The entire team at National HomeCraft earned 5 star rating starting with Kathy who responded right away on scheduling someone to come to our home for the free consultation. Followed then by Jeff Beback the representative who explained each step of the process to renovate our 30 year old shower. Demolition and then reconstruction with a beautiful acrylic shower was seamless with the work crew Scott and Brandon. They were punctual, hard working and very skilled at removing the old shower and installing the new. And we saved thousands going with National HomeCraft versus our first quote!! Overall an excellent experience start to finish!!

My mom and I moved to a new home about 2 years ago, and have been wanting to get a metal roof. We had a company picked out, but wanted to shop for options. Paul Stahlman came out with National Homecraft and Solar Shield Roofing. He showed us examples and proceeded to tell us why their roofing was better. The cost was more, but he also said they could do a roof over our patio. Part of the reason we decided to pay more was because 0% financing was available. We didn’t run our credit with any previous companies until we were sure what company we would use. Paul ran a hard credit check on both my mom and myself (of course lowering our credit score as expected) and we received approval for $5000 more than we even needed. We signed the contract and were told they would be out soon. We spoke to Paul a couple times on the timing of when the job would begin, and were looking at the week of Christmas (because he said they don’t stop working and this would be a great week to do it). 31 days after signing, and just a few days after speaking with Paul, we got a letter in the mail cancelling our contract with no explanation. When we called Paul, he said there was nothing he could do, it would cost us $5000 more to complete the project as the parts cost more. How funny that we just so happen to have approval for $5,000 more than the original quote. This company obviously has no value in their customer service, and simply wants to squeeze out every dime they can from their customers. Now our credit has been hit, and we still don’t have a new roof. We’re going to be saving to pay in cash with whatever company we choose, so this deceitful behavior doesn’t happen again. If you don’t mind paying more than the job is worth, and getting screwed over, this is the company for you.

We had our tile roof replaced by SolarShield in June 2019. The SolarShield crew was excellent. Showed up on time and cleaned up the work area every night before leaving for the day. Work was estimated to take 5 days, but they finished in 4 days. They do a quality, professional job. We expect no problems with this new roof for years and years to come.

Company was polite and informative. They were not hired as they don’t do roofing.

Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”

Checked around with other Companies to get an estimate on a metal roof after much research on the different styles and quality. Some never returned calls others told me they were really busy because of Hurricane ( DUH really ) would get in touch with me later. So that was pretty discouraging after doing all the research myself then no one to give a Quote. This being said I called Solar Solutions, they told me they would be out to the house by the end of the week, which I was Shocked. Frank came out around 2:00 pm and got on the roof and measured and drew a blueprint and measurements of complete roof. He explained the options which we told him we wanted it done right which was Pricey but the Old saying you pay for what you get. He told us to think about it not pushy at all. He said he had another appointment that he would come back to cover the roof with Blackjack tar after the appointment which it was about 6:00 pm now. (Free of Charge even if you don't get roof done by him) We said it will be getting dark, he said that's why they have flashlights. About 8:00 pm the wife said it sounds like something on the roof, it was him. That sealed the deal for us. He said that we don't have to decided this quick. But we did and signed contract with the deposit. The roof looks Great we got the metal shake shingles by Dura-Loc the job was done by a Very Professional Crew, the neighbors said their roofs were replaced by Cowboys and ours was replaced by Craftsmen which it took 8 eight days to finish, cleaned up each night like nothing was being done here. Our Utility bills have gone down over 40 percent which is great living in Florida air conditioner runs 11 months a year. Plus the air does not struggle at all. Figuring to replace it this year but it hardly runs and does not labor at all. Insurance is cheaper by about 10 percent but the neighbors all went up 25-30 percent plus we went from 2% deductible to $500.00 deductible so I would say it probably went down 45-50%. We are Super Happy with the workmanship of the job done by the companies Great Employees. They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by us.

Solarshield did a great job on our roof. House looks great and it is a talk of the neighborhood. We had to wait a few months to get the work started, but that just tells you that they are popular and backlogged with work. Once the work started the crew and Frank himself worked diligently. At times there were delays, some weather based, a few not. But in the end the work was done well, with just a few minor hiccups. If I had another house that needed a roof - Solarshield would be my first call for sure.

Frank returned our call within 24 hours and scheduled an appointment for an estimate of repairs. He was prompt and courteous. When repairs were made, Frank and his crew arrived when expected. Most of the back half of the roof metal had to be replaced due to removing the framework that held the solar panels. His crew removed the damaged metal from the roof starting in the afternoon and returned the next morning and finished all repairs in the early afternoon. They cleaned up the work area each day and left everything neat and orderly. The entire crew was professional, courteous, and efficient. It was a pleasure to have them do the work. Solarshield had originally installed the roof in 2005. His crew at that time was equally professional and great to work with.

