Description of Work: Replace water heater and main shut off

Description of Work: Called for a quote on installing some new faucets. They were very friendly, but the price seemed a tad high. I inquired if there was a discount for multiple installations on the same trip, and they intimated that this might be up to the installer. But they lost my business after explaining that the "trip charge" applies, regardless if work is done. That is unacceptable to me: a "trip charge" should certainly not be assessed if work is done and paid for. So I found someone else who does NOT charge extra for their travel if work is performed.

Description of Work: Don't remember for sure when I had the plumber here. |Put on a new shower head in bathroom. |Looked at dishwasher and got it working again. |Installed a new faucet in kitchen. It was not tightened so it moves around when it shouldn't and it leaks.

Description of Work: Replaced shower drain. The entire process of fixing the broken drain went well and did not take very long at all. Great work by the technician "Eddie".

Description of Work: Tried to fix a slab leak in my kitchen. After 2 visits within 18 months, the leak is still not fixed and I currently have a hole in my floor.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Pampering Plumber. Both times, they arrive at the agreed upon time, performed the plumbing repair quickly, NEATLY, and permanent. Price in both cases was very fair. I just love this outfit, and I will not call anyone other then Pampering Plumber.

Description of Work: The Pampering Plumber installed a new hot water heater in my Mother's condo. There was some strange things done by previous plumbers, but they managed to work around the issues and complete the installation. I will hire them again.

Description of Work: Repaired a leaking pipe inside a wall. (The pipe goes to a bathroom, but the wall is shared by the garage- just behind the washer and dryer. There is an "access" area to get to it.) |He got straight to work and worked diligently.

Description of Work: I called for service to replace my hot water heater, as it had flooded my garage overnight. When I asked how much it would be to replace a hot water heater on the phone I was told they could not give me a quote because each job is different. I was then told the repair tech would be to my house between 12-3. The tech did not show up until 4:45. I was told that it would cost just under $800 to replace the water heater. This seemed high seeing as a 40 gal. tank only cost about $250 and even with labor and extra parts I can not work out how it would cost that much. When I asked for an itemized breakdown I was told they do not give itemized breakdowns because water heater replacements were a set price and always the same. I was further aggravated by fact that this set price could not be relayed over the phone that morning. I then asked for a written estimate, which the tech told me he could not do either. I told them I would not need their services if I could not be provided an itemization of costs as I will not highly overpay for a service that I know should cost much less. I was then charged $65 for the tech to come out for something that I should have been told over the phone that morning. | |The only upside it that the tech was polite and handled my discontent with the business practices of the company well. | |I would not recommend this company and will not use them in the future. I highly recommend price checking the parts prior to using this company because I was able to get a brand new heater installed via Home Depot for $350.

Description of Work: Changed water valve under sink from builder version. Came on a Sat at no extra cost and explained why old and new were different. Also looked at loose faucet N/c and left a Allen key for us to use on it.
