been delayed by weather. I contacted the designer since she was the one that said materials had to be in place before work would begin. She advised that the tiles selected was discontinued. That ‘set me off’ and I expressed my frustrations. That resulted in a visit and apologies from the company owner who then issued a courtesy credit. WORK REDONE: When the ‘tile guy’ came out he was unable to begin work because the wall boards were not hung correctly. He had to hang new wall board before he could place the tiles. There were problems with the drywall that I had to identify and have those areas re-worked. At the plumbing trim out, we found that the supplier of the bath fixtures (Hydrologic, vender of choice from Yeager) failed to identify all parts required. The plumber did not have the materials required to complete the job. Also, the pipes to the sinks had been pushed out of alignment by the drywall installation and the drain pipes sloped the wrong way. The cabinet and drywall had to be cut to correct. The vendor that supplied the granite counter tops, Elegant Touch Stonework (vendor of choice from Yeager), had a very limited selection. I’ve had granite installed at a home in Tampa and the vendor I used at over four times the selection available as the vendor selected for this project. Once installed, the granite did not shine like other granite in our home. Elegant Touch Stonework advised that the granite we selected, by nature, did not have a high shine. Unfortunately, the sales person did not provide that information when we were making our selection. COSTS: The estimate and contract included ‘line item’ costs for granite tops and shower glass. The glass was low by $200. The additional costs were added to the final billing. The glass was one fixed pane and a hinged door in a tub to shower conversion so not oversized. We were advised up-front that these items were estimates and additional costs was possible. With the volume of work they do, estimates should be closer to the actual costs. SUMMARY: We were told by the designer, the contractor and the company owner the problems experienced were not normal or how they do business. Earlier reviews for the company are positive which was a factor in choosing them to do the work. Caveat Emptor!

Yeager Flooring was so professional. The quality of the product and the install far exceeded my expectations. They were great to work with, and even when I threw in a last minute change, they exceeded those expectations too and got it done. The owner, the office staff, and crews were all the best.

We used Yeager and Company to do renovation work to our house, as well as repair water damage. They did a great job and were extremely conscientious and clean. They took care of our home. Haven Talley and Melanie Carter, who helped us design and manage the project, did a great job and were excellent to work with. Haven’s communication, responsiveness and upbeat attitude made the process go very well. We would highly recommend using Yeager, especially Haven and Melanie, for the design work. Jim Yeager, the owner, has great integrity and delivered on everything that he said.

Yeager Flooring is the best contractor/ local business I have ever hired. Everyone from the office, to the delivery, to the installers, to Jim Yeager himself, has been professional, polite, prompt, honest, and helpful. We needed new flooring and drywall repairs after a different company significantly damaged our home from a water leak accident. The difference between the two companies was night and day! I am so glad I found Yeager Flooring. The quality of the work is excellent and I never had to worry about any step in the process, they even helped me with insurance questions. Jim matched our older existing wood floor to new floor exactly - you can't even tell the difference. The financing is a great option as well. If you want a company with integrity, don't hesitate to hire Yeager Flooring. I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

The Yeager flooring team arrived as scheduled and worked very efficiently. The demo work was completed in one day, as promised. The installation crew came in the next day and worked until the job was completed, even though that meant working into the weekend. We are very pleased with our new flooring. We will definitely use Yeager again when we do our upstairs area.

Yeager is the most professional company I have dealt with. All of the crews were professional and awesome. My floors are absolutely beautiful.

