Description of Work: We recently purchased a property and had it inspected by Magnolia Home Inspections. When we purchased the property we weren't sure if we wanted to renovate it or demo it and go with new construction. The home was built in 1954, so we wanted to make sure that whomever did the inspection was very diligent and thorough. On July 30th I called several inspection companies to get an estimate, but after speaking with Tim Tingen at Magnolia Home Inspections, I felt comfortable right away. He came out on August 1, 2012 to do the inspection. The inspection took 3 1/2 hours to complete. He was extremely thorough and very meticulous. We really appreciated that because given the results of the inspection would define what course of action we would take regarding the remodel. He was very knowledgeable and would explain the findings. We definitely learned a lot from Tim. He was very honest and didn't sugar coat anything. He was great. It took him 2 days to finalize the full report. Given the results, we decided to demolish the home and go with new construction. Had he not been so thorough and missed something we probably would've gone with remodeling, which in retrospect, would have been a mistake!! Given the inspection findings, we decided to have the home demolished and are currently in the process of building a new home. So we were very pleased with Tim.
