SUPERIOR BRICK PAVERS

I can't say enough good things about this company. From beginning to end, they were professional, punctual, responsive, and truly experts in their field. I dealt directly with the owners, Kent and Jennifer Falby. This whole process of getting a patio installed started on a bit of a sour note as I tried calling a couple of the other highly-rated paver companies here on Angie's List and got turned down because the 200 sq.ft. patio I was wanting at the time wasn't large enough (Really?? You don't want my money??). I almost gave up, but I'm glad I decided to try one more company. When I called Jennifer, she kind of chuckled at what the other companies had told me and made it clear that Superior was more than happy to do small jobs. Within a day or two, Kent, who has over 30 years experience with pavers, came out to do an estimate, and within hours of that, Jennifer had already emailed the quote. I wasn't super particular on what kind or color of pavers were used, so they were able to give me a discounted price if I chose to use pavers left over from a larger job. The price was so good for the 200 sq.ft. patio that I asked for a revised quote for a 315 sq.ft. patio. Again, the price was fantastic. I swung by their office/showroom one day to see the pavers they had in mind, and I agreed they would look great in my backyard, so I booked them. Both Kent and Jennifer made it clear from the beginning that they schedule smaller jobs like mine between the larger jobs so they can be as efficient as possible. I was told the installation would happen within two weeks. Just a few days later, I was very pleased to get a call saying they would be out the following day to install the patio. When the four-man crew arrived, Kent was with them. He explained what needed to be done, clarified with me on anything that wasn't 100% clear, and the guys got to work. I had forgotten to arrange with our sprinkler guy to have some sprinklers capped, but Kent's guys took care of that with no extra charge. Once the crew got going, they were FAST. I couldn't believe how hard these guys worked in the Florida sun. Within about a six-hour period (one afternoon and the next morning), the work was done, and the patio looked beautiful. Kent was there when the patio was finished to inspect it and make sure I was happy with the work. Within the next week, the guy who does their sealing (Chris) came out and did a great job with that as well. I seriously can't think of a single thing I didn't love about this whole process. I would hire this company again a thousand times over!

Excellent! This was our second time in 15 months hiring Superior Brick Pavers. The first time they did our pool deck. Both times they came out to do the estimate within a few days of our call. The estimate was delivered by email within a day and questions were answered immediately! The jobs themselves came out absolutely perfect and the guys work so quickly and efficiently that they are done before you could imagine. Everything is beautiful, every detail in the paving has been addressed including a difficult corner or perfect sloping. After they clean up, you would never know they had been there! For both our jobs, the materials were delivered the morning the job began so nothing was sitting around the yard and both jobs started on time as promised. We are so pleased with how everything turned out.

I contacted Superior Brick Pavers a few weeks back hoping to have them come to my home to give an estimate. The rep that I spoke with informed me it may take some time to get a response as Ken is really busy. I waited a week and actually called her back because they came so highly recommended. She apologized and said I should hear within a short time. A month later, no returned call. It is not professional to leave a potential client hanging and waiting. I finally moved on to other companies for additional quotes, however, I was disappointed to be ignored.

Called to get estimate and had to leave message. This is common enough. They called next day and said someone would contact me within a few days to arrange for estimate. No one called or showed up. If you're too busy or job is tooo small have the courtesy and professionalism to respond honestly. I'm not chasing you just to give you money.

Absolutely perfect. It only took 2 days from demo to finish. The result is a brand new house. We could not have been more pleased.

Used the contact method via website describing what I needed and after 2 weeks - No response.

Kent arrived in short time to give us an estimate. We made an appointment to visit the show room _yard).We selected in stock bricks. Signed a contract and scheduled the work. Work was finished in 3 hours; quality of work is excellent. A separate sub-contractor came in and cleaned and sealed the bricks. Kent and his wife Jennifer make an excellent team. Work is professional, knowledge and skilled work make this an excellent business to work with.

Our experience with Superior Brick Pavers was excellent in every aspect. Jennifer was very helpful and knowledgeable when we were picking out out style and color of the pavers. We had a picture of an installation we liked from our neighborhood and she easily identified the pattern, shapes, and colors, making it easier on us since there are so many choices. Kent had a large job in progress that had a short intermission and managed to work us into their schedule several weeks earlier than anticipated. Kent & the crew showed up on time, did exactly as Kent described, and in record time. The sealing process was well worth the money. We opted for the semi-gloss sealant and are very pleased with our choice. The sealant subcontractor was prompt, polite and professional. He explained the process, what to expect over the next couple of days. Everything turned out exactly as he stated. The pool cleaning subcontractor was prompt and efficient. Communication as to what to expect was not too good, but the result was good. They returned for several days in a row until the pool was clean and recovered from the paver installation. The job turned out beautifully and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We would happily recommend Superior Brick Paver Installations, Inc. to anyone. Job specifics: 1) Remove cap tiles around top edge of pool so the brick coping fits correctly. 2) Installed approx. 800 square feet thin-brick pavers. 3) Install approx. 87 square feet of brick coping around pool. 4) Seal pavers (subcontractor). 5) Clean sand and debris out of pool (subcontractor).

