Conrad Tree Service

Called & left message on Monday; got return call on Tuesday saying the arborist would be at my house within 24 hours to give an estimate. I'm still waiting for that estimate almost a week later. If he hadn't intended to show up, then they should have said so.

I own a rental property in Ocala that unfortunately was not properly maintained by my most recent tenants. Confounding the problem was also that my property manager was negligent in his duties to maintain the property to an acceptable standard. Due to these factors, I recently drove down from North Carolina to assess the damage, fire my previous property manager and initiate repairs on the house to get it back into “rentable” shape. One of the largest jobs I knew would need to be done would be to get extensive landscaping and tree cutting work done. I called seven different tree services, three answered, or called me back and two actually showed up to bid the job. Cliff at Conrad Tree Service met me at the property Tuesday afternoon to give an estimate. He was punctual, and unlike the previous company that showed up to bid, actually had a clipboard with a estimate worksheet to write down all the work that needed to be done. He was very professional and personable and took the time to not only make recommendations on what work needed to be done but also to explain the why. Cliff also explained that Conrads Tree Service carries workman’s comp insurance unlike many other tree trimming services in the area. When getting estimates be sure to ask about this as it’s not the same as just being “insured”. This not only protects their employees in case of injury, but also the owner of the property from litigation. The job was quite extensive and I was pleasantly surprised when he said they could have the job done by that Thursday! This was excellent news as the other company who bid the job would not be able to get to it for a week and a half. Getting the work done this quickly meant I would be able to get tenants in that much faster, potentially saving me hundreds of dollars. As promised Cliff and his crew completed the work Thursday afternoon, and because I had to drive back to North Carolina Wednesday he was kind enough to send me pictures of the work they completed. When Cliff found out I was in the military he was also kind enough to throw in a generous military discount. I was completely satisfied with the entire process and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get tree work done.