Frank and his assistant Colby arrived promptly on schedule and inquired as to my concerns regarding roof leaks. Upon inspecting the 16 year old roof, they immediately and accurately identified multiple damaged areas and set about repairing one leak on the spot. As the more seriously damaged area required significantly more work, they agreed to return with the needed supplies to complete the job, which they did. As most homeowners, I have had many dealings with service providers over the years and seldom have I experienced the level of integrity and professionalism exhibited by this company. Frank advised me of the expected lifespan remaining in the roof and rather than try to sell me other than what was necessary, he did the repairs for a reasonable price in a timely manner. We have had some significant rain recently and the leaks are gone. Very relieved and pleased.

Not only does the roof look gorgeous it's efficient and quiet! It reduced our electric bill along with being cooler, it much quieter. We went with the insulated metal roofing system, which we would recommend, it takes a bit longer and it's more costly but worth the time and money. Frank and his team are friendly, straight forward, and easy to work with. They were efficient and clean, our neighbors even commented how much they appreciated how well they cleaned up each day to keep our road and driveway clear. We would highly recommend them for any roofing job!

We were promised a lifetime of a carefree roof but we received an inferior job that has leaked from the beginning, This fine job cost $ 20,000. They came back and said they would install a metal sheet under the metal panels in the valley to alieviate the problem. They lied & it wasn't done. I lost contact with them when they moved from Tampa to Ocala. Saw them on Angies list & sent a note which received no reply. We have had numerous roofers put bandaids on but the problem they say is an improper installation over shingles which always leads to problems. After Irma hurricane we are having to totally redo over half the roof at cost of $10000. Insurance won't even cover it because they also remarked on poor installation. Frank McKinney you'd better contribute or law suit is coming.

My fianceé and I recently had SolarShield Industries put a new metal roof on our home. I am more than ecstatic with the outcome. I can already tell a difference by how less frequent the A/C runs and how cool the home is. It also looks amazing. Everyone was very professional and friendly, especially Mr. McKinney, the sales rep./Owner, and their office staff coordinator, Mrs. Renee. I have been in construction for 15 years and know all the different aspects of building residential and commercial dwellings. I am also very attentive to detail. After seeing several of their jobs through the years, you cannot help to notice the craftsmanship and integrity in their work. So when it came time to have our roof done, I immediately had them in mind. They do not sound like the cheapest at first, but I can assure you that in the end they are fair, the same price, or cheaper, because of the work and quality materials you get for the money. I had several quotes that were lower, but they wanted to do unnecessary things that I knew did not need to be done, so they could find ways to increase the price after a contract was signed. Also, while using nothing but the best materials, they exceed the building codes and requirements, backed by a LIFETIME WARRANTY. If you are in the market for a new metal roof, I highly recommend them and stand behind my referral.

We had a new metal roof placed by Solarshield Industry Inc. Frank, the owner, is just fantastic; he made the process from the beginning to the end very easy and smooth. They started the day after we signed our contract. We were renovating our ~ 1500 sq/ft home and had to do our roof in 2 phases. Frank was very understanding and accommodated our needs. Ron and Chase performed the work. They were punctual, clean, and completed the job weeks before the contract ended. The workmanship of Ron and Chase is by far - exceptional. It is obvious, they really take pride in their work. Solarshield Industry Inc truly exceeded our expectations, we cannot be more pleased with the results. These guys are the best! After we discovered the damage, I sent some pictures to Solarshield. We agreed on a date for them to visit us at the house. Solarshield meticulously pulled out the damaged wood, replaced it, primed the wood and painted it. It looks amazing! We are so happy with their workmanship, punctuality, and overall class act.

Everything went great! The project took about 2 weeks. The old tar/gravel roof was removed and a new metal roof was installed on 3/4 of the house. The other 1/4 required TPO since it was a completely flat area. A lot of the old wood had to be replaced due to the age and termite activity. Flashing up around the chimney is holding up great and a part of my old rainwater collection gutter system was even reinstalled on the new roof. The fascia and soffit looks great too. We've been through 5-6 rain storms already and there has been no leaks. The wood around the garage was replaced and then the whole thing was wrapped in vinyl for a clean look. Two end features on the peak of the house were wrapped as well and it made the house look very clean and neat. As for cleanup, for the most part all went well. As can be expected, a few old roofing nails were found, but not that many. A few short pieces of metal roofing and a few leftover panels were left behind as well as a bag of screws. (We made a shed with them) Overall we were very satisfied. Other roofing companies we called were quoting us $18-20K without the addition of the extra wood and the cost of the fascia/soffit or the garage repair.

