The Pampering Plumber

I discovered that the kitchen and master bathroom drains were severely clogged in the mobile home I purchased a month ago.I chose the Pampered Plumber from Angie's list because they appeared to have very good customer reports and had their own website which I was able to access for additional information. Bill, the technician for Pampering Plumber, was on-time and extremely courteous. He gave me an estimate (and the final price was exactly the same!) Bill had to use several major snakes to eventually clear up the blockage. He also replaced an outdated gold-colored sink in my second bathroom that my son had attempted to work on but could not complete. Bill expertly installed a beautiful white china sink. I am very pleased with Bill's work and will definitely call Pampering Plumber fin the future.

I've used them several times. When they came the first time I thought they were great and reasonable, but it seems like the prices have gone up. I was happier in the beginning and then it started to sound like too much. It was my impression that they were reasonable at first and then it kept going up. One time I had to call them for an emergency to replace a showerhead in my shower and then a month later my shower was not working. I thought that was really strange. He said that the part had deteriorated and I asked why he hadn't noticed that a month ago. I couldn't say that it had anything to do with them but the timing was kind of questionable. I hadn't had any problems with it until they came in. Parts do get old so I don't know what the story is. The service is good and I don't know what happened that time. Everything else they have installed has been good but you need to watch out for the prices. I think they are a pretty good quality company; I just don't know what has happened with the prices. The customer service is very nice. I might use them again but I might try to find somebody cheaper first.

They came out and showed us that the tub wasn't working because there was something wrong with the faucet. They fixed the faucet. I asked them to replace the toilet and they did with a much more efficient toilet. They also installed a water softener for us.

Eddie Gaus of Pampering Plumbers installed a Reverse Osmosis system which I had bought elsewhere. He was extremely helpful. Since my kitchen sink was old, I decided to buy a new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal before he installed the water filter system. He gave me his cell phone in case I had questions. By mistake, I called him when he had been resting on Saturday after a migraine. Cheerfully, he answered all my questions for the next 1/2 hour. His advice was excellent. I now have a beautiful new sink and faucet, with an excellent garbage disposal, all of which he installed. I also have a perfectly functioning Reverse Osmosis system - not a single leak or problem. I will call Pampering Plumbers and ask for Eddie from now on when I need plumbing help.

I have used him twice. Another time he gave me some valuable advice over the phone. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He told me that instead wasting money in fixing the plumbing lines, I could buy a new appliance, which worked out for me.

They charged me $59 for the estimate fee and then they took it off the cost. The total charge was $457. They were clean, prompt, and courteous. However, I didn’t think he was very good and knowledgeable about certain things. He left some things undone that he could have probably finished with. The initial estimate he gave me was a little bit lower, so we ended up using a lot more price than what he had thought he was going to. It was kind of cutting corners.

They are highly rated on Angie's list. I was very satisfied with them. I think there is more than one plumber associated with them. They have something 30 odd plumbers. I worked with one of the plumber, and he was wonderful. He was courteous. He was very nice and very helpful. He provided information about what my options were in terms of installation. He was very interested in energy efficiency. He was very clean. There was no spec of dirt anywhere. He cleaned up after himself very beautifully. He did a good job. It was a very good experience.

The toilet was spurting water from the tank. They came out by the end of the day, and were done in less than 30 minutes.

From the initial service call, we knew this was going to be a pleasant experience. We were called when the technician was one his way and Art actually arrived early. Art was very personable, extremely knowledgeable and very clean. The water heater was installed very professionall. He even took the time to sweep the area where the old heater had been installed. Any questions we had about anything were answered in detail. Art even took some time to explain to us about water softners. What was most impressive about Pampering Plumbers is that we now have our own technician (minus emergency calls). A few days after the service call we even received a nice thank you note from Art. Now how many companies would do that? It is such a pleasure dealing with a company that actually puts customers first. We would recommend them to anyone.

Experience was very good. Art was very personable, professional and efficient. He explained everything and showed me how to check water meter to determine if I have a leak in the future. As it turned out there was no leak and the City agreed there was a problem with my bill.

We call them a Monday and they were at our house the following morning. They came punctual and were very professional. They knew rigth away what the problem was, they explained what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost, and they fixed it quickly and left everythign very clean. It was a pleasure dealing with them. I would use them again and would recommend them to anybody who migth need a plumber.

The installer Terry was very prompt, curteous and efficient completing the jobs. The first heater air pump developed a problem soon after installation, so Terry replaced it without hesitation. He also provided some additional energy saving tips for me to pursue. Overall, a very positive experience.

The plumber who was sent, Eddie Gause, was knowledgeable, respectful, and thought carefully about the questions I asked him. He wore booties in the house, and did not leave a mess. Very good experience.

He explained their service program that will save us money. This included checking the other bathroom & flushing out the water heater. As this is a rental house, it is reassuring to know that I'll save money throughout the year. He was extremely polite & professional. I will not hesitate to reccomend this company.

Their prices were extremely high so we went with another company. If other companies' estimates had been in the same ballpark as this company I would have gone with them.