Our master bathroom still looks pretty good, but the second bathroom in our 30-year old house was all original material and past its prime. This was going to be a full bathroom remodel. Some people have the DIY skills to tackle such a project. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. So, my wife and I knew we needed to find someone who was … and we found it in spades with Yeager Flooring. We met our designer, Haven, when she came to the house to take measurements of the bathroom and to find out what we’d like done. We met her a second time in their showroom when she helped us pick out tiles for the bathroom floor and shower walls. Robin was our contact in the Yeager office; she scheduled all the work and texted my wife to keep her up-to-date. The men who performed the actual demo and remodel treated our house as if it were their own. My wife was very impressed with how polite they were and how they cleaned up after themselves throughout the day. If you’re reading this review because you’re planning a similar remodel, you’ve no doubt read about the horror stories where the process has dragged on for months and months leaving the homeowners with one less functioning bathroom. Our experience with Yeager Flooring was the exact opposite. Every tile, every bag of grout mix, practically every item needed for the remodel was delivered to our garage a few days before the work was scheduled to begin. Haven told us the process would take about 4 to 4.5 weeks, and that turned out to be right on the money. There were no unexpected delays. The new bathroom looks very, very nice and we’ve received quite a few compliments from friends. We’re extremely pleased with the results. We will definitely use Yeager Flooring for any future home improvement project and would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone planning similar projects.

Workers arrived early and were very courteous and friendly. They didn’t waste any time. They were removing the old carpet within 5 mins of arrival! I have been a wood worker hobbyists for over 45yrs and was amazed at how good the craftsmanship was. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

Yeager did a fantastic job. We spoke to 5 or 6 contractors before going with Yeager. Haven did an excellent job talking us through our first large home project. She did a great job showing us options, and always kept our budget in mind which was very important to us. The crew arrived on time and we were always kept in the loop on the status. Highly recommend them and would definitely use again in the future!

Outstanding service and quality installation. Yeager worked with our schedule to remove old tile and carpeting as well as installing new tile and carpet throughout our entire home. We had a narrow window in order to accomplish the renovation and Mike Shorba, the Sales Manager, ensured the job was accomplished on time with no surprises.. We could not love our flooring any more than we do. They are not the least expensive in town, but you get what you pay for and we are extremely happy.

As expected, we knew there would be issues from the water damage that would need to be addressed. Jim immediately addressed each issue and with his resources and solutions. We would absolutely recommend Yeager and Company and will definitely use them again in the future.

We had the terrible luck of having a repeat leak on our wood floors after Jim and his team initially replaced our wood floor from a kitchen sink leak. We called Jim and he immediately responded to our sheer panic with plan for plumbing, mitigation and repair. He also made a wonderful suggestion to use non-wood floor due to our bad luck and two dogs to use wood-like ceramic floor. His team was so professional and paid such attention to detail-we could not have been more pleased! I absolutely love our new floor and would without a doubt use Yeager flooring again for any and all projects!!

It couldn't have been better. From the first contact with Mike in sales to the last moments of the install, my experience with Yaeger was excellent. After months of battling with Lowes and trying to get them to fix a terrible install job by their subcontractor, I reached out to Yaeger. The contrast in experience with these two companies is remarkable. Stay away from the "big guys." Yaeger instilled confidence and provided excellent value, with minimal disruption for me and my elderly mother.

It’s going very well. We love the wood-like tile floors, real wood cabinets and unique granite we chose for the counter tops. Jim Yeager’s work crews have been professional and efficient, and Jim himself really cares about customer satisfaction. We couldn’t be more pleased with every aspect of the renovation and will use Yeager Floors again in the future.

Our experience with Jim and his team was excellent. We called in a panic after discovering discolorations in our wood floor and within an hour of submitting an inquiry, we had an appointment scheduled foe the next day! Our repair required not only floor but also cabinet repair. Jim personally walked us through what the process would entail and had other team members (drying team, plumbers etc) at our home within hours. We felt such relief as his team arrived and did fabulous and efficient work. Throughout the process Jim was immediately available by text and phone making it clear that he personally takes responsibility for all the work done. Our home is now restored back to normal after an extensive floor repair and feel very thankful for finding this company.

Yeager Flooring (YF) was the last of four companies I used for a cost estimate. Although it was the fourth, it was by far the best in price, quality, and installation turnaround-time; the entire process took five work-days. Jim Yeager personally came to my home to do an estimate, made cost saving recommendations (the only company to do so) and provided top quality carpets and padding that fit within my budget. Regardless whether 1st or 4th, I will strongly recommend YF to neighbors and friends when for future flooring. I’m glad I did!
