I had a confirmed appt, but they no call no showed. So I called them a half hour after my appt and they said it was rescheduled to tomorrow. I understand things can change at the last minute so all I would need is a quick phone call to reschedule, but I won't give my business to a no call no show.

Nobody else knows how to work on these but these people were able to work on it. I had a good experience with them.

Employees are pleasant and show up but the lawn does not show improvement. Most recently we were charged full price for service but only the front yard was noted as treated. Also after complaining that weed control applications were ineffective, a company employee admitted that the treatment chemical listed on the invoice to us had not been on his truck for over a year and therefore, could not have used.

We moved over from another company to them and they are a much better company.

I don't know what happened after that, perhaps the tech on our route changed, but our front lawn has now been destroyed by chinch bugs. They have been out to treat it and the tech could not determine what the cause was. I didn't find out the cause until I received a quote for service from another company. I followed the most recent visit up with calls to their office. The first time I was sent to voice mail and did not hear back until I called them 2 days later. I was then told they'd be out the following day. This did not happen either. We are very disappointed and now our lawn needs to be re-sodded. We will not use them again nor recommend anyone else should.

Dobson's Woods & Water Inc. only deserves a B overall. Their price is decent. The quality is okay but could be better. I am going to give them on more chance to do work with them again.

There was a problem with my irrigation system that I wasn't able to fix (low pressure in one of the zones). The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time and got to work right away checking all zones and determining where the problem was occurring. The price was fair. I should have called much sooner!

I called them and they wanted to schedule getting an estimate 5 days later, as they said they were busy. I told them we needed something much sooner and they found someone available the next morning. Their estimate was more than the other resource we had found on Angie's List...so we went with the other company.

Very well, we needed 2 new sprinkler heads and the guy saved us money by explaining how to install ourselves

I chose the company based on Angie's List ratings and because they are located very close to my house. I had an aggressive weed problem they promised they'd get to right away. I didn't see them from nearly a week so I called and they said they'd be right out. When they did get there the initial results were pretty good - killed off the aggressive weed but treatment didn't touch the nut sedge which was prevalent. I called later about that and they said there wasn't much you could do about that. About two months later after a treatment and after the second bill, I called and said that I was having lots of new weeds pop up with all the wet weather. No service, no return call. I called a few weeks later - no service and no call for another two weeks. By now, my lawn looked so bad that other companies are dropping off analyses of the lawn listing the many problems and advertising their lawn service. I called multiple times on Friday, March 18 during office hours but nobody answered so I left a message saying I was very upset with the lack of service and communication. I said I wanted to cancel my service and wanted a return call to confirm they would not send any further bills. No return call Friday - Monday. When I got home from work Monday evening, March 21, there was a bill in my mailbox stating that someone had provided service on March 17 and charging $45. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I called that night and left a calm message asking for a return call and stating it was my second request. No call back by 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 22. I called and actually reached a person. I explained the situation and the woman said that there had been service on Thursday, March 17. I said that there could not have been because there was no lawn sign announcing a treatment, no signs of a treatment (all other treatments had included fairly bright blue patches on weeds), and no door hanger indicating anyone had been there. She said that they had been having a problem with one person not hanging door signs. I restated that there had been no treatment. At the very least, he would have posted a sign in the lawn warning people not to walk through the chemicals he had supposedly just applied. I also said that the bill that arrived in my mailbox was placed there illegally because it had not been delivered through the US postal system. She asked if there was a stamp on it. I said that there was a stamp (placed far below and to the left of the usual place) but that the envelope did not have any marks on it to indicate it had been delivered through the mail (such as marks cancelling the stamp). I stated that this was a bill for a service that did not take place and it was put in my mailbox illegally. She agreed that putting something in my mailbox would be illegal but argued with me that there had been a treatment. Finally I said that at this point I was willing to settle for cancellation of my service and the bill, but that if she wanted to tangle with me I'd seek legal counsel because I had retained the envelope and had more than one witness that there had been no lawn sign posted on March 17. She quickly agreed to cancel the service and bill.

We called Dobson's based on previous reviews. The customer service person was professional and seemed to know how to care for the lawn. He gave us many tips. Based on his advice we signed up for monthly lawn and shrub service. The first two treatments went well. On the third visit, the side of our grass was severely burned. After we called, a tech came out to spread some potash on the grass and said the grass would come back. It has not. Since two more visits, the tech has not called as needed to gain access to the back yard, so the back yard has not been treated. Numerous calls to the office do not resolve problems. Dobson?s doesn?t seem to care anymore. UPDATE: Had to cancel the service. Last straw cae when they sent a indoor pest control technician to service the lawn. I was home the day he came and watched him spend less than 10 minutes on the lawn. He did not do anything to the bushes (but charged me). He left a blank note on the door, so no details about what he did. This was after I called about a specific problem.

I called and spoke with them on the Friday after the spots appeared, and they told me they'd come out the following Monday to inspect. They did not. I called them the following Friday and left a VM, it's now Wednesday and they still have not called back. I am very disappointed as I had heard such good things about them on this site. Based on my experience, I would not recommend their service.

We signed up with them in May. It was amazing to begin with. The guy immediately called back and came right out to the property the day I called. He gave an estimate. We had thought about going with their full service but decided to go with their partial service to see how they do. We were very impressed with them but the service was just not there when it actually came. I had told them when the lawn was going to be mowed. If they came on the day that the lawn was mowed, they wouldn?t be able to work on the weeds because they are the same height. The guy came the day after we mowed and he missed half the weeds. I called them when they didn?t show up, and they said they?d have someone come out and do our water, and check it out and tell us if the waterline was working and if that was the problem. They neither showed up nor called. We went through this for about four weeks. I called the guy just before the Friday before July 4th and asked if they were going to make it out, because if they were not out by Monday, then we would need to cancel their service, because this just wasn't working. I did not hear from them. Fortunately, my husband got another company. When they finally came over to do some spraying work, my husband asked them not to do it because they had not delivered. We were really disappointed with them. We paid for their quarterly service but I cannot remember what the figure is. The price was a little higher. We were willing to pay, if the service had been good, but it wasn't there. I would not use them in the future.

Dobson's crew are professional and courteous. Our lawn looks fine. We changed to this company after we became tired of constant attempts by the company we had been previously using to "up-sell" us on services we neither wanted nor needed.

Did a great job, will use them again

The representative was on time and was very professional, but the quote was 3x as much as others that I received. I ended up going with Elite Sprinkler repair and they did an excellent job.

They are wonderful, prompt, reliable, and professional. They come on an ongoing basis to provide service. I pay them $50 every 2 months. Their pricing is extremely reasonable compared to other lawn maintenance or fertilizing companies. They are not pushy at all. They don?t make constant phone calls like a couple of other companies do, to try to sell you something else.

The service has only been on for four months but the lawn looks excellant.

Overall, the experience has been pretty positive with them. We've had some confusion about what services were included in different packages that they offer but they've done a good job for us. I would use them again, if needed.

I called them on June 12th and they never returned my call. I tried to call again on July 16th; I left a message on Elizabeth's voicemail and never received a call back.

I said, "do not bother bringing out a contract since I no longer want to work with you". My lakefront looks horrible again since it has all grown back. I wanted the maintenance contract to keep this from happening.

The technician's expertise was outstanding, and his advice turned out to be completely correct. I did the repair myself. His advice sped up the repair. He didn't withhold information nor ask to do the repair. I highly recommend this company.

We have one crew or the other in the yard doing something. The sprinkler guy is much better than the last one we had. They are very informative, timely.

I think their service is mediocre, it's not particularly good. The price is per month.

They are dependable, professional, and reasonably priced.
