Keenan Window & Door

Actually came a day earlier than planned and finished a day earlier. Punctual, friendly and clean!

We had used Keenan before to replace the 1950's original roll out windows on our home. When we refinanced, we worked with Keenan to include in our refi package, the amount we needed to bring out entire home up to date with impact/hurricane windows and doors. Keenan worked with us to maintain a budget we wanted to keep, align our plans with our refinance, match the first install with the second. We went back and forth with Dan for about a week making decisions on doors, styles, windows, etc. Such patience! This part of the process alone which could have been the most nerve wrecking, the process was smooth, painless and sensitive to our needs. (not including how much we changed our minds). Keenan worked with us in accordance with our refinance, scheduled our job, ordered our products and arrived on the day scheduled at 8 AM to begin the install. The install team was excellent! These guys came in, did their work, were mindful of our home, our belongings and worked around 2 dogs, who wanted to be a part of their process the whole time. 8 Windows, 3 doors installed in less than 2 days, the inspection happened the next day. Done! I love the windows, Keenan reframed the doors to fit the new hurricane standards, I already feel how cooler and brighter our house is. I would recommend and have recommended this company to anyone who is thinking about new windows or doors!

Our sales person, Ken, provided the qoute and scheduled the work to be performed. Ken is extremely knowledgable of impact doors and widows and simplified the process for us. The workers showed up as scheduled and completed the work within 6 hours. Ken had scheduled a follow up inspection following the installation and showed up as scheduled. We went over a few minor issues which Ken addressed immediately. We are very pleased with the door and the attention Ken provided to us throughtout the process.

When we decided to have all the windows and doors replaced, we looked on Angie's list and I called three of the top rated providers. Keenan Window and Screen and two others came out to give a free estimate. The owner was the one that came to my house and was punctual and friendly. He answered the questions I had at the moment and had the quote back to us in two days. Keenan Window and Screen was not the cheapest quote we got and it wasn't the most expensive either, but both my husband and I felt that if the initial encounter with the owner was any indication of how his employees were then it would be a good experience. Dan came to my house a couple weeks later to measure all the openings again to confirm the measurements before placing the order. Because none of our window openings are standard (our house was built in 1946), some of the measurements were a little off, so he made an apointment to come back with his lead installer, Jason. I was glad I had the opportunity to meet Jason before the job was started; he was knowledgable, friendly and I felt confident about the installation after he answered more questions that I had. Dan was easy to get in touch with when I had questions about whether or not to remove the window sills, how I should prepare the house for the work to begin, etc. I never felt as though he was rushing me off the phone; he explained things until I felt like I understood. The doors were installed ahead of time by a different installer, who said that he frequently works with Keenan and other window companies in the area. He was friendly and had good things to say about Keenan. The removal and installation of the two doors took about six hours (and he didn't stop to have lunch), so plan on taking a day off. My husband and I bought several rolls of plastic from home depot and covered all the furniture and sealed the rooms off to contain the dust. I also removed all the blinds that we had. I spoke to Dan before the installation about the order in which the windows were going to be replaced; we came up with a plan to work in a way that made it easy to logically move the furniture around. The entire installation lasted two days, which was the original plan but seemed unlikely given that it was pouring down rain for the majority of the first day. Jason and his three man crew were prompt, polite, and clean. The stucco work was done by a man (and one helper) that does not work for Keenan, but does work with them. There was a good amount of stucco work that needed to be done around all the windows so Keenan covered the first $150 worth, and we were responsible for the remaining $300. There was a few odds and ends that needed to be completed so Jason came out once more after the stucco was done (to fill in a gap around one of the windows with wood glue) and then Dan came back to look everything over and scheduled the apointment for the inspector to come out. When the inspector came out there were two windows that were missing screws, so Dan sent a couple of the installers back to put those in and Dan scheduled the final inspection (which we passed). Having all the doors and windows replaced is a big job, but we took the time to prepare our house for it by covering everything and thinking it through. Yes, it is messy, dusty and a little incovienent for a couple days but everyone from Keenan window made the whole experience a good one. My husband and I love the look of the new windows, that they are safer, and that having them reduces our homeowners insurance substantially. The only negative about choosing Keenan is the wait between signing the initial contract and beginning the work (signed contract March 6th, work began May 20th). The last I spoke to Dan he said they were working on putting together a second crew to address that problem. In all fairness I would assume that we chose the busiest time of year to have the windows replaced (right before the start of hurricane season). If you aren't desperate to have your windows/doors replaced immediately, Keenan is definitely worth the wait. I would use them again, and I had recommended them to our neighbors.

