First stage of the move was the packing of glasses, glassware, pictures, and household items that get boxed up. Mostly breakables. We had 4 packers that came and worked all day. Second stage was the actual movers themselves who took what was packed and wrapped up and packed the furniture that were not already in boxes. They packed it into the truck. They were very professional. They took great care. We haven?t had any breakage or damage. We have 9 mos to file a claim which is nice. They took a lot of care with electronics, fragile items, and furniture. And everything was clean which was very important. The process was very good. We drove cross country in our other car. They arrived 2 days later. They unpacked and set up the bed. That went very smoothly as well. We were a little concerned b/c our street is narrow. On a narrow street. Only glitch is that they said we could charge the move to our charge card, and we thought that was an easier thing to do than provide a certified check. We worked it out that we would give them all the credit card information so after they can charge us afterwards. They would notify us of the amount and we would notify the bank so they could charge the card. We did that, but they ended up charging us a lot more. They charged us 13,000 instead of 10,000 and recognized they made the error and tried to fix that with the bank. This went on for a few days. This wasn?t the smoothest operation. It was finally straightened out. It was just a matter of working through the issue with the bank and the movers. The movers were responsive, but it just took a lot of time and I had to get involved. The bank was at fault also, but we got it straightened out and we?re happy.