Initially, I thought Superior Brick Pavers did a good job when they installed the brick pavers in March 2013. A crew of about 6 workers arrived and completed the project in a few hours. I was satisfied with the work initially. About 2 years later, the bricks on the edges of the patio began to separate from the patio increasing the joints between the bricks. About 6 months later, some of the bricks on the second row from the edge began to shift as well. On 12/10/2015, I sent an email to Superior Brick Pavers explaining the situation with photos and requested an estimate of the cost of repairing the problem by pouring footers around the edge to hold the bricks in place. I received an email the next day stating the owner, Kent, would be informed. Not hearing from anyone for about 2 weeks, I called and spoke with Kent. He explained that they were extremely busy and he would try to come out to provide an estimate soon. After 2 more weeks, Kent had not come by and I had not heard from him, so I called him again on 1/8/2016. He said again that he had been very busy, but had business in my area the upcoming week and would come by to give me an estimate. Today is 2/8/2016 and I have not heard from Kent. I am extremely disappointed, both with the quality of the original work and the owners lack of response on correcting the problem (at my expense). I expect a reputable company to: 1) stand behind their work, 2) respond to their customers (especially those that have already paid for the job in full), and 3) immediately correct any problems from the completed job. It has been 2 months since I sent the email asking for an estimate and have been completely ignored by the owner.

From start to finish this company was awesome!! The owner came out to the home and measured the pool area and driveway and walkways.......in just a couple of days a proposal arrives via email and we accepted the contract. We went to the brick yard and choose our pavers and style of install.. Within a week the phone rang and the work was going to begin!! The work started on a Friday in the pool area and finished that day. They returned on Monday to start the driveway and walkways that also was finished within 2 days! Good job done, and all cleaned up!! I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to upgrade to Brick Pavers. Thank you very much Kent & Jennifer of Superior Brick Pavers!!!

What luck for us to use this company. I read most of the reviews before we called for an estimate. Although there were some bad reviews, upon reading them and the company's response, I put them off as "never make happy" and called them for the job. I can say that I would recommend them to EVERYONE who wants pavers. We are SO happy with this company. Absolutely great people!!

Kent was VERY professional. Told us when things would happen, and, for the most part they did. Due to the VERY rainy season, things were often delayed. However, when the weather was good, so were they. Did a beautiful job in approximately the time Kent said it would take. Again, the weather stunk for us.

The project went very well. Our front porch looks much nicer, as does the back lanai and walkway. Kent and his crew did an excellent job, and we look forward to them doing our driveway in the future.

Bottom line is that they were in a hurry to move on to the next job with little regard for doing quality work. Very unpleasant experience. We did not receive a good value for the money spent, as a result we will not use this company to pave our driveway and walkways. Very sloppy workmanship and a bad attitude to match: Partially: 1. pool cage has holes drilled in it that look like a 5 year old did the job. When I asked the owner about this, he said " But you will be the only one who sees it!" Yes, he really said that. 2. workers left trash and partially consumed food at night. 3. many sloppy installations and I have the pictures to prove it. 4. ran the pool pumps with debris in the pool - took weeks to get pool running properly because of this.

The crew was on time and expected the job to be 1 to 2 days. They stayed late and completed the job in 1 day. The supervisor, Bill, was very knowledgeable, shared his plans and expectations so that we were on the same page. he called periodically to alert me to any items that came up so we could discuss them prior to his completion of the task.The project came out looking awesome.

Superior Brick Pavers (SBP) did an exceptional job on our extensive paver project. The driveway looks amazing; the walkways are exactly as I had envisioned; and the front porch/steps blend in perfectly. Several things stood out to me: - Kent's (owner) patience up front in answering so many questions- Kent's willingness to suggest design ideas (but only when asked) - SBP's superb selection process (I love the pre-built patios that let me see what a large area might look like) - the SBP crew ... I stopped by several times and they were professional, courteous, and even made an on the spot design change for me - the cleanliness of SBP's work ... you made a terrific mess during the process; but when you left, everything was clean and neat. - the sealing process ... I preferred the SBP sealing process / material better than other options I researched (my back porch looks amazing with it!) - SBP's billing approach ... they didn't place the risk in my court; instead, they asked for a modest down payment (vs half or all up front) - the MANY compliments my neighbors walking by have and continue to make about the finished product SBP is a class act company. I have already recommended SBP and will continue to do so. Thank you very much for a complex job that exceeded my expectations in every way!

Their crew did a great job cleaning repairing small sections and sealing the pavers.

Chris came to start the job on a Wednesday. The sealant that needed to be removed was much more difficult than expected. I have to admit I was very leery when he started as the sealant was white when it was applied and I could not see any enhancement. But, after he continued to apply the solution and 'buff' it off the difference was incredible. It really does look like the bricks have been just laid. All of the discoloration is gone and there are no faded spots on the brick. We also asked him to pressure wash the screen, which he did before he sealed the deck so we would not have to remove the furniture again at a later time. He was done in two days and was very professional. He told us when he would be here, what he was going to do and how long it would take. He worked at a very fast pace and was almost at a run the whole time - he wore me out just watching him! Kent has a very good contractor that he is affiliated with and we would highly recommend them. We were hesitant about the process but after getting 5 bids, my husband felt more comfortable with this vendor because of the rating on AL and the reviews.

It went well. They did the work in a timely manner and fixed the problem at a reasonable price.

The work they did looks beautiful and several people compliment about how nice it looks. Once they started, they worked very hard and did a great job. The hiccups were in communication. We gave them a deposit in the middle of Oct. and were told the job would be the second week of Nov. but we heard nothing from them until Dec. 17th. There was also another problem that occured with a broken down truck and the workmen not being able to arrive when expected. There were several issues beyond the provider's control but we felt we should have been kept in the loop. We think the work was exactly what we wanted and at a fair price.
