I wish I would have seen a huge advisor to KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND ALL PARTIES INVOLVED WITH THEM!!! They are theives!!! Charging my insurance company for stuff they didnt do. Charging me for things outside of what the Insurance company authorized. (that I did not agree to). Several of my personal things went missing, as well as household items, Sink, Faucet, Garbage Disposal, Outlets, remotes to fans, light, ect....USAA has them on a Contractor List, my unfortunate and very unpleasant experience to have had them come up on rotation for the repairs to my home. What was supposed to be a simple Roof , floor and paint job turned out to be anything but.... The "Project Manager" or lack thereof was never there to oversee the work that was being perfomed. My kitchen cabinets were destroyed along with the walls and electrical that I had just done and permited. Paul Davis did work without the proper Permits. I was left to pay for Fines from the city for work performed without a permit. Gordon the owner is a liar and he stated that my home received several coats of paint (4) to be exact. I have video showing their workers only doing 2 and not even a good job at that. I had to hire another painter to come in a fix and repaint all the walls in the house, to include all the baseboards that were painted black and in doing so stained the bottom the white walls and new TIle.... The paint started peeling all along the baseboard area. And in several spots. you can clearly see where a paint brush never touched the walls!!! You might as well forget about mentioning this to the owner Gordon as he does not give to ***** about the workmanship, he just wants to charge the insurance companies and YOU for shady work being perfomed. I come and post this with all the PROOF and will post in due time to expose this theif!!! The Sub-Contractors he deals with have said nothing nice or good about him/company. One contractor that I had to call to come out and finish the work that he was paid by Insurance company to do, advised he was unaware that Paul Davis was using his company to pull permits. under!! What?! Then I had to pay this subcontractor out of my own pocket. That happened with 2 other sub-contractors.IF YOU DONT AGREE OR ARE UNHAPPY WITH THE WORK, WELL YOURE OUT OF LUCK... HE WILL PLACE A LIEN ON YOUR HOUSE!!! Instead of being an honest person and come to you to fix whatever you are unhappy with, he chooses the dishonest way out.Grab your money and go. The aftermath of what was done to my home and family, I would not wish on ANYONE. PLEASE I strongly suggest you heed my WARNING. His motto for his busness is purely fictional., He is not helping anyone but himself to your money! You are a bad bad person Gordon Berken, you know what you did to my home and family, shame on you!!!!! You will either learn from this and straighten your company and work ethics or I hope your buisness closes so you cant do this to anyone else!!!!

Paul Davis was chosen by my insurance company. The then manager for the project was great. He listened to my concerns and needs and was ready and willing to oblige. The work progressed and then it was ready for painting. Paul Davis had a contractor, not selected by the then manager, to do the painting. The contractor along with the actual painter were horrible. I could have done a better job. The painter did not know that new walls had to be primed first, nor did he tape anything to keep the paint where it needed to be. He did not even take off wall plates. There was residual paint everywhere. It was slap it on job. I had to buy the painting equipment! The contractor was always in a rush coming late to do his part and the painter ended up doing some of his work and doing it horribly. The painter did not even know what type of paint is appropriate for different areas, such as bathrooms. The white frames for my impact windows were also covered in paint, now navy! Neither of them cleaned up anything. I had them come back to remedy and that was a fruitless event. I could not be in the apartment much of the time, there was no flooring yet or furniture. During the renovation of removing and replacing walls, etc., some of my belongings had to be packed in boxes so as not to be damaged. There were a few items though, that were. The new manager Josh Levin, for Paul Davis came and surveyed the work done and was also shown the damaged items. It was agreed by Josh that I would be compensated for the damaged articles and that the work would be redone. I have been in contact with the Paul Davis Co., primarily Karen Killen Controller, Josh Levin V.P. Emergency Services many times through phone conversations. I sent pictures of the items and yes Paul Davis would be taking care of me. Nothing. They have done nothing, and will not even communicate with me to advise why they believe they are not obliged to reimburse me for the items they damaged. Nothing! I am very aware that sometimes with the best care taken, something might go wrong. For me, that is not the worst part, it is the denial of any responsibility to make things right and then be completely ignored. I tried to contact the owner of this franchise, impossible. My last conversation was with Karen Killen, Controller. She was having a meeting with the owner the following day and would contact me. There was no call, nor would she return any of my messages. The amount of damages is less than $500! I would never us this particular company again. They have not shown any degree of integrity and responsibility. One last comment. The beginning of the project with the first manager was going fairly well. He left Paul Davis shortly after and went to a different Paul Davis franchise.

I will highly recommend them and use them, again.

Everything was great. Gordon and his team worked very hard. Gordon was in constant contact with us through the whole process. You can count on this company for everything. We were so lucky to have them do all of our work.

Excellent! No smell of moisture, no signs of mold. I couldn't be happier with the outcome or the service.

He was punctual and thorough

I asked the provider specifically to not mention any mold presence or issues to my tenants and to tell me directly. He ended up telling my tenants that there was mold, which completely freaked them out and caused a lot of issues for me. I asked him not to let them know and that I would get it all removed without them knowing to not cause them to stress. I am very unhappy with the fact that he could not follow instructions. I would like my money back.