We absolutely LOVED Keenan Windows. Jeff was exteremely prompt in answering any questions and always immediately answered his phone or emails. He helped us make the right selection for our home and gave us a great price. (We compared 3 other providers before selecting Keenan and felt Keenan was the best quality and value). His installation staff was polite, did a fantastic job and cleaned up after the installation. We highly recommend them and have already recommended them to several friends in our neighborhood and our renovation general contractor who was also looking for a new window provider. We couldn't be happier!!

From start to finish this company was professional, polite, punctual and peerless. I looked at three providers. Keenan was lower in cost by $10k!

The experience was good. The guy was very knowledgeable, he came out and explained everything to me. When we bought the house there were no keys for the hurricane shutters, and he said it wasn't difficult to get the keys. He explained the different types of windows to me, he was very thorough and I was pleased with his presentation. He looked at our other windows and said that he believed they were one of his and he might have actually installed them in the rest of the house. He did point out to me that whoever put in the screens put them in backwards, so I was able to get that fixed. Overall it was a very positive experience with him. He seemed very professional.

It went excellent they complete the job in the time frame committed and they followed up after the job was done.

Our overall experience with Keenan was very good. He showed up on time, people answered the phone and promptly responded with answers to our questions, and were accurate with the timelines. They delivered the wrong front doors, however, the issue was promptly addressed and corrected quickly. Their installers were very pleasant and clean, they were holding up the shop vac when cutting into our stucco to not make a mess, they swept up afterward and everyone showed up when we were told they would. I highly recommend them and would use them again for any of our future needs.

They came on the same day that I called and the estimate was very competitive.

jeff's price was very competitive with other quotes we received. concerning schedule we were told they would start on a date approximately 3 months in the future, which was fine with us. they showed up and began the work exactly as they said they would. everything was complete within the week and there were no issues with inspections. we definitely would do business with jeff again.

Their craftsmanship was second to none, with the finished product looking beautiful. The team made sure that I was completely satisfied with the finished product. The actual install team was very friendly, punctual, and courteous. Their price was not as good as some of the other quotes I received but I felt they had a much better professionalism and ultimately was extremely pleased with the purchase. When dealing with contractors, and seeing what some contractors have done in the past, after opening walls, to my newly purchased house before ownership, you realize how many out there cut corners, and do shotty jobs. You can be 100% certain that Keenan will not do such things. After getting some time to chat with some of the installers, they spoke about other companies they worked for and how others cut corners and didn't have quality controls over their workers and how Keenan has even a high level of opinion with inspectors. In my opinion, you get what you pay for, so the couple thousand extra dollars it cost, ultimately was well worth it. If I had a chance to do it over again, I wouldn't have changed a thing. This is the first time I've had any major renovations done on my home. I was very nervous. After getting a few estimates, I chose Keenan for many reasons. First, they gave the most reasonable price. Second, they answered all of my questions in a timely manner via phone or email. Third, they were very friendly and professional. Jeff was very helpful when he came to give me a quote. He answered all of my questions. Plus, afterwards, he worked with me as I needed to wait for my HOA approval before signing a contract. The workers that came to install the windows were on time both days. They were very nice and very efficient. They worked quickly and took very few (if any) breaks. They also were respectful of my floors and furniture as they worked. There were a few scuffs on my laminate floors, but I know they tried to be as "kind" to the floors as their work would allow. And most importantly...my windows look FANTASTIC! I couldn't be happier with the end result!

Jeff was the first one I called to get an estimate for replacing a sliding door with the French door with impact glass. He also gave me an estimate to replace all windows with impact glass, but I didn't have the budget to do everything. My main concern was matching the French door to another one in the same room, and Jeff said he can order exactly same one. His price for that door came out to be the best. When he came to re-measure I found out why - Jeff made a mistake taking initial measurements, but he still honored the price he originally gave me. So I signed a contract with him. The door was delivered a few weeks later as promised. Jeff handled everything very well including the inspection. After the installation there were a few minor issues which he addressed. He even addressed an issue with my old door and explained to me the details behind the locking mechanism. I can't complain - I got the door that I wanted for the best price.

Keenan Windows and Doors were very professional throughout the whole process. They were competitive with 3 quotes we received and started the project when stated and finished in a timely manner. The project went smoothly and the worksite was kept clean daily. The crews were all courteous, mindful of property and paid attention to detail. My experience with Jeff and Dan was great, they were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

Recently, I had hurricane windows and doors installed. Jeff arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time. I had two other quotes and Keenan Window & Screen was competitive. The installation was completed in a timely manner. The crew was courteous and polite. Daily, all work areas were cleaned. There was a slight problem with the installation of my front door, but it was rectified to my satisfaction. Dan came and inspected the ongoing work. Finish work and touch ups were professionally done. I have recommended the company to a friend for their renovations.

