This project was done through Lowe's Contract Services. Lowe's is complacent in this review also. ***Note: I have been involved in construction from residential remodeling to multi-million dollar projects and have never seen such a mess as provided by Lowe's and Toby Young LLC.*** This company has a BS owner who claims things will be done as he stated "if you wouldn't do it in your house, don't do it on the customer's job". Claims his subs were to abide by this theory. Toby Young and his project managers are nothing but mouth pieces for whatever will placate the people having work done. They know little to nothing about a project schedule, how to manage a project, schedule work to get the project done in a reasonable time. According to Lowe's project book that we were given, the project was to begin after our floor installer was completed, about the end of June 2018 and were supposed to be completed by the end of September 2018. The project had several snags such as poor quality subcontract work, painting and damaged cabinets. Taking all this into account, another month should have been sufficient to complete. Instead they would send a worker sometime twice or three times per week to work on the project. Other times no one showed up all week. When someone showed up they worked for one or two days, sometimes only for a few hours and left. I had to assist the worker several times to install the farm sink and convection oven because no one was sent to assist the worker even though the work could not be done by one person. Overall this company knows little to nothing on how to run a job or manage a project schedule. In addition their subcontractors were low grade at best. As long as their boss was on the job things went well, when the workers were left to their own devices quality and quantity suffered. Contractors complained of not receiving proper instruction as to what they were sent to do and are being pulled from a job in progress in order to satisfy the project supervisor's whim of bouncing from job to job and not being allowed to complete their work. Then while being dispatched to another job, they are again being pulled to attend to another job. In the final result this project that was supposed to be done in three months took over six months to complete. Also two of my personal tools were stolen from our garage because the contractors put a lockbox on the door to allow access to subcontractors as the home was unoccupied during construction. NEVER EVER allow carte blanche access without a means to monitor who comes and goes. I would never hire the company or the majority of their subcontractors to do work in our home again. I accepted Lowe's contract services to take the load of managing the project myself, instead I became the project manager because Toby Young LLC and its project manager failed to do their jobs. Lowe's did little to alleviate these issues either. Poor performance all around. Finally, on month number nine we are still having little things corrected or completed. Overall rating would be less than F but there is no rating below F on this rating scale.