I discovered what looked like mold under a small patch of carpet. The area had a water stain from a previous leak. I found Paul Davis Restoration of Broward on Angies List and they were highly recommended by a friend. They scheduled the mold inspection very quickly and Chad showed up promptly, as scheduled. He performed the mold inspection and took samples. The lab report was received in a timely manner and confirmed the presence of mold. I received a thorough report and quote for mold cleanup and testing only. I submitted the report and quote to my insurance carrier and the service was approved that day, which was Thursday. The remediation process started the following Tuesday and took 3 days per the quote. Chad showed up at the time scheduled and he was very professional. The actual work required fewer resources than quoted and the final price was adjusted accordingly, to my satisfaction. Chad discovered a small section of drywall with mold and it was removed. The a/c and all ducts were also thoroughly cleaned on Wednesday. The company contracted to do the ducts also arrived on time as scheduled and were very professional. The area was inspected and tested on Thursday by a 3rd party inspector and they received the final report on Friday confirming successful mold remediation. Chad came out immediately and removed the plastic and equipment. I requested a quote to replace the drywall and said if it was within a certain price range I would use them. The following Monday morning I got a call from Paul Davis saying they could do the work that day. The price was right and they were there within an hour. Jessie was very professional and got the job done quickly. Overall, Paul Davis was very professional and extremely prompt on every aspect of the job, including the subcontractors. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

The owner, Mr. Berken, is a micromanager who consistently oversaw the project by visiting the site or calling in the evening to check the progress and to insure all was going well. Mr. Berken offered to go with me to assist in selection of tile and a kitchen sink which was appreciated since I had no idea what would be best and within my budget or that of the monies allowed by the insurance company. As with any project of this size, there were issues that came up from time to time. They were quickly resolved by either Mr. Berken, his project coordinator or his workmen who also did their best to please. It was my experience that Paul Davis Restoration of Broward is committed to insuring customer satisfaction and I was very happy with the end result.

Still waiting for them to begin the restoration. We have found the problem lies with the mortgage company, communication, and losing the insurance check. We are trying to resolve at this time.

Had a few issues with the owner in the beginning but the they eventually delivered .

They are extremely efficient, pleasant to work with, accommodating and professional. While I was taking a flight from NY to FL to assess all of the damage, they were already hard at work and addressing the situation for me. They stayed until the job was completely finished and addressed all issues in a timely basis. I hope I don't ever go through this again, but if I have the need, I will immediately go to Paul Davis Restoration.

The serviceman was out within an hour. Had fans and other machinery. Set everything up and within two days you could not tell we had the problem.

Overall, excellent communication and service - problem with painter who didn't speak English. It was remedied.

It went just fine. They were prompt and customer service oriented. They gave us a fair quote. We were very happy with them.

They were prompt and they are a good company but we went with someone else. We were just more comfortable with the person from the other company. The estimate was good and they were able to talk through everything.

Bob the manager called after seeing the damage, wrote up estimate, approved by the insurance company and completed the work as promised.

The removal of kitchen cabinets, walls, appliances, etc. and actual mold mitigation, under the managment of Ed Triana, went extremely well. The restoration process was more difficult with some initial gaps in communication with the individual who began the supervision of the process. However, when Ed Triana assumed the management/supervision of the restoration process, all went very well. The workers who were sent by Ed were professional, skilled, thoughtful, and respectful of me and my home. They were careful with the containment of the debris and mess. The rest of my home was really quite well protected. The whole process took 2 or so months and was quite invasive because of the severity of the mold problem. Ed was very helpful and supportive - especially when my stress levels were at their highest!

He was very prompt, very polite, the price was just higher than I was willing to spend on the job. Very professional, very friendly, he was a very nice person. I just didn't think the job warranted the price he quoted.

I would recommend this company to any home that sustained water damage.

We had an overall good experience with them completing the work. They did it within the budget and they did it professionally. I would use them again.

The remodel went beautifully. The contractors were completely professional, courteous, punctual and clean. Gordon kept in constant communication with us including sending us pictures throughout the day as they finished different pieces of the project. We are completely thrilled with the finished result. The remodel began on a Monday morning and as promised the contractors showed up on time. They installed a plastic zip wall to block off the main part of the house from the guest bath so that the dust particles wouldn't infiltrate the entire house. Then they used an air scrubber to also assist with keeping dust/dirt to a minimum. They gutted the entire bathroom the first day and began cutting tile. By the second day the entire bathroom had been tiled and the plumbing had been changed. They were done with the entire bathroom in 5 days which is amazing. There were a few items that remained on our punch list after they were done - just cosmetic changes - and they were handled immediately and the end result is perfection. We've already asked Gordon to quote us for a few other jobs we would like to do around the house. Gordon's estimates were pretty much spot on and the final cost was less than 0.02 percent different than the estimate. His contractors really treated our house as if it were there own and I felt that the communication level was superb. We are very pleased and are most certainly going to do business with them again and would recommend PDR to anyone who asks.
