A terrible four month experience!!! Would not recommend Homespaces to others!!! No supervision of sub contractors. Poor workmanship. Wrong cabinets and doors ordered and delivered and I had to pay extra to get the correct materials. Installers were unpredictable. Electrician and plumber did not show up as planned. Mr. Lavelle did not respond to my calls or e-mails in a timely fashion. Expensive granite counter top is rough and Mr. Lavelle would not replace. Power tools missing from the garage. Workman poured left over grout down storm sewer. Dumped scrap tile cuttings in the shrubbery. Carpet to tile transitions are crude and workman chipped porcelain tiles when nailing carpet tack strips. Night before final payment was planned Mr. Lavelle sent a threatening e-mail re placing a lien on our property if we did not pay in full in the AM .

It was a good experience. They did a really good job. They were easy to work with and reputable

Issues included wrong size cabinets,wrong color and finish on doors and cabinets, poor workmanship, repeat returns by Home Spaces subcontractors to correct shoddy work by granite countertop installers, poor application of granite sealer and caulking by granite installers, long delays for cabinet and door replacements, holidays spent with no kitchen cabinets, half kitchen, kitchen with 15 doors being removed for replacement, above stove microwave venting has changed due to incorrect cabinet measurement, no timely return of voice calls or emails from Jim Lavalle. Soft close issues not adequately resolved. Threat to place lien if final payment not made even though we have never refused to make our required payments. We delayed final payment trying to resolve this. Homeowner forced to call cabinet manufacturer to seek their help in dealing with color and finish variations after Jim stated by email he had done everything in his power to fix this, he said he would give us info on how to induct warranty on cabinets with the manufacturer after final payment. Thankfully a representative made the long trip to our home on 5/2/14 to see the color differences and offered to replace all top doors at no cost to us but he would have to get approval from Home Spaces to arrange for removal. Approval on 5/14/14. Doors removed on 5/27/14 by Home Spaces. Waited over 30 days for Home Spaces to re-install replacement doors on 6/30/14. Half of final payment paid on 5/27/14 when doors removed. Final payment made on 6/30/14 to Home Spaces when doors re-installed. It took another 24 days for Home Spaces to cash final check after waiting 23 days to question amount paid. Don't know if we will get a paid in full invoice. Didn't ask for one yet. Do know in our opinion, it should never have taken this long to complete this project. (8 1/2 months new install) We have buyers remorse and caution others to beware when dealing with Home Spaces.

Their cabinet refacing and resurfacing is fabulous. It's good that it's a non-toxic product with no smell. They did a beautiful job; it's very pretty. It was just great. They contracted the whole thing. They used sub-contractors. A lot of it was subcontracted. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Haven't gone ahead with any work as of yet. Very friendly and cordial.

Homespaces of Ocala's service is great. I was pleased with the outcome.

Not good. Although contractually bound in writing to rehang a mirror in the master bathroom along with other accessories, the contractor refused. He said he'd done his share of work. We had to pay a separate company to come out and hang the mirror in the master bath at a cost of over $120. There was also in my wife's portion of the bathroom a chipped sink, which we've been waiting for more than four months to replace. He was to come out today, but as like other instances, he was a no-show. I called and he said he'd be out later, but my wife works a later shift, so that wouldn't work. When they redid the shower, there was a light. They cut a whole out for the shower light. I asked if they would replace the light and they told me no, that it's not part of their job. I had to replace it myself otherwise there would've been a whole in the shower ceiling. The coordination between the people doing the work was terrible. One guy would never ever show up on time. Finally they got into the process of blaming us for the chip in the sink. It was constantly our fault for things that went wrong. The guy that refinished the cabinetry, Kenny, was responsive and did a good job, though. Today, we decided that we were done dealing with this company. One of the reasons that we began this process to begin with was because we had black mold in the bathroom. They did not do a thorough job of remediating the mold problem. I ripped out the drywall that had been done and there was the black mold on the rotten wood. They were just going to cover it right up and go on about their business.

They were quick and their pricing was competitive.
