You impressed me as a competent lawyer & down to earth easy to talk with person. Therefore, I hope you do not mind my sharing the review I posted yesterday about Renew Kitchen & Bath Design LLC. Would it cost a lot to have you write a letter to Jim or maybe just to call him for you to advocate on our behalf that he replace our farmer’s sink with one that is not irregular. We feel stuck that it would cost us a lot to have to pay again for another new sink & pay again for the cost of another removal/installation. We think that to change the sink would also involve removing the quartz countertops so the cost is probably major. Here is our review we posted yesterday in Google & Yelp: Jim LaValle, owner of Renew Kitchen & Bath Design LLC appears to behave like a Scoundrel, in our opinion. Signing that Contract with Jim was a huge mistake that resulted in a nightmare! Jim's poor attitude of bullying us & ongoing abusive responses to us was the worst. Jim also warned us that if we ever reported our experience with him & his company in an online review, he would contradict it all, deny it all, to make us look bad & protect his company. He said that it would be his word against our word & that he would triumph. He may continue to fool people like us but there is Karma. Jim is highly articulate, an excellent writer appears to know a lot of psychology & is a great liar in our opinion, so he can fool many people. Here is a List of some things done by Jim. 1. Jim appears to be an expert at playing with the contract words, so if signing with Jim which we advise against, get a lawyer! Jim repeatedly lied to & terrorized us, weekly We had to re-do or correct a lot of the horrible work he declared completed when he wanted to be paid on Fridays. Jim writes the contract in a general format so that he has all the loophole advantages possible. He is not trustworthy. He appears to have learned a great deal of psychology & he used it against us & we are sure he will use it full force against you to reach his objective. Jim never provided us with a detailed itemized sheet of what the items cost. He lumped many things together so that we could be better deceived. 2. He took partial pictures of what he would present to us to claim that the entire job is completed well when in fact only a portion of the job was completed & mostly not finished or not finished properly. 3. He took pictures of our floor wet so that the porcelain tile floor looked clean & well done. In-person after the floor dried you could see that the tile was full of grout, discolored by acid to an extreme that the floors thru-out the house were completely damaged & totally ruined. 4. Jim said he has insurance, but he also said he did not want to make any insurance claims to replace our tile floors because his premium would go up. After we threaten to sue him, Jim asked us to give him time. Jim dragged changing the floor for weeks. Finally, he got the manufacturer to give him tiles for free that the manufacturer had stored on the side. Those tiles were different color tiles that we had picked originally. Jim limited us to two color tile choices since Jim was getting the tiles free from the manufacturer. Jim refused to go through his insurance & to let us have more than a two-color tile choice. 5. Jim refused to pay for our new baseboards that were damaged when they had to ripe out the damaged tile floors Jim's company installed. We ended up having to pay again over $1,000 to replace the new baseboards. The baseboards were damaged under Jim's responsibility, but he did not accept responsibility. 6. We are still finding problems including major problems such as we just found out, to begin with, that the reason most of our pots & pans do not fit in the Farmer's Sink Jim installed is because it is an irregular sink that Jim admittedly purchased from Amazon. The width of the sink is extremely & abnormally small so there is no company that makes a bottom sink grid with our sink's dimensions. Worst of all is that the reason we ordered the farmer's sink, to begin with, is for the convenience of fitting pots. . Jim installed a sink made in China & it is called Changie CJ1907. It is a horrible irregular farmer's sink. We asked Jim to replace it & he denied anything being wrong with the sink. Told us good luck with that. We asked Jim to redeem himself with sink or we would post the truth online & he said he could easily have the review removed! L

Response from ReNew Kitchen & Bath Design
I can't see the rest of this review but I can tell you that this project happened right at the very beginning of Covid. I'm sorry they feel like they had a bad experience, and I do not think the slander is warranted. These customers were from South Florida and only made selections one time at my showroom (we did an entire full house remodel which took months). They are blaming me for issues with the style of sink that they chose. I cannot be held responsible for someone selecting products. They had issues with a factory defect with the finish of their flooring, I worked through everything with them, and removed and replaced their entire floors. I think that should speak volumes to lengths that I will go for customer service. If something is genuinely my fault I always take responsibility (such as the floors). The bottom line is they selected a sink and then didn't like the way that it performed once they actually moved in and got a chance to use it (which was many months after the installation). They expected me to take out their countertops, and completely replace their countertops because of a sink they chose. I know for sure this what not my fault because they would have involved attorneys for sure. You cannot please everyone, and most people don't accept responsibility or accountability for their choices. Best of luck.
