+ -1 moreAnd the ultimate irony - at one time he was apparently capable of doing decent work. The original driveway on our farm was done by this same guy more than 25 years ago and it is holding up better than his recent work.
Description of Work: As per the other negative review - DO NOT LET THIS GUY ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR PROPERTY. Should have known better when each time we saw him he was in a fishing shirt instead of work clothes. He was hired by our general contractor to install a new driveway on our farm and widen the approach at the road and install a culvert. All of the work and I mean every last bit of it is defective. Some we have already paid to have redone. The work over the culvert is collapsing. Insufficient limerock to create a proper base. The edges are spalling. He dumped old ashpalt elsewhere on our farm instead of hauling it away. We're still finding buried asphalt in our pasture 6 years later. Jack Kelly himself was supposedly on the roller when he hit and broke our then brand new concrete slab. We had him bury 4 pipe chases so we wouldn't have to tear up the driveway if we ever wanted to bring water or power across. Against our instructions and those of our contractor he buried them too shallow. All 4 of those areas broke and have since had to be redone. Jack Kelly's one time solution - heat up a shovel with a propane torch and smooth over the crack. Great permanent fix. Worked for about a day. After that - dozens of phone calls - no replies.
