+ 0 moreI called this company after another contractor I had used previously failed to return calls and show up for estimate meeting. Glad I found this company. When I called for an estimate, I was given a time and Chris Nelson showed up as scheduled. He was thorough in measuring and looking over my system. Once he wrote up the estimate, he presented me with a folder showing some of their work, a copy of their liability insurance, and copies of their Pesky and Boneless contractors licenses. I was very pleased with the professionalism and knowing that I was dealing with a reputable company, and accepted the bid. A time and day was set for the work, again Chris and his assistant showed up on time, completed the work, including possibly some extra work on clearing my super gutter French drains. They did a great job cleaning up as well. I was completely satisfied, and also appreciated the ten percent discount provided to Angie's List customers! Next time I have any gutter issues, I will certainly call this group back, and will certainly recommend to anyone needing this service. They are top notch.
Description of Work: I had about fifty feet of old 4" gutter replaced with new 6" gutter and downswpouts. Also, I had my super gutter on the pool enclosure cleaned.

+ -1 moreThis was a well done job. They got the underground utilities located and started that same day. Two men hand dug the trench for the pipe. That was fortunate because the in-ground house power cable was not completely located nor, was it as deep as reported. In addition they tunneled under two sidewalks and moved landscaping stones. They were also careful of sprinkle lines. In all they did what we contracted for precisely. The trench was filled, the sod replaced and the excess dirt hauled away. The work was complete in about three hours. The men were friendly and gave helpful advice on other drainage issues.
Description of Work: Installed a 37 foot long, 4 inch diameter underground drain hose. It is attached to a downspout and runs beside the driveway to a catch basin at the curb.

They came out and installed the guttering in a couple of weeks later and did a great job. They even installed the guttering on the garage on short notice the day of the appointment.

+ -1 moreThis company was extremely prompt about returning my call and David came out within the week to give me an estimate. The work had to be scheduled for later in the month because they were very busy but this was all right with me because I was going to be out of town. David and crew arrived right on time and got to work. The color match is excellent and I'm very pleased with the look, and most importantly, the function of my new gutters. They work perfectly. One day I'll have them come back to replace the rest of my gutters.
Description of Work: The original gutters on my house needed repairing which the local company that did the original installation were willing to repair, but I had been told by several other gutter companies that my gutters were installed too low. I was told that this was probably the reason that I was having problems with the function of my original gutters. I had the gutters and downspouts in the problem areas replaced rather than having my entire gutter system replaced.I decided to have them install the leaf guard so I won't have to clean out my gutters anymore. I also had a rain barrel installed and David also replaced the downspout connectors to my underground drainage system.

+ -1 moreSteve was the lead and Eric was his helper. I couldnt be happier. Both guys did a great job. The job was cleanly done and perfect. They recommended what color I should use and I was considering bronze to match my windows and Steve highly recommended I go with yellow to match the Facia color. I'm so pleased I took his advice. The bronze would have stuck out like a sore thumb. The company does have some upgrades that others do not, I.e. they use the same color divots as the gutters to screw them in. The divots don't rust and make for a cleaner look. They also don't use miter boxes which would have 3 seams and could cause more potential leaking;rather, they make 1cut for the corners and are costom fit like crown molding. This is one of the few companies that does underground drainage work- this works great. It's so clean looking and effiecient- no more mulch sliding down to the edge of my curbing. My mulch beds now look great and the drainage system goes underneath it and a small circle bubbler comes ot in my grass and it's flush with the grass do you can mow over it and it has a clean look. We are very picky customers and always watch contractors the entire time they are at our home and these guys did a perfect job. Definitely ask for Steve as the lead guy he takes great pride in his work. He treated my house like it was his own!

+ -1 moreSteve came out and actually drew up the house showing us where the down spouts would go. He suggested the color match. He answered all our questions. We didn't initially accept the bid, but we called the next day. He did not even require a down payment to book the job. He came back when he said he would. Steve and Billy did a great job, it looks great. I commented upon how the gutters gave the house such a "finished look." Crown molding for houses Steve said, he is right. Steve's bid was $700 cheaper than everyone else and he was the only one who recommended the underground drain in the back near the patio area! Nice job :-)
Description of Work: All around seamless gutters, six downspouts and an underground drain. Done in a day. Color matched the down spouts to the house. Looka great!

+ -1 moreACG did a great job for me! They gave me a free estimate and were able to do the job very quickly, within a day or two. Dave, the installer, was very professional, courteous and knowledgable. The guys came in, went right to work and got the job done in no time. The machine that they have that bends the gutters made the work go very fast. They installed big six inch gutters to hold all the water from our Florida downpours. They even included concrete pads at the bottom of each downspout to direct the water flow. Everything was great, and the price was great too - much more reasonable than I had expected! I would definitely recommend ACG to anyone needing gutter replacement.

I was impresssed with their attention to detail and complete installation focusing not only on the gutters but the downspouts and direction of water post the run off. The gutters look awesome great addition to my house as well as a better way to disperse water.