Solar Shield should receive a TRIPLE A rating. Frank was willing to explain every detail that the installation of a standing seam metal roof would require. The two crews that worked on the roof were very professional and did an outstanding job. They were very careful when working on the roof. The crews cleaned up so that we didn't need to do any outside work when they left the job. I would hire them again - but a standing seam metal roof has a very very long life so we should not need a new roof for over 50 plus years.

We wouldn’t consider using anyone else. The buck stops with Frank; he supervises the work himself and came to rectify minor issues that we had after the work was done. He prides himself on his work and satisfied customers are his ultimate goal. He's very laid back and a calming and cheerful presence in the midst of the upheaval a new roof inevitably entails. An example of his going above and beyond: we thought there was some leakage into a house and Frank came down specifically to check it out. Before we arrived to meet him (it was my mother’s house) he got up on the roof and blew out the gutters for us. It turned out rain was blowing in through a gable vent and Frank offered to have a hood fabricated and shipped to us for us to install. Who else would have taken the trouble to rectify a problem not of his making? We recommend him without reservation.

Great, very professional, workmanship is excellent. The windows are beautiful and very sound proof as well as keeping the cold and heat out. Temperature of house with new windows is steady. As the door were being put in he cleaned up excellent. Had no touch up on paint inside or out, Great company to deal with.

I contacted the company after they advertised in my neighborhood after the hurricanes. So a rep from the company Luke McKinney came out, did some figuring and told me it was gonna be $11,000 for the roof. We signed a contract days later and Luke told me all I had to do was pick a tile and we can set a date to do the work. So after several calls,, text messages and missed appointments by Luke, he finally told to call in to the office to schedule a date. So I called 352-237-5200 and that lady that answered the phone at that time told me that they could not do the work. Never heard anything from Luke or the owner telling me that they would not do the job. Mind you the time here is over a month of being strung along by Luke. They said they will mail my check but its been over a week since the conversation with the office manager. This is not only the worst roofing company I have dealt with, this is the worst company in all endeavors I have every dealt with. Most unprofessional company in America. I can't state strongly enough to stay away from Solarshield Industries, Inc.

Had already gotten some other estimates from other companies, but upon asking further questions, they disappeared. Solarshield came out when they said, gave an estimate and estimated time to start which was just about when I had wanted to have it done - before hurricane season. Frank the owner was out there too, he and the crew answered all my questions. These guys pay attention to details too. They put tarps all around the house to catch as much of the roof debris as possible. My fascia board was rather discolored, so they even cleaned that while the drip edge was off the roof. Also another detail, when they finished the roof, they got matching paint to paint the new j-vent for the stove vent, the sewer gas vents, and the metal chimney. It took about 5 days (all together) to redo my roof. This was a complete strip down, wind mitigation rehab, with the new standing seam covered screw metal roof with one valley, five hips and two ridge vents. There was only one very small leak at the chimney, when I called, Frank came out to fix it. After that, we had 3 tropical systems come calling (one with 6" of rain!) and not a leak to be seen. Solarshield supplied pictures and documents of the wind mit items (duplicates) for insurance and with my next renewal, my insurance premium went down by at least 30% just due to the new roof! If you are on the fence about getting a metal roof, do it if you can manage the slight extra cost. I believe that in the next few years, benefits from reduced insurance, reduced electric bills, eventual set up of solar on the roof without having to reroof again any time soon afterwards, and peace of mind will pay off greatly. I won't have to worry about the roof during my retirement!

Once the new windows arrived they were installed quickly with no mess to clean up. Old windows were taken away.

LOOK! Another awesome job by Solarshield Industries Roofing. I originally called 3 companies for roof estimates. Solarshield came out within 2 days of my call. I was so impressed with the Solarshield system of roofing, the quality of their materials, and the transferable lifetime warranty, that I made my decision to go with Solarshield. I already had one other estimate, and cancelled the third. Every statement made to me by the Solarshield salesman regarding terms, time frames, quality of their materials and workmanship was only exceeded by their performance. The office manager was always informative, polite, and kept me up to date on all work scheduled. The installers are craftsmen. The work is precision. The workplace was cleaned up every day, regardless of the time they left my premises. I could NOT have made a better choice than Solarshield Industries, and they were recommended to me by former Solarshield customers. Can't get better than that!

Excellent, amazing! They were on time ,actually ahead of schedule. They were professional, they cleaned up,no additional costs just a great company. The owner who is very nice was present for the entire job. Every time I called or E-mailed they responded immediately. By far the best experience I have ever had with a contractor or any company. The Roof has made a huge difference in our home air comfort and the electric costs are down 20-30%.