Left a message with the company since it was on a Saturday. Contact was made and appointment set up in a very friendly manner. I was given the first name of the plumber who would be responding. He was on time, evaluated the situation and gave an estimate. There were NOT extra charges for it being a week-end call. A $59 dispatch fee was the base line, after the estimate, if you accepted the bid, the dispatch fee was waived. Unfortunately there were two bids, one for $160 for simple unclogging, second for $220 if he had to "snake" the pipes. Not only did he have to "snake" the pipes, but he had to do it three times to get the best results. He did not charge any extra. The kitchen was a mess while Justin was working, but he cleaned everything up before he left including wiping off the kitchen floor. I would recommend this company and use them again. The plumber Ron was very professional from the time he arrived to give me the estimate til the time 2 days later( it had to be inspected) when he leveled off the area they had to dig down 4 feet to get to the line. He was polite and answered any concerns or questions. Office staff was very polite, friendly and helpful just wish they would have used their names.

I had previously hired Pampering Plumber to relocate the water lines and drains for my laundry room from one side of the room to the other (my house has a crawl space). Upon the install we noticed that the cold water supply tended to 'backdraw' from the hot water tank. The technician suggested a valve that would address the issue. I agreed and they were to order the part. I NEVER HEARD BACK. Now, due to this issue, when i do laundry, it runs it on full hot water even when I select cold water. So all of my laundry (and I do a lot of laundry with a husband in landscaping and kids and dogs!) is being done with scalding hot water - as you can imagine this is very expensive for the electric bill not to mention what it does to my colors). I called finally and they were like 'OH, the part JUST arrived'. (how convenient) So i scheduled a visit. That day, the original technician wasn't available, so they sent someone else. upon arrival, he didn't know what to do and said he wasn't sure if that part would fix the issue." No charge for the visit, just a waste of time off work for us. GUESS WHAT...I NEVER HEARD BACK. Here comes the end of January - we are now TWO MONTHS later!! I call back again and they scheduled a visit. apologized for not getting back to us. the schedule was for first call on a friday morning. I take off work again. I wait and wait. At nine I call. They tell me that he is doing another job and should be there later in the afternoon. I asked why they moved the apppointment without calling but they had ZERO explanation - something about not wanting to call before nine a.m. -- if you have a first appointment, why would a call before nine be an issue? Anyway, I was very displeased as I had planned to go back to work as soon as they were finished. They do try to accomodate and move other appts around and he ends up getting there at 11 a.m. SO...on this visit - he decides that the hot water heater wasn't installed properly. Why wasn't this discovered with all of the previous work? Who knows..but $172 later and they say they have addressed the issue. That night I come home and discover a slow leak. Luckily, it is draining into the pan under the hot water heater. I call them back and they set it up for him to come back Saturday a.m. He shows up on time. fixes the leak and and leaves. Imagine my suprise when i go back into the laundry and discover that he just left the water in the pan for me to deal with. I would have expected that with all of the issues/challenges - he would have cleaned up the mess that they created. While the technician was a very nice gentleman, I have little confidence in the work, and all of the claims of customer service as more lip service than an effort to really provide excellent customer service. (did i mention that I run a customer service department?). I will be seeking my plumbing services elsewhere.

They were very good. They came on two occasions actually; they came to my other house and my husband dealt with them. They came and fixed the water heater. It was I think some sort of auxiliary water heater and they just did that without any problem and my husband was really pleased with them. I think it was a week ago or two weeks ago, we had them come again. Our house is in a big condo building, it is like a 21 story building, and we're up in the 20th floor. We had a back up in our kitchen sink and what it ended up being was that the back up wasn't actually in our unit, it was like 40 or 50 ft. away and they were able to solve that problem for me. So, that was a very good experience too. They were excellent. I thought there price was very reasonable for them to come in to Downtown Tampa, work in a building like ours that is not routine work so I think it was excellent. They came within a couple of hours and actually it was Christmas evening so that was really above & beyond. I would use them in future, if needed. They are really good company; I support good companies all the time and they deserve to be recognized.

They were very prompt and helpful. Very pleasant and professional. The price was very fair. He identified another issue which we will address in another visit (but he didn't put on a heavy sales pitch - just let me know what the solution could be). An interesting part of the story is that we failed to detail out removal of the old lines and drains in the estimate which I wanted to have done, but after they left I noticed it was not done. I called and admitted that I wasn't sure if i had specified the disconnect, but they came back out to do it - and shockingly...did it at no charge. Since I admitted my lack of memory of the specifics - i fully expected to pay for the fix & visit. Very very nice customer service. I will call them back.

We read the recommendations of other customers for The Pampering Plumber from Angie's List. They all were very satisfied. Since they were a local company, we went to their showroom and were given all the information we needed to make an intelligent decision. We were especially impressed that they didn't try to sell us the most expensive units, but ones that fit our specifications exactly. We're very pleased with the products and very satisfied with the showroom help, Krista, and with our plumber, Eddie. He was meticulous in his work and pleasant to have in the house the few hours he was with us. He even delivered a Thank You gift from the company several days later. We appreciate having Angie's list as a resource and hope others will take the time to send in reports to help us all make wise decisions.

They did a great job and were very prompt. They have a great customer rapport. Worked well with other vendors. They were able to come exactly when I scheduled them to come. I plan to use them for two other bathroom sink projects.