+ -1 moreI had multiple companies come out and give me estimates for putting up gutters for my entire home. Steve was the individual from ACG doing the estimate on my home and came by while I was at work and left me information regarding the estimate. I was very impressed with the estimate he left as it included all of the specific details I needed as well as color samples of the gutters and downspouts. He also provided me with an option to put in underground drainage from the front and back of my home which I really thought would help with the standing water issues. After receiving the estimate I had Steve come out to my house in person to walk me through the details and show me exactly what they would be doing. I thought that was very helpful and at that point we agreed on a price and a date for him to come in and do the installation. Steve and another worker arrived on the day we had agreed upon to do the work. I came home from work to meet with Steve and see the finished product. They installed everything as discussed except they forgot to put in one piece of the underground drainage system. Steve acknowledged the mistake and told me he would come back on his first available date to finish the job. We agreed he would come back in a few days to finish the drainage piece and he did exactly that. He arrived a few days later and finished everything up in a short amount of time. Overall, I was very pleased with Steve's work and quality of the job. Even though a they made a mistake, they took care of it and did everything very professionally. I highly recommend getting an estimate from this company and working with Steve was a great experience.

At this time, I could only install enough to remedy a particular problem area and he understood and offered good suggestions. On installation day, Chris and Eric completed the job, cleaned up after themselves, and the gutter looks great! I waited a few weeks to see how the gutter performed with the summer rains, and I am happy to report everything is working very well. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

Description of Work: Based on Angie's List, a call was made to American Custom Guttering to provide an on-site estimate for the installation of gutters on three sides of our house. The house was built without gutters on the two sides and back of the house. The existing front gutters are 5 inch and the technician pointed out that there were many joints that could eventually leak. An estimate to replace the front gutters was not submitted to the owners per the owner's decision. The gutter color was selected from a sample set of gutter aluminum and the down spout color determined. In preparation the owner had the roof shingles power-washed to remove mold and mildew. The fascia boards were also painted prior to the installation. Scheduling was prompt and installation took less than 2 hours by the same tech, Chris who estimated the job. Chris was accompanied by one other technician. The estimate packet of materials given to the owner included copies of the company's insurance to include Worker's Compensation and other license information. The packet also contained reference sites, frequently asked questions and an informative brochure. Other options not selected by the owner were rain barrel installations and heavy duty gutter screens. The seamless 6 inch gutters are made of heavy gauge aluminum and are formed at the job site. The gutters were attached using heavy duty hidden hangers spaced every 30 inches on average. The hand cut mitered corners and down spouts are fastened with rivets (instead of screws). The materials and specifications provide less opportunities for leaks, rust and hang ups for debris. Concrete splash blocks were placed at the bottom of each down spout. There is a 2 year warranty on labor and a 20 year manufacturer's warranty on materials. After the installation the owner and technician walked the three sides of the house with the new gutters. The end product was visually pleasing and matched the house paint very well. The entire experience with American Custom Guttering was excellent to include conversations with the owner and the telephone personnel.

He did exactly what we requested in the time he suggested it would take for the amount he had quoted. There were no surprises or problems. Price seemed somewhat high but I did not get additional estimates so I have nothing to compare this price with.

The valley shield has worked wonders to keep the water from overflowing the gutter in the pool cage area during our heavy summer downpours. Overall a great experience.

+ -1 moreThe estimator came out on schedule, prepared the estimate and left us with color samples of the gutters and down spouts. The gray we chose for the downspouts is very close to the house color, so we didn?t need to have them painted. The two installers came on time as well and did a beautiful job installing the gutters - we?ve already gotten compliments from our next door neighbor on the job. They look great and from what I have seen so far, they seem to work fine as well. The Saturday after the installation, I was putting down splash blocks and noticed a problem with the placement of one of the downspouts ? the water flowed directly into a fence post. I called American Custom on Monday and they came out the same day to adjust the down spout. They did a fairly good job installing the underground drain for the back of the house. I was surprised that they hand-dug the trench. The trench had to go through a loose stone walkway and then grass. They folded back the sod, dug the trench, placed the pipe, filled in the hole and folded the sod back over it. Initially we had a scar running through our back yard and it took a little while for the grass to grow back together over the work, but now you can not see where the trench was dug. I also had to do some work to make the stone walkway look decent again. However, they were nice enough to install a pool back-wash pipe that we had bought in the same hole as the drain pipe at no additional charge. In general I?m satisfied with the job they did with the underground pipe but absolutely delighted with the job they did on the gutters.
Description of Work: Place gutters on two sides of the house and install a 70’ underground drain line for one down spout in the back of the house.

In spite of that they honored the price in their estimate. The serviceman came out and had the job done in a few hours. I chose them for two reasons. One was the price and the second was because I have colored gutters, not white. The colors they offered were the closest to the original. I recommended them to my neighbor and they used American too. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreI installed pavers in a courtyard in front of my home. The installer suggested I move an existing downspout that dumped directly on the pavers to avoid wash out of the foundation. I called American Custom Guttering, talked to Mike and he sent a rep. out a few days later. The rep. Dave, was professional, courteous, prompt and very helpful. I decided to install gutters all the way around the courtyard. Dave took the measurements and had the installers come out a few days later. From initial contact to job completions was less than a week. The installers arrived right on time and were finished before noon. The gutters look beautiful, match the house color perfectly. I would recommend with out reservation.
