Told delivery would be on Tuesday and then when I called Tuesday morning they told me it would be Wednesday

We contacted Tom's Sod Service after reading the favorable reviews on Angie's List. Our 'lawn' at our newly-purchased home was nothing but dead weeds and we had to replace it. Manager Craig came to give us an estimate and schedule the job - first the lawn had to be sprayed with a 'grass killer' (which I thought was redundant, since it was already dead). The sod replacement was scheduled for the following week. They scheduled the job for 'after lunch' and arrived mid-afternoon.They tore up the lawn with heavy equipment and began to lay the sod. Although they worked quickly, they ran out of daylight. The lead person, Larry, asked my husband if he was satisfied with the job and my husband told him he couldn't see it in the dark, so how would he know? Also, (and the reason I didn't give them all As) Larry was preparing to take half a pallet of sod with him when he left. We had paid for 5 pallets and we expected 5 pallets to be put down. The square footage estimate was over what was needed, but we paid for it nonetheless. Larry called Manager Craig and was told that he had to lay the rest of the sod, even if it meant digging up more lawn on the sides of the house to use up the remaining sod. Larry apologized and said they would be back in the morning to finish the job. The crew arrived at 7:30 AM and completed the work to my husband's satisfaction. We now have the best looking lawn on the street! (Side note - both our neighbors on either side of us have contracted with Tom's Sod to have their lawns replaced. They love the way our lawn looks!)

The sod arrived in the evening and I installed it the next day. It is now almost a year later and it still looks healthy and green, despite our past winter weather. It appears to be a first-quality sod.

Our front lawn was a wreck and we wanted to have our lawn match the lush landscapes of our neighbors. Tom's Sod was a great choice as they handle a number of large properties throughout central Florida. Coordinating the rip and install required some patience as they were tied up with bigger projects, but we're glad we waited. The sod they use is very high quality and the lawn quickly took hold. It looks great and met our expectations. We appreciated the GMs expertise and his desire to make the job right. We'll definitely use them when we decide to replace the back yard.
