We absolutely LOVE our new floors. Dave single-handedly scraped the thick finish off of our old floors showing the beauty in the natural wood beneath. They are so beautiful. There is Nothing like a DM Hardwoods hand scraped floor. We have used him before and we will definitely use him again.

Dave did all the work, and has had many years of experience, knowledge and skill. He has won countless national awards over the years and they are all very well deserved. His price is reasonable and you will not be disappointed with the outcome. He does an incredible job of hand scrapping to give the wood an unique character like no other! We highly recommend this technique for your flooring!! He also did an absolutely incredible inlay in our entry. It is over-the-top GORGEOUS! The entire experience with Dave was very positive, he goes above and beyond in his work, making the final result stunning beyond words!!

Dave does an AMAZING job! He’s a true artist - everything he touches is done perfectly - beyond expectations. He shows up when he says he will, is respectful and kind, works incredibly hard, and is responsive to our requests. We started out wanting “wood floors” and based on such a good experience working with him we have expanded our job to include hand-scraping the floors, a custom inlay for the entry way, painting all the interior rooms, and are in the process of designing a hand-built table Dave will make for our dining room! Amazing work! I was lucky to have this master craftsman redo my floors here in Gainesville. If he is available, don't hesitate, book him immediately. He hadn't scraped and refinished my 100+ year old wood floors which would have never survived a traditional machine sanding. Kudos to David for having the knowledge to know what do do with these floors and the skills to do the work. I would absolutely hire him again and I've passed on his info to a bunch of other people. If you want the highest quality work from a master woodworker, get in touch with this guy!

We installed 5 inch hand scraped solid plank flooring stained dark walnut. The floors are beautiful and exactly what I asked for. We had a pine flooring staircase Dave scraped and stained to match the dark walnut flooring in the rest of the house. The entire bottom floor was completed. Highly recommend Dave Marzalek.

My wife hired them to do my entry while I was out of town on business. I not only had him do my whole house in California, Sun Valley Idaho, Aspen CO, Boca Raton Florida and Austin TX. An artist as well as craftsman. Unbelievable and I'm not impressed easily.

Dave is one of the hardest working people I’ve met. He was always at the job sites early and ready to go. His pricing is competitive. The project went extremely smooth. Dave was able to deliver a design to our foyer that won Hardwood Floor of the Year for best Entry Way! He is very professional and knows every trick in the book. He hand scraped aver 3,000 sf of walnut in our house and we couldn't be happier! Great guy and easy to get along with! He started off with some drawings and came up with a game plan quickly, we ordered the wood, let it acclimate and he started scraping it before it was installed. He installed an 8 ft. medallion with about 15 different kinds of wood and inlayed it into a basketweave pattern with 4x4" square granite tiles. Site finished it with 3 coats of an amazing product, like I said, we were more than pleased with Dave.

Dave is a true craftsman. His skill and artistry are an unparalleled combination. His dedication to his craft and clients is 5 star!

He took a new floor and ruined it. The floor has now scratch marks all over it, the cracks between the boards that he said would be filled are bigger than ever, we have globs of sealant, there are rough areas on the floor, and all the base boards had to be repainted due to scratch marks he left. He said it would take one week and it took around a month. There are also places where there isnt sealant at all what so ever.
