Description of Work: Brett arrived before I did. I had him do another inspection so I was familiar with his work. He takes his time to get it right and answers any questions as he goes. The report is is very detailed and easy to follow. It contains many pictures with indications of problem areas. Very highly recommended!

Description of Work: full inspection of 30 yr old house

Description of Work: I'm a real estate investor. I've purchased a number of houses over the past 30 years but, I would never buy a house without having it inspected by a qualified individual. I've had Brett inspect 5 houses over the past 6 months. The most recent inspection was a few days ago. Brett spends about 2 or 3 hours on each house. I've tagged along on each inspection so as to learn as much as possible about the house. (Brett says he doesn't mind.) So, I've had a chance to evaluate Brett as Brett inspects the house. Brett starts an inspection by going over the outside of the house. He can point out settling cracks, bad drainage, wiring problems, missing covers and numbers of items that a non professional just doesn't see. Inside the house he checks wiring, plumbing, windows, screens, insulation, flooring and a number of other items. He can point out where something just doesn't meet code. He's also a good detective -- figuring out why something was left the way it was or why a wall has stains. I particularly appreciate his spotting something that just isn't safe. During the inspection, Brett takes pictures of anything worth noting. A few days after the inspection he e-mails a book documenting every issue. The most recent book prints out over 1/4 inch thick with over a hundred photos.
