So many other water filtration companies to go with other than this company. Besides the fact they blew my well pump on multiple cleaning services that I had monthly with them and I had to pay FOR THEIR MISTAKE OUT OF MY pocket to fix what they broke and finally having enough we cancelled monthly service they still charged us for cleaning services fraudulently. But let's add fuel to the fire the women representing this company on the phone are absolutely miserable after you buy the system they act as if they own your soul talking to you with the absolute most disrespect. The day after a horrific hurricane that we sustained horrible damage relocating me and my family of 5, they wanted to pick up it system even after a payment, although I was behind do to very horrific unforseen natural disasters they do not care because they go home and have miserable lives and come into work miserable and feel everyone else should be miserable which is no one's fault but their own. I'll never recommend this company. They will be nice on the beginning but I promise they will show their true nature. STAY AWAY!!!!

We moved to FL May 7 2021. We had horrible tasting water and called culligan immediately. They came out May 11 and said we had great water and that a water softener was all we needed at the price of nearly $4,200. We signed up! We were supposed to get a follow up visit within 2 weeks, never happened. We tried reaching our sales rep several times and finally when she responded over a month later said she broke her leg. We told her of the issues with the water and she directed us to the 1-800#. They sent an agent who cleaned our pipes, advised he thinks we should have been sold the chlorination system ($5k roughly) and Jen isn’t that good with testing water. Advised to call back if issues continue. They did, we did. Jen then advised she no longer was with the company and to call the 1-800#. We called the 1-800 #, we advised it was important due to the fact that my husband got an ear infection from the water and it burns my eyes. They had someone call and try and sell me another system for $2,500, when I explained the issue I was having he abruptly said well you have a service call on 9/10 you can tell them. Then that was cancelled the day of and reschedule for 9/14 due to an issue on their end. Then on 9/14 after waiting all day, the service guy called and said that I needed a chlorination system that would be an additional $2,500. I again said that I need this escalated cause I spent 4200 on a softener I didn’t need when I needed a chlorination system. He told me his boss would call me. His boss called two days later. Advised that the area manager Jen who sold me the system no longer worked there and what he believes may have happened was that she sold me a softener cause it was a cheaper sale and she was concerned about her commission if she proposed the system I actually needed due to cost. He did state he can not confirm this is what happened but this is something that they have experienced in the past. He then advised I needed a system that would clean my water or a néw well and he could give me a great deal on the rest of the system and would call back the following day. Two days later he called back and offered to give me the rest of the system for $2,500 and it was complex and he recommended a $60 a month service plan. I asked to instead have the softener replaced with the system I needed at no cost. He said someone would call me the following day to schedule this and they would train us how to use. They called and offered an appointment a week out. I accepted because that was the best they could offer. That was scheduled for yesterday morning. They called at 9 and advised the service guy called in and they needed to reschedule. I asked for Ken the service manager to call me back. I was crying out of utter frustration . It has been months now with no clean water, Wearing ear plugs while we shower. The lady on the phone said Ken would call me promptly. No call all day. Today, I call again and was advised Ken could not accept my call cause he just stepped into a closed door meeting. I asked the lady what his last name is and she stated that she was not able to share that info. I had his cell number and it states his name on the VMbut I just can’t understand what it says. Weird they don’t share full names? Ken called back and stated that the guy who was supposed to come to my service call yesterday was really sick. When I advised that I’m sorry to hear that but I am tired of the excuses and them not following through. He told me that I was selfish and only thought of myself and that there are other people in the world too. At which point I advised I should do a write up about this in my community paper. This is when he reminded me the Culligan was a big corporate and I better watch out what I say about them, whatever that means. Then he advised I needed to back down, I then asked him to step up and provide a product and service that met my needs. He again reminded me of how selfish I was being and I ended the call in tears. I am sorry their service guy is sick, but I deserve something of quality to me for my $4,200 purchase and Culligan has yet to deliver. At this point I want them to come get the equipment and give me my money back so I can give my business to someone with a little follow through but they won’t. All I can do is share my story and go else where to get clean water because Culligan will not correct this. I am at a loss of $4,200 and medical costs.

I called them out a couple times because I was experiencing a blue color to my water. The system is 3 years old and they had one excuse after another. They do not have a bypass valve to shutdown the water once a month which will help cleanse the water piping system. This is required by the town The Villages in Florida. As of right now the system is completely shutoff and I do not have any water filtration or water softener and I have about $3000 worth of equipment just standing still.

Response from Culligan of Ocala FL
We at Culligan do not dispute the incident or timeline of what (Member name removed) is implying. We do however dispute her claim that there is not a by pass on our system or that we did not answer her call to resolve her issue. The system (Member name removed) purchased is intended to soften her water and is doing exactly what it is designed to do. The bypass is built in to the equipment and can simply be bypassed by turning the blue knob clockwise. The other part of her equipment is a simple canister/cartridge filter intended to help reduce chlorine from her municipal water supply. If the filter is removed, the canister will be empty and therefore allows chlorine to enter her system bypassing any filtration. Neither of these two pieces of equipment are intended to reduce total dissolved solids which would be her drinking water concern. As she stated she purchased a Reverse Osmosis drinking machine from EQA. That is what will purify her water for drinking if it is working properly. On 10-26-16 we explained that an extra bypass can be installed and set up an appointment for our Area Manager to visit (Member name removed) and explain options on 11-11-16. On 11-9-16 (Member name removed) called us and cancelled that appointment. We have attempted to call (Member name removed) on 11-10-16 and 11-11-16 to help her resolve her issue.

I've had them for 10-11 years. Sometimes they can't get out when something's not working. It takes them awhile. They've told me when they're going to come and they haven't showed up. They're not always here.

Technician was scheduled to report after 1:30 pm, on 9/22/06, he arrived in at 11:30AM. When I was not home, he told my wife that the problem was a power valve. The estimate for the Power Valve Rebuild was $129. On 9/29/2006, a different Technician was dispatched and he disagreed with the prior Technician. He checked a couple of water lines, reassembled the unit, and it worked properly.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE HAD THREE. WE HAVE PUT ONE IN ALMOST EVERY HOUSE WE HAVE OWNED HERE IN FLORIDA. THE SALESPEOPLE ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THIS LAST ONE WE HAD PUT IN WAS A BIT HARDER BECAUSE OF WHERE THE WATER ENTERED THE HOUSE. THEY HAD TO DIG UP THE FRONT YARD. IT WAS A FULL DAYS WORK, BUT THEY GOT IT DONE AND CLEANED UP THE YARD TO OUR SATISFACTION