Jeff telephoned and made an appointment to come to the house. He arrived on time, measured my openings and clarified some restrictions I had to zero in on what he would quote. He was somewhat professional and he offered that he was extremely busy. His comment regarding delivery was nearly 3 months. I told him that that delivery may immediately eliminate him. He said he would review his workload and get back to me with hopefully a better answer. He promised the quote in 2 days. It was over 5 days. The pricing was extremely high for the same product that I was receiving prices for around 20-25% less. He never provided a better delivery or even mentioned the issue. I received the quote by email. I responded by saying his pricing was very high. I never heard back from him. Perhaps because he is so busy, he would not be competive or since he couldn't meet a good delivery, he just offered high pricing.

Excellent. Best price of three vendors I got quotes from. Professional sales team and installation crew. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend this company.

I usually do a lot more research and comparison when making big purchases but because Dan was such a pro when he came over and gave the estimate, I decided to go with Keenan without hesitiaton. The experience was overall pretty good from permitting to installation. Dan was very good at calling with updates and reminders. He was always available on his cell phone and if not, he called back within minutes. I would have given a perfect rating if not for a couple of details that were left unfinished. The installation went very well and quick. However, small details like windows not being caulked and a number of windows not being finished with stucco would be the only negative. To give credit, Keenan came out to deliver our hurricane shutters and when I pointed out the windows that needed caulking, it was taken care of in minutes. The stucco pro came out by the end of the week to finish the job.

Jeff, Dan and the whole Keenan Window crew are to be complimented for having such a professional run business. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

From beginning to end Jeff Rubert, owner of Keenan, was professional, knowledgable, easy to communicate with, and personally stayed connected with me. He not only provided a quality product, but he also went above and beyond to provide an outstanding customer service experience. I will definitely choose him again for future needs and gladly recommend him. I have not experienced customer service and punctuality like I have with Jeff.

My insurance company did an inspection and didn't like my doors. Keenan installed two new 'hurricane proof" doors and installed new locks and a new peep whole as well. They were on time, professional and nice to work with. I have to make a very strong point about the man who did the installation: he was outstanding!!! He made sure everything was perfect and made sure to pull the building permit to stay in compliance. It sounds like a lot of money but when you add up the doors, permit, new locks and peep whole they did a great job!! They are a super service award winner and lived up to their reputation.

Came out promptly following initial phone call with catalogs to assist us in selection of the doors. They then followed up in a timely manner to notify us of the installation date. All of the paperwork for the permitting was handled by them. The installers arrived on time and worked diligently for hours until the job was complete. Pricing was very affordable as compared to other places we had gotten estimates from.

I called to schedule an estimate which was arranged within one day of my call. Dan came on schedule, took measurements and gave us prices right away. He discussed options with us and helped us make a decision. I explained that we were getting another quote and would get back to him. He was not at all pushy and just asked that we be sure we were comparing apples to apples and to please let him know either way. We did get another quote but preferred Keenan because of their professionalism and promptness. They were slightly less in price but our decision was not based on price. The week before installation Dan called to reconfirm. The installation team arrived at the designated time and quickly began work. They were neat, courteous and their work was excellent. The job was completed on schedule. When the inspector came he said their work was impressive and it surpassed what was required and most of what he sees. We joined Angie's List specifically for this job and we are so glad we did. I would not hesitate to recommend Keenan.

We called Keenan Windows along with a few other Angie's List member window companies. Keenan was not the best priced however they were a close second. Keenan was very quick to get me an accurate quote. The other company lost the business because they did not get me a quote for 2 weeks and then I had to email them a reminder. A few days later I got the quote from someone else at the company I had not heard of. If they're that unresponsive before they have my money, how were they going to be after I gave them money? I did not want to find out. We scheduled the install date for about a month later to give them time to order windows. I received a call from them a few days before the install date to confirm. The crew showed up when they said they would and they finished the job on time and in a professional manner. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess whatsoever. The afternoon brought rain so the outside stucco work would have to be touched up the next day as well as some of the outdoor caulking. The next day a gentleman showed up and did the work quickly and with a minimum of fuss. He introduced himself as the owner of the company and thanked me for the business. That really went a long way with me. That says to me that the owner cares about the quality of the work as well as the customer's happiness with the job. I have about 5 more windows to replace that I could not afford to do this time. Keenan already has my business for the next phase.
